The writing assignment was to write a character analyze of one major character from the novel Of Mice and Men. Once you have chosen a character to analyze; select three adjectives to describe that character. Therefore each paragraph will show different perspective of it’s character traits. In order to write your essay you need an introduction. The introduction needs to have an effective hook, strong bridge, and an insightful 3 point thesis. For each body paragraph you must follow the “T.S Leatleac formula” handout, with a topic sentence that provides direction, the 2 best supporting quotes from the novel to prove each topic sentence, and an effective wrap up sentence that transitions into the next paragraph. For each of your example you must show analysis and explain how your example proves your topic sentence. Then you write your introduction that hooks the reader by providing a quote and how it relates to your essay, while using a transition word. Then you summarize the novel in 3 sentences, including main characters and what they are trying to accomplish. And one sentence telling reader what your essay is going to prove; the three points you will make in your essay. After writing the introduction you write the conclusion. You start with restating your thesis, summarizing and synthesize the main points that you make in your essay, and a sentence that the society can learn from your essay. This was the toughest part for me because I wanted each paragraph to include a topic sentence that tells the reader what your trying to prove in the paragraph. And a lead that includes one sentence to develope and expand; using context and a signal phrase. Then you include a quote that supports the argument in your topic sentence, a analysis that explains how your evidence supports your topic sentence. In addition a transition word that moves to explaining the next example while elaborating the message. Therefore you use this layout two times for each supporting example for each body

The character in Of Mice and Men that is most similar to Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby is Curley. Curley and Tom Buchanan have many similarities throughout both books. These shared characteristics stem from one thing both men have an abundance of: privilege. Curley and Tom are easily two characters with the least amount of struggle in The Great Gatsby and Of Mice and Men.
John Ernst Steinbeck Jr. was an American author wrote many novels including one of his most famous, Of Mice and Men. Of Mice and Men teaches many lessons about the nature of human existence. Each relationship grows throughout this short story and end with a dramatic experience. All of the characters, including Lennie, George, Crooks, and Curley’s wife, admit, at one time or another, to having a profound sense of isolation, seclusion and loneliness.

Everyone has dreams, big and small. When one dreams, there is a scent of whimsical hope in the air mixed with the powerful drive for success to obtain their luminous goals. But, many times these luscious dreams end up in grief and pain instead of a promised joy due to the hurdles in life, such as the certain circumstances that society professes or the flaws in a person that restrains them from their aspirations. The writer, John Steinbeck, incorporates this ideology in his novella, Of Mice and Men by creating three pivotal characters. Lennie, Crooks, and George all have schemes that go wrong, and yet hope to illustrate their desires of fulfilling their American Dream and to be prosperous for their own independent purposes.
Is murder always bad? In the book “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, a character who goes by the name of George shoots and kills his mentally disabled best friend on purpose. Some people would automatically think that George is a terrible human being, but based upon the situation the two men were in, George was only trying to protect Lennie. Even though George is tough on Lennie throughout the story, George is only trying to stop Lennie from getting into any trouble. Throughout the book, Lennie finds himself in troubled situations. His dear friend, George, often helps him out of these situations or shields him form harsh punishment. George’s actions justify his treatment and harsh actions towards Lennie.
Nunnally states its purpose to “provide[s] for effective inculcation of concepts such as unity, coherence, and development (Nunnally).” The model is structured to unite each paragraph to each other by using a thesis statement paragraph, three supporting paragraphs for said idea and finally, to summarize your essay. The use of transitional words allows the author to smoothly connect each paragraph and idea. Finally, the model develops chronologically. The author will introduce, prove and conclude. Friendship and companionship play a big role in people 's life and how they interact with others, and the world in general. How people build relationships is something that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. The less relationships that people build, the more lonely, and self-kept they become. Throughout the book Of Mice and Men, George, and Lennie are examples of the positive effects on building relationships, and Crooks is an example of the negative effects on not building relationships.
