C.S. Lewis's story, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe has many movies and a book about it. Not all of them are exactly alike the other but they have many similarities. The book and the newest movie is probably the closest to each other
Narnia the book
First is the book, the book was probably my favorite because of all of the details C.S. Lewis put in it. In the book the reason they was sent to the professor's house is because there were air raids happening in England where the kids lived. Lucy, who was the youngest, Edmund, the youngest other than Lucy, Susan, who was the oldest besides Peter, and Peter, the oldest, was playing hide and seek. While in the game Lucy found a wardrobe with large coats in it, so she decided to hide there. Lucy

The play had a lot of differences. The kids was at the professor's house with no air raids. The characters was much different than any of the others. It was a quick and short story. All of the animals were life size. They went straight into the wardrobe without playing hide and seek. They found out Mr. Tumnus was captured by the white Witch. Fenrus Olf was the chief police that had taken Mr. Tumnus in. A life-size beaver started talking to the kids and told them to go to his beaver home. Once they got there Mrs. beaver was cooking them dinner. Peter and Mr. beaver went to fish. Once they got done fishing they ate and realized Edmund was missing, like all of the others. They went to find him but they was getting chased by the white witch. They went to the beaver hide out. They passed the animal party. Father Christmas did not give them anything it was Aslan who gave their weapons to them. Everything was the same up to this point until when Aslan came back to life. Hey flew instead of running to the witch’s Castle. Once he freed all of the stone creatures he took them to battle the white witch. Once they defeated the white witch all of them screamed and yelled because of their victory. After that the four kids became kings and queens of Cair
Memory is the quality that allows the readers to personally connect with a work of art. Relatable works tend to have more of an emotional impact on the reader. Symbols are used to connect the tangible to something intangible. Through this connection, readers will associate the aspects of the thing being symbolized to the symbol. For example, if a character is used to symbolize the devil in a work of art, the audience will associate the aspects of the devil to the character. Patterns allow readers to parallel one work of art to another work of art.
A third similarity is, in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, the White Witch takes ownership of Edmund’s life as soon as he betrays Narnia. She says to Aslan, “You know that every traitor belongs to me as my lawful prey and that for every
The first thing you see when you pick up the book is the brilliantly designed cover with the title, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Immediately attracting the audience, the book is opened and before the reader delves into a wonderful world of imagination and fantasy, they reach the dedication page. Many people choose to ignore dedication pages, but if the time is taken to read the message written by the author, C.S. Lewis, to his Goddaughter, the audiences’ eyes will be open to a deeper level of understanding. It reads, “My Dear Lucy, I wrote this story for you, but when I began it I had not realized that girls grow quicker than books. As a result you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will
There are also many similarities, or else it wouldn't be The Chronicles of Narnia. The similarities and differences can be due to artistic differences for instance how one person interprets something may not be how another interprets it, budget reasonings, or it may just simply have to do with a time line of the filming. Seeing as a majority of films are not made by the author of the book, it can be extremely hard for a director and movie writer to completely capture the book on film. Another thing that could make it hard to transcribe the book to film is
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland written by Lewis Caroll was originally published on November 26, 1865. On the other hand, the movie version, directed by Clyde Geronimo, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske and produced by Walt Disney, was published in 1951. Carroll's book has twelve chapters and begins by describing a girl who named Alice that falls down a hole and finds herself in wonderland. In comparison, the movie begins with a scene not included in the book in which Alice sings about “her world,” foreshadowing wonderland. In the beginning, the versions are similar. Alice follows the rabbit because she is bored with her sister who only wants to read books with pictures. When she follows the rabbit, Alice finds herself in a different world. The difference is that in the book when Alice comes to the place, she finds the rabbit and follows him until she sees many doors. In the movie, however, the door talks to her instead.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a fiction in which one of the main characters, the sturdy lion Aslan, has the most power and authority. There are tons of images of Aslan from the book and the movie that relate to Jesus in Bible. The most outstanding images are the death of Aslan on top of the stone table which represents the crucifixion of Jesus, Aslan’s rebirth which is similar to the Resurrection of Jesus, and Aslan’s offering the stone statues life just as the figure of God made everything. Shortly, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe includes a number of biblical images that are the details from the Bible which were reflected by the book and the movie.
Lucy, the main character in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", was trying to prove to her siblings that she was speaking the truth while Tris, the main character in the novel "Divergent", did the opposite. Tris’ goal was to keep her secret from everyone to save her life and the lives of a few of her friends. Buck, an intrepid and mighty sled dog, was also working to persevere without being killed by his absurd owners or other rabid dogs. However, they were all either fighting for their lives or seeking acceptance from their loved ones.
Cannery Row, Of Mice and Men, and The Pearl have similarities in setting, although one does not take place in the same area as the others.
Have you ever wondered about the deeper meaning of the book The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe? Although this children’s book was written as a fantasy by C.S. Lewis, there are many comparisons to the Gospel accounts of the Passion of Christ. This essay will explore the similarities and differences.

Macbeth the movie and Lion King are very different, but very similar. One is a cartoon animation movie by Disney and the other is a play written by William Shakespeare that was later produced into a movie by Ian McKellan. Both movies have a tradegy, but also have a small heros journey and I will show the comparsion between them both.
The two literary pieces that i believe should stay in the cannon are “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” I chose these 2 pieces over one of the pieces that the book went more in depth with, because these were books that i grew up reading in school when i was a kid. To be honest, I have never heard of any of the other literary pieces from this chapter. I really wish that our book would have gone more in depth in these 2 pieces. I remember reading “Alice in Wonderland” in school when i was a kid and i remember thinking how outrageous the story and the characters were. But, that is what i loved about it. I loved it because it wasn’t like any other book we had to read in school. It was so imaginative and it felt like
Another of Narnia's key characteristics is that its inhabitants revere and depend upon the children. At their temporary home in England, the children are unsupervised and irrelevant. The Professor involves himself little with the children's affairs as Peter notes, "That old chap will let us do anything we like!" (p.2) and Mrs. Macready displays impatient disregard for them. The children's situation breeds problems. Lucy is afraid of the Professor and her new surroundings, Edmund mocks the Professor's odd appearance and generally misbehaves, and Peter believes he and his siblings can be as mischievous as they please. The children bicker constantly. Without responsibilities and respect to accompany it, the freedom afforded by the Professor's indifference does not translate into maturity.
