Text structure is how a text is organized. Text structure is grouped into five main categories. In, “Another reason to flip the off switch: light pollution” by, Catherine Hours, and in, “N.C. drinking water tainted with chemical byproducts for decades” by, C.B.S news, the author used many text structures. There are many similarities in the text structures of these two articles. The first similarity in the text structures is when C.B.S news states, “The plant is situated on a 2,100-acre property on the Cape Fear River in Fayetteville. It is there where a chemical called GenX -- a potentially cancer-causing substance that is a byproduct of DuPont and Chemours' manufacturing processes -- is produced.” This can be compared to the article written
Arthur Junot Diaz was born in the Dominican Republic and with his family immigrated to the United States when he was only seven years old. His Hispanic cultural background influences his story and characters Diaz’s characters use Latin dialect throughout the story “Fiesta 1980”. Likewise August Wilson grew up in a black neighborhood up north that influenced his characters, setting, and dialect in Fences. Both Diaz and Miller wrote from a cultural perspective. Each Arthur depicted how it was to live and grow up in their particular culture. Through the use of culture both Diaz and Wilson portray how important it

In Okita's poem, American identity has more to do with how you experience culture than with where your family came from. Both Okita's poem and Cisneros's short story show that cultural heritage and physical appearances do not determine what it means to be American.

It has been said that many siblings are very similar; However my sister and I are nothing alike we are actually very different. When two people have the same blood type and genotype is not insured that you will be exactly the same. Having same parents increases the chances of having the same genes though. All Siblings have various behaviors and personalities that make them dissimilar. Siblings have a genetic and physical closeness that connect them together. It is reasonable that not all sisters resemble each other. My sister and I are completely opposite.

If there was no structure in writing, would you be able to find the theme of that writing piece? Structure is used to solidify and give life to the theme of that writing. Structure backs up the theme and also makes writing more interesting. There are many ways that structure helps portray theme. The question I want to focus on is whether the texts (feeding of four thousand and five thousand) are compatible on their own, then whether they are compatible with each other. When I ask whether they are compatible with each other, I am asking whether both of the stories themselves contradict the other story.
