Over the years in the world of comics there has been a major rivalry between Marvel Studios and DC. Both studios have put out amazing content and are the top in Superhero creation. However, there’s always the question of which one is better. There are two teams, Marvel’s Avengers and DC’s Justice League. Each team has multiple members, and it’s always been a debate on which team would come out victorious. In a battle between the Avengers and the Justice League who would win based on the heroes’ individual skills? In order to find out how a battle between the two groups would happen we split the two teams into six different pairs. Each hero was pit against someone who would have a similar skill set or power level as them. After the sets were created, we then began to find out each character’s individual skills. Assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each hero against the other created a modest guess on who would win the battle. This is based solely on the skills of each character and does not factor in battle areas or if the teams were to fight against each other together. …show more content…
Superman is an iconic symbol even to people who have never seen the movies or read the comics. Superman, or Clark Kent is an alien from the planet Krypton who fights for Earth and all the humans who live there. From his strength to his speed and even being able to fly Superman is superhuman in everything he does. However, Superman has a few glaring weaknesses. Krypton is a radioactive particle from Krypton that weakens Superman to the point of being human. Despite being from another planet Krypton doesn’t appear that hard to collect by people who have the right
When someone thinks of a superhero, they think of someone that is strong and immortal. Someone that can’t be defeated yet, they go into battle with as much bravery as someone that goes into battle knowing they CAN be defeated. Every superhero has traits that make them great, but they also differ in many things as well. Although Captain America and Beowulf are similar in their weaknesses, strengths, and bravery, they also differ in their motivations, character traits, and heroics, making Captain America the better hero.
Superman, also known as Clark Kent, is the most popular modern day hero. Superman spent most of his time saving people from natural disasters and corrupt businessmen. He would level slums to force the city to build decent housing, and he would use his powers to terrorize munitions makers.
To be a hero, one must stand up and accept a challenge in the face of sacrifice, danger and risks. To finish the task, however, one needs to acquire certain skills and abilities that will give one the power to overcome adversities. Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit and Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series are prime examples of heroes that used their skills to the greatest extent, succeeded incredibly and gained long-lasting reputations. From physical strength to mental fortitude, skills have proven to be a necessity in completing any type of challenge. Let us see how our two heroes used their skills and achieved their greater ends, and defeated any foes that came within their path, internal and external.
There’s no question that the battle between comic book companies will never end. But nothing stands out more than the feud between Marvel and DC. With both companies, having their ups and downs, we can only compare whose moment is now, and whose moment is coming. With character development and storylines are too opinionated to compare, like comparing an apple with an orange, we can only judge on who’s making more money.
Both Marvel and DC have their collection of heroes and villains. The only heroes and villains that will be compared are ones with near god-like abilities. Superman is one of these god-like heroes from the DC universe. He has the ability to fly, super strength, near invincibility, super speed, and laser vision. Although he was killed in the events of Batman V Superman, he was revived in the events of Justice League. Superman could destroy tanks, planes and other enemies with relative ease. His comparative hero from the Marvel universe is Thor. Although Thor cannot fly without his hammer, he has the ability to call down lightning, super strength and immortality. Thor did lose his eye in the events of Thor: Ragnarok,
Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman—what do all these characters have in common? They are all products of the human aspiration to be saved. The word hero is passed around too much these days. A hero is not a football player that scores the game-winning touchdown or the goaltender who saves his team from a loss. A hero is usually an ordinary person that did extraordinary things. A true hero is really never a hero at all; at least not in their own mind. However, there are various cases today in which we see the exact opposites of these characters, the anti-heroes. The anti-hero is one who cannot be classified as a hero, for that said character lacks natural heroic qualities. However, the anti-hero cannot be described as a villain either.
