China and India: Driving Forces of Overpopulation
According to BBC, India 's population reached nearly 1.21bn ("India census: population goes up to 1.21bn"). China is also has the population of 1.36bn according to Chinese Government ("China Statistical Yearbook-2014"). That 's almost the half of the Earth 's population.
There are negative outcomes of this situation like poverty, depletion of resources and disturbed cultural structures. Actually there are more than that but i want to stay on the line. There must be some measures against overpopulation. How well China and India do at taking measures? What are they doing to control and maybe to decrease their population? Are those laws working? We have a lot of questions to cover and a very little space to write.
The problem is overpopulation and those two countries are sharing the biggest percentages in world 's population when it comes to population. Their overpopulation problem is increasing poverty day by day, depleting food sources, distorts cultural traditions and standards.
If the problem continues this way, our world’s economy will start to lose strength. China is already dominating world economy thanks to its massive and cheap muscle force. But when it comes to microeconomics, public suffers from poverty. Increasing population means decreasing job opportunities. China and India is beautifully fulfilling their duties towards the crisis.
What are they doing and what
China has the largest population of any country on our planet Earth, with more than 1.35 billion people.
Real life examples of overpopulation are China, Brazil, and India in specific Guangzhou, China, Tianjin, China, Beijing, China, São Paulo, Brazil, and Mumbai, India which all have populations over 11 million. Practices across the world to prevent and educate on overpopulation include Offering sexual education for all students to prevent over reproduction, making contraceptives more widespread and easily obtainable, and creating more awareness for the dangers of overpopulation, these practices aren't always available especially in developing countries such as India, South America, and China. One popular policy in China is the One Child Policy where the Chinese government regulates the number of children parents can have with certain policies that give incentives to having only one child. Another example of over population is Chancellor High School which could benefit from its own one child policy. The tactics used in the movie are a little more harsh and inhumane than their real life counterparts. Early we discussed how we could easily reach a population size close that of the movie, there's no underlying reason preventing the creation of more crude and harmful methods to prevent or contain overpopulation in the
A good example of this is the Popular Republic of China, located in the Asia. According to the World Bank, it's the most populated country in the world, leading the global rank with 1.3 Billion of people (World Bank, 2016). With 7 billion people around the globe, China represents 20% of the world's population.
The current approximate population of the earth is 7.4 billion people as of 10:21 pm on 28 June 2016. The earth presently has a population increase of 1.3% per year. This growth is influenced by, geographic factors, socioeconomic factors and the lack of population equilibrium.
Overpopulation is an objectionable condition which the number of human population expands faster than the Earth’s capacity. Overpopulation is a result of various factors such as improvements in medical facilities. Moreover, overpopulation also has a critical impact on the environment and is a salient issue in the modern world as it has led to many economical and sociological issues. Even
Overpopulation is a condition that is undesirable. Overpopulation is one of the problems that people concern it to. One of the serious countries facing this problem is China. Reports in China show that it has about 1.38 billion people in this country (Worldometers, n.d.); it has about one over seven population of world’s population. China is the fourth largest land after Russia, Canada and the United States in the world (Central Intelligence Agency, n.d.). Although China’s land is not as big as Russia or Canada, but their number of people make up more than three countries. Overpopulation in China is one of the serious problems that the world is facing because it brings unemployment, exhaustion of natural resources and also environmental pollution.
Overpopulation is a growing problem all over the world. This is a very important environmental issue and needs to be dealt with. This environmental problem is affecting many countries in the world, but mostly the poor and impoverished countries that don’t have the resources to help deal with these issues. It also affects the environment like plants animal life and air quality. When the population of people expands we need more natural resources from the environment, so we consume more then we can produce. This leads to the lack of resources in many areas. When expanding we create a lot of pollution in the air, water, and land. The pollution affects many humans health. Overpopulation is doing more harm than any other environmental issue.
With a growing population in every country comes with challenges and dilemmas. 7.4 billion humans are living on earth today and it is projected to be around 9 billion by the year 2040. Important aspects partake into population growth such as fertility, migration, and mortality. Other aspects greatly effect population growth, however; each country has their own rate of growth. In 20-30 years the world population will grow yet, at grow at a decreasing rate which still raises challenges for the over populated countries. I have great interest in China; I will be explaining and giving an outline on the possible problems that China is currently facing, future dilemmas and advice to advise China with solutions with the it’s challenges.
There are many causes for overpopulation than just increasing numbers of people. Modern technology, improved medicine, more opportunities to get out of poverty, low fatality rates, immigration, and the "lack of family planning" (Rinkesh); all lead to overpopulation.
While India is on the verge of being the most populated country. While the third world countries are deprived of their resources rapidly. People in the United States have to say that the problem of over population has been curbed and infant production rate controlled.
Since China is the third largest nation in the world, the country has a huge population. China is actually the most populated nation in the world with the estimated population at 1,261,832,482. 92% of the population are Han Chinese while the other 8% are Zhuang, Uyhgur, Hui, Yi, Tibetan, Miao, Manchu, Mongol, Buyi, and Korean (Culture of China, n.d). The growing population in India is likely still increasing at a rapid speed. According to Taylor (2016), the overall India’s population was approximately 342 million when it obtained its independence in 1947. Moreover, (Phukan, 2014) states that the population of India has been growing quickly in around five decades to be more than 1.2 million. An increase in the population typically because the fertility rate is greater than death rate. It is due to several potential reasons, for example, cultural norm where girls get married at a younger age, also, traditional belief, having numerous children could increase family income (Population explosion in India, n.d.). Unfortunately, the number of population increases three times in the last five decades, yet, there is only nearly 20% of growing cultivated land which result in pressure on land, shortage of water and habitat destruction (Nagdeve, 2007). Thus, this report will examine the impacts of overpopulation on environmental issues which are related to the decline of land, shortage of water and habitat destruction in India.
India and China are the world’s two largest populated countries. Until 2012, the population in India and China are respectively 1,236,686,732 and 1,350,695,000. Despite ranking top in population, the countries now face flattening population growth with India from 2.3% in 1980 to 1.3% in 2011, and China from 1.3% in 1980 to 0.5% in 2011.
One of the world’s greatest problems is overpopulation, this has been going on in tons of countries including India, the worst of them all. It has been happening in India for many years and if it continues to go up at this rate it will become a very bad situation for everyone living there and will become a world problem. It is one of the biggest problems that needs to be stopped for the sake of so many lives. Many attempts have been tried, but none of them successful enough.
First and foremost, the high birth rate in India is the main root of the overpopulation. The high fertility rate is due to the impecunious of the country. To counter this, the nations give birth to more children, hoping that there will be more income resources. Besides, the people count upon that the survivability of their children is low and thus they keep producing more children. Moreover, most of
