I bet you've never seen what happened to kids in foster care. Some children need different care than others, and might live a better life if they could get care that meets their needs. This information allows this paper to state that foster care systems have some major issues that need to be fixed. This can be supported because the children in foster care that are running away, the many deaths and abuse of children, their futures being affected, and lastly, i'm going to talk about a way to solve some of these problems, or at least how you can prevent them. In one case a little six year old boy who weighed under 30 pounds when he died. His mom got sent away because of drugs and the foster care system had him go live with his grandma. She tied the boy to a banister and hit him multiple times. In his autopsy the found third degree burns and was severely bruised. Another little boy was beat to death by his own foster brothers. A girl with palsy disorder, a disorder that affects muscles in your face, was put in a foster home with a pool. Her foster parents left her outside alone to drown. Two year old Joel Hernandez was taken from his parents and placed with his step father’s brother. He beaten so badly he had to be put in a full body cast. The system then put him back with that family. He was later killed by his step father and his step uncle. They found him buried in a shallow grave. Animals have been proved to be the best type of therapy, for children in specific. The goal of bringing in animal in to work with these children is to meet a certain goal. Some of these include natural and deep bonds, building trust, getting rid of stress and anxiety, companionship, comfort, and overall well being of a child. There are three types of assistance animals service, emotional, and therapy. A child that gets taken out of there home because of abuse is very known to have post traumatic stress disorder. Also girls in foster care are twice as likely to have post traumatic stress disorder and depression than a boy in foster care. Children in the United States are more likely to grow up with a dog than a father. Therefore, they are looking into opening pet friendly foster homes, so children could go into foster care with their family pet. They are also looking into letting kids the the courtroom to assist children in cases of abandonment and abuse. These are ways assistance animals could be used to help children in foster
