"Water is an essential element in our daily lives, but for North Americans, water service is a convenience that we too often take for granted until a serious issue occurs,” (Waterworld, 2014). There is more than 1 billion people who lack adequate access to clean drinking water and at least estimated there are over 400 million that are children. "Because unclean water yields illness, roughly 443 million school days are missed every year." (Goodnet, 07 Oct, 2014). Providing clean water to the billons of people who don’t have access to clean water is important because it help maintain human health. “Clean water has become one of our most precious resources in the 21st century, in fact one in nine people live without access to clean and drinkable water.” (Goodnet, 07 Oct, 2014). Human need water that is clean and safe to drink so it can help maintain the body 's temperature, it would also lubricate and cushion the joints. To help provide clean water to developing countries our organization should provide help to an organization called charity: water, which are a nonprofit organization that provides safe and clean water to developing countries. Our organization should provide help to Charity: Water because it could help spread awareness around the world, help developing countries in creating ways to have clean water, and provide a health living environment. From this statements, "The figures are staggering: one billion people without clean water, 2.5 billion without proper

The article first provides a description of why water is important and who it affects next, it explains where water is and how it is used and lastly, it analyzes a solution and the consequences if a successful solution is not provided. The author gives data on the people who are affected by the lack of drinkable water in order to convince the reader that this is a large problem. The language in this article is simple yet informative widening the audience to anyone who can help aid the program or anyone who can spread the word about the program.
That “over 1 billion people lack access to safe water supplies;” and that “2.6 billion people lack adequate sanitation.” (WHO, 2005)
Clean water is essential to our basic needs as human beings and has been acknowledged as a basic human right according to the UN as of July 28, 2010. Still, 1 in 9 (782 million) people don’t have access to clean water, 1 in 3 (2.5 billion) don’t have access to adequate sanitation which results in the spread of often fatal and preventable disease. In a world where 2 in 5 people own a smartphone, it’s easy to forget that for some people even the most basic necessities are hard to come by. Approximately 3.5 million people die every year due to inadequate water supplies. Access to sanitation and safe drinking water could save the lives of 1.5 million children each year.
According to (" UN-Water”) 783 million people do not have access to clean drinking water. The majority of people living in America have plenty of access to clean drinking water and often take that opportunity for granted . The lack of water in undeveloped countries can have a major effect on the economy. Countries that Have clean drinking water means being able to shower, cook, drink, water that can also be used for agriculture. Undeveloped countries with unclean water do not have these benefits
The water and sanitation problem in the developing world is far too big for charity alone. Water.org is driving the water sector for new solutions, new financing models, greater transparency, and real partnerships to create lasting change. Their vision: Safe
any countries in the world are short of precious water. Given that water is so essential to everyday activities, such as cooking, washing, and growing crops, without the quality of water can affect our nation, even causing economic or social instability. The cdc estimates 780 million people around the world, more than 1 in 10, do not have access to an improved water source one that is protected from outside contaminants.
In recent years not only is the complex issue of water scarcity a widespread issue but
Knowing that not everyone in the world has access to clean water is terrifying. While I live in a first world country drinking eight cups of water a day without thinking about it, somewhere else another seventeen year old girl has to worry about getting sick from the water she drinks every day. I cannot just sit around and do nothing when somewhere out there some of God’s children are hurting.
The author, Maude Barlow, begins her article by stating that there is a problem concerning the world’s water and how it can affect the people’s way of living. She includes three possible outcomes that could result from how people are mistreating the water supply. Sources of freshwater are becoming scarcer as people keep polluting and depleting them. As the lack of clean freshwater decreases, the amount of children dying increases, more so than war and diseases altogether which occurs more frequently with those that are of low socioeconomic status. Those that belong to companies dealing with water exchange are taking advantage of the shortages by selling them to regular people at expensive rates; this could ultimately lead to the market’s dictating
Imagine living a life with limited water or not having any water at all. For many people, they wouldn’t survive or know how to go about life with this limitation. Water is a necessity to life, no matter where someone comes from or is currently living. Flint, Michigan, and Africa are just two of these places that are being affected currently by water. Many people do not know about Flint, Michigan having a water crisis currently unless they are from around that area and many don’t know how limited water resources are in Africa. Water has linked people all around the world through many different ways.
What is the one thing that all humans can agree on? Clean water. Then why are roughly 844 million people around the world living without access to clean water? (UN Water) As simple as it may seem, there are complex layers that have overlapped for generations, leading to an endless cycle of poverty. The scarcity of water contributes to issues in health, education, and poverty. Water impacts nearly every aspect of life; however, the most shocking fact is that we already have the solutions to provide safe water. The first obstacle that we must overcome is the allocation of resources. Now, more than ever, we have access to the world’s finest research and technology that could very easily end the water crisis. The solution to the water crisis starts with spreading awareness and reaching out to generous donors. Proper funding can be raised to reach the goals of charities across the globe. Sustainable clean water technology can be distributed to some of the most poverty-stricken countries in the world, such as Ethiopia, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which all have populations of over fifty percent living without improved drink water sources. (Africa Development Information) I believe we have the means to provide solutions to put an end to the water crisis, but it will require effort from donors and local communities alike. It is possible within the decade that no one will need to drink unsafe water again if we are united by this cause.
My interest in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) begun when I was working with the Red Cross in a post disaster rehabilitation project in coastal areas of my home country, Bangladesh. The 2007 cyclone contaminated about 70% of the water sources in the affected communities resulting an outbreak of waterborne diseases. I observed the challenges of providing safe drinking water to the victims which motivated me to pursue my career in this field. By training I am a Civil and Environmental Engineer with a MS in Water Resources Development (WRD). Currently pursuing my second master’s in Environmental Studies from Florida International University (FIU). I have worked in the WASH sector for seven years with different organizations and in a variety of contexts, including emergency response, refugee settings, urban slums and regular development programs. To prepare myself for addressing global WASH challenges and to hone my acquired skills, I want to pursue a PhD in the Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) program. My qualifications, both from an academic background and practical experience, makes me a competent candidate for the program.
Children in third world countries don’t deserve water as much as Children in the United States. What person on this earth, in the right mind, would agree with this statement? In the public service announcement,” Water” Sequence Media discusses the importance of first world countries conserving water. Although the logos and ethos are very key appeals in this commercial pathos is the strongest of the appeals represented. This Public Service Announcement informs first world citizens of the problem that is less fortunate children who are thirsting to death. If water conservation is improved in these more prosperous countries there will be a greater supply for those living in the less privileged countries.

Although water is abundant around the world, clean water for millions of people is inaccessible. Around the world, there are people struggling to get water yet along clean water and it greatly affects our health. So what really is on tap in America?
