• Ask students to summarize things that they have learned while studying birds. Tell students that they are going to create piece of art will celebrate all of those things while demonstrating the amazingness of the bird species and their own creative abilities. • Explain that the class is going to create a unique piece of art, a piece of community art where each person in the classroom contributes to part of the finished product. Explain that when a group of people put effort into one project something special can be created because it is more than one person could have done alone. • Explain that the class will be making a zentangle. That a zentangle is a simple line drawing of any object, where each section of the drawing is then filled in …show more content…
A land bird, such as a pheasant, water bird, such as a flamingo or a parrot or bird of prey may be good contrasting choices. Let children vote. Use the chosen bird to be the central focus of the poster, make a simple sketch of the bird in its natural environment. Divide sections such as water, plants of ground into multiple sections so children can make zentangle designs in multiple areas of the poster. • Ask kids to think of what kinds of line patterns could go on the poster. Let a few kids come up to the board to show the patterns they are thinking of. Next hand out plain index card swatches where kids can make a few pattern examples that they think would work for the poster. Also, so an online search of simple line pattern to shoe the kids additional ideas. When kids are finished, collect the swatches and put them into a metal ring. • Next draw a line pattern on the board in an 8 by 11 inch space. Then cut a circle in the center of a piece of paper. Place the paper over the design on the board to show how a continuous pattern looks when it is interrupted by a shape. Let the children know that the edges of the pattern should appear to continue on, even though they are confined by the shape of the section they are filling. Make a small view finder, matching the size of the index card swatches and show the students how to use it, over their sketched ideas, to see how a pattern will look
The artifact I have chosen to attach to the discussion board was CE230 unit nine project. What I learned based on that assignment was how to develop creative activities for young children from the age of five and seven. After completing the different activities with the students in this project we had to show what were the student’s objective and what leaning experience where you trying to achieve and was it accomplished with this activity. Example after completing the activity you would indicated if the student was able to follow directions. You would observe if the child was able to correctly solve the problems and it the students showed interest in the game. I recalled when I was in grade school we played Math Bingo it was fun and educational.
After students will have a chance to utilize graphic organizers to organize and explain every day activities. To start, students will write a paragraph describing how to do some task they are familiar with (making a
Give each student a pre-cut hat shaped paper. Be sure to have a variety of materials to use such as paper, fabric, wrapping paper, pompoms, and tissue paper that they can glue onto their hat. This is a great way to work on fine motor skills and using scissors, have students work with paper materials first before giving them materials that they will not be able to cut with their scissors.
This was done by making a flower shape on a piece of paper and then getting the children to cut around it. I carefully supervised the children to make sure that they do not hurt themselves while they were doing the activity. I also asked the children that were
Right side: This side I designed for students who are a little more advanced. I spray painted this side with chalkboard paint so that the students can directly write on the board. The students will role a dice to determine the number they are going to use. They will then fill in the four boxes on the chalkboard paint. The first one requires them to write the number. The second one has the student write tally marks for the number. The third box asks the students to fill in a ten frame. Lastly, the fourth one has the students draw a picture. (Example: draw 3 triangles, 4 squares.)
When I visited Sweat-Winter, I observed the children deepy invested in their topic about birds. They were in meeting time and together they were discussing Maine birds and different ways we could attract them to the playground in the small community of Farmington. The kids learned how to make bird feeders and talked about the anatomy of a generic bird, the different noise and their diversity. They started with bird feeder and used specific materials to make them 3D. Posters and stuffed animals were all around the room to show different characteristics of the birds so the kids could experiment and observe birds every day.
I was not mentally prepared to be making my own project choices for this class. In the past classes, whether art or writing, I try to focus on something I am passionate about or some thing that pisses me off. The thing that pisses me off is rape and child sexual abuse, I have been able to incorporate this subject into 3 D Design and Composition. I have no clear idea how to translate that subject into drawing at this point in time. So I think I will pursue one of my favorite subjects, which is waterbirds, Swallow Tail Kites and some of their environment.
The students that were interested in making these patterns would practice making different designs. Once we layer out the design for the toy chest the tiles were then glued on by the teachers. We then sent our toy chest to "Art All Night" and this was definitually an experience for the students that attended. The decorated toy chest is no longer in our room, but it's
I know, it sounds like art class. Art is where you paint, draw, and learn different techniques on artwork and artists. This craft class would have paintings or drawings, it would all be crafts! The crafts would be student suggested. If a student stumbled upon a craft they really wanted to make, but didn’t have all the materials, they could suggest it for this class. The teacher could look it over, make sure it’s okay, and if he/she was unsure, check with the administration. They could make anything from clothes, jewelry, anything craft related. This class would be a semester class. This concludes the second paragraph of a class I would like to have at
I chose this this topic because I don't have a flannel board and it's another way to promote literacy. I can apply in the classroom by hanging a flannel board on the wall with the flannel board pieces out at all times for the children to explore it's a great tool to tell stories. Each month I am allowed $30 to spend so I will buying some flannel board stories for the children.
In the Art class when we were M.3 students, I remember how hard of work that our teacher ordered us. That day I feel very bad because I can’t imagine how I can draw it. Fortunately, you taught me how to make my works look good and what technics I should use. You’re my lifesaver! Furthermore, we also make a good team on every group projects.
We chose this topic because we were interested in the animals of Australia and how they affected the Australian environment. First of all, we chose our topic which was animals in Australia and how they impacted the environment. We typed out the proposal and after we got our proposal approved, we decided to start working on the actual game board. We took purple paper and traced Australia onto the paper from the help from Ms. Gale’s projector and cut it out. After we cut it out, we glued the paper onto the poster board and started to cut out the tiles out of colorful index cards and glue them onto the board. We also researched facts about our four animals for homework, which were the European Red Fox, European Rabbit, the kangaroo, and the koala.
In each topic, the first lesson will focus on encourage students to disclose injustice issues presented in images. For example, the lesson is deal with the topic of animal protection and fashion industry, I will show relevant images to students and provide them background information. Then I will encourage students to consider why fashion industry would like to use animal’s fur to make cloth? Students will discuss their ideas in group and share with classmates. Next, I will ask students to figure out solutions to solve this problem. I will ask them to draw a draft that reflect their solution using visual
My students will create their own Natures Notebook out of donated notebooks given to the school or I will provide them given the income status and if the student’s families can afford one. I will start the Natures Notebook with a PowerPoint describing what the project is, how it will be graded weekly and why it is important. For the observations, we will take 20 minutes at the beginning of class to go outside and observe, write what we observe and in the class that will lead us into our unique lesson plan for the day. At the end of the lesson, students will have 5 minutes to make a prediction for the next day.
Personal Project is a project that each 10th grade students must design and exhibit at the end of the process. Students all have chosen different types of project that’s significant in their different areas of interaction. The project I have chosen to do is creating special effects that often appear in movies. My area of interaction is Human Ingenuity. Special effects were created by human and it’s used a lot in the current world. I choose to focus on the process of learning the actual process of making the special effect so I would be able to create my own at the end of the process. I could’ve also be focused on the area of Communication. For example running a EA or a workshop teaching others how to create their special effect. But I
