If I was living in Europe between 1550 and 1800, I would not be excited to cross the great, vast Atlantic. Engravings of slaves and the new world would make me nervous. Leaving your norm, and stepping forward to a new life would leave me scared shaking. Change is good, especially when there is new opportunity and freedom from a ruler that is harmful. Although the thought is nerve wrecking, protecting my family and future, I think I would take a leap and go to the America’s to. If it means a better life away from depression and expressing my own religion it would be the better option. The engravings of Native Americans being changed and morphed into Europeans, would make me somewhat uneasy. Seeing another human being degraded like that would

This New World for Europeans was actually a very old world for the various people they met in North America. Today we call those people American Indians.
Question: analyze the social and economic continuities and changes that occurred in Europe between 600 and 1750.
The shift between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance was characterized by great socio-economic, political, and religious changes. Politically, the feudal system of the Middle Ages was exchanged for a more stable centralized republic/monarchy system that gave the people more freedom and input. Religiously, secularism became more important as stability gave people a chance to concern themselves with the “here and now” rather than simply the “hereafter.” Socially, there was a shift from dogma and unshakeable belief to humanism and the ability to interpret things for oneself. The Middle Ages began around 400 CE and lasted until 1400 CE while the Renaissance began around 1200 and continued until 1600. The 200 years that overlap between
Europeans had many goals throughout the 1500s and 1600s. To achieve their goals, they deferred to the non-European culture. However, the question remains how did the Europeans accommodate themselves to Non-European culture? The European traders and missionaries would accommodate themselves by integrating into the Non-European culture, by adapting their physical appearance, by referring to the traditional practices, and through the response of the nations wants to European goods.
During the 19th and 20th century, Europe witnessed its so-called demographic transition, with a fall in birth rates and an even greater fall in mortality rates, which led to a rapid increase in the population. The demographic transition was essentially a result of a decrease in chronic infectious diseases like tuberculosis, syphilis, diphtheria, measles, dysentery, and typhoid fever.
In a time when Native Americans occupied present-day America, the Age of Exploration began in Spain, and the Puritans who disagreed with the Church of the England fled to a place where the Puritans could practice their faith without scrutiny. It is in this context that the Native Americans used to dominate the New World until the Spanish founded New Spain for Gold, God, and Glory. The English explorers who settled in the New World after being persecuted in England and to make profit this caused conflict with the natives eventually leading to the French and Indian War. The Spanish and English colonies that settled between 1492 and 1700 were significantly different in the way the two different groups used religion to determine what happened

There are an abundant amount of differences, some major and some minor, between the two time periods of 1650 and 1750. There were also quite a few similarities as well. Firstly focusing specifically on the economics portion, in 1650 the slavery business wasn’t as widespread as it was in 1750. In fact, in 1650 indentured servitude was the more common variety of labor workers the colonists relied on. In the text it states, “About 80 percent of the immigrants to the Chesapeake during the seventeenth century came as indentured servants” (Roark 60). This evidence exhibits the fact that slaves weren’t exclusively being captured and brought to the colonies just yet, and if they were they weren’t the major amount that they end up being in 1750. There were numerous benefits as well as drawbacks for both the European and American societies as a result of their interaction after 1500. On the one hand, the benefits were the advancement of agriculture, the expansion of trade, and the promotion of intermarriages. However, the drawbacks included the spread of diseases, the establishment of slavery, and the introduction of Christianity.

It took advantage of the fact that when steel is struck with flint or other materials, sparks were created. The lock had a wheel with a serrated edge connected to a spring which could be wound with a key called a spanner, and held under tension.