But whence digging past the loud colours and the "it's-a-bird-it's-a-plane," generic, one realises the true face of Superman. He isn't super for his inhuman abilities or his capricious appearance, he isn't a true man for his strong build and his appealing features: Superman is super because he's what everyone should aspire to be, and he is a man because he melds the world in a form of good and good only. For if Superman wanted to, he could rule the world and no one would be able to stop him. Superman is, literally, a god among men. He has the power to sink entire continents and kill millions of people with ease, but he chooses to protect everyone, good or bad, no matter how insignificant and tiny the life is for nothing in return. Superman is a hero because he's there for everyone, never compromising his ideals and taking the high road to support those in need. This is despite the fact that he could basically be a god lording over others without much trouble, but instead chooses to serve and inspire. That is why he is a hero. Superman is the ultimate hero, and not just because he is the most powerful being on earth but for his integrity which sets him completely apart. One could constantly remark on how Superman looks for the best in everyone, how he is ultimately loyal and selfless, not even considering the fact that he could rule the world but chooses to serve is the greatest compliment you can
The main factor that tells me that Superman is a better Superhero is that fact that he actually has powers whereas Batman has to rely on money. Superman has many powers such as: Extreme strength, invulnerability, heat and x-ray vision, super breath, and flight. Batman on the other hand, has no powers and without his billionaire status, would
themselves, heroes have many choices to make and these choices can dictate their future or
By now we should all know the two leading Industries in superhero comics, graphic novels and blockbusters,Marvel and DC. and although both companies are great in their own ways, comic fans everywhere love to debate about which side is better. on one side fans argue DC is better because They were the original superhero company, that gave birth to some of the most iconic superheroes today, such as Batman,Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash. But I say that Marvel is better because I believe superhero should be human to a certain degree In order for us, the readers/viewers to relate, they should just be normal people with exceptional powers and a moral compass. they should have basic human wants and needs and inner strengths and weaknesses
In batman series, he fights with criminals as a masked vigilante whose alter ego is Bruce Wayne, an American billionaire and industrialist. His dual identity known to his partner robin, Alfred- the butler and city police Commissioner Mr. James Gordon. Every episode start with a crime committed in the city followed by Commissioner Gordon briefing information about the crime to batman and after solving the case they was appreciated by the Commissioner Gordon and entire police staff. As a result, it represent that he works as a secret agent within the law enforcement and because of that he has a heroic image in public. Similarly, the green hornet is also vigilante crime fighter whose alter-ego is Britt Reid, a billionaire and owner and publisher of the newspaper “The Daily Sentinel”. His dual identity was known to his partner Kato and district attorney Mr. Frank P Scanlon. But, unlike the batman, they are wanted criminal in police records. They themselves spread this news through his newspaper. So, that they can get close to the criminals and take advantage. Clearly, the batman and the green hornets both are crime fighters and both share same mission to protect the city and people from criminals but, their image as vigilante differ from one another, as one portrayed as a hero and another as a wanted criminal in the police
Heroes have been fascinating and more intriguing compared to other creations. However, what if you combine all of your favorite heroes into one location? A more action thrilling impact occurs! Marvel skyrocketed to the top once Justice League came upon their fans. With the set of heroes in one specific area and then never before seen interactions with each other, bewildered the fans to purchase. With that being said, DC will finally release their own corporation of Batman, Superman, etc. into the new upcoming movie known as Justice League. Both companies chose to do
The constant battle between our favorites has shown itself common now more than ever. Who do we like better? What do we like better? What is the absolute best? Are these questions necessary? No. But do they keep our lives interesting? Oh yes. In the spring of every year, there always seems to be a new superhero movie that debuts and leaves us on the edge of our seats, waiting for the next one. This year, we are being blessed with two movies, from two separate corporations, Marvel and DC; which leaves us with the question… Who did it better?
Has there ever been a point in your life that you wished you could be a superhero or superhuman? Most, if not all, people’s answer to that question would be a resounding “yes,” including mine. Over the years, more TV shows and movies have begun to incorporate what we would consider to be our “heroes” into them. These shows, or movies, consist of a hero, or heroes, that are typically aided by friends and a team that help them fight evil; two examples of this are Arrow and The Flash. Hero shows, or movies, can be a quite broad category, but it can be broken into smaller categories like superhuman heroes, mortal heroes, dark heroes, or otherworldly heroes. The Flash is a superhuman hero while Green Arrow is a mortal, but dark hero. The two
This has happened so that people are not able to draw the line between the superheroes and the anti heroes. This line is more of a shadow line or a blurred line. The difference between the two is not known by many people. The definitions are even also confusing due to which to differentiate between the two becomes tough. It has lead to many debates and many long conversations regarding establishing the difference between the two. The root of the problem caused regarding distinguishing between the two characteristics is
