Say: We have read about three different versions of the popular fairytale Cinderella. Now we will connect the ideas and structure of the three texts, Cinderella, Cendrillon, and Bigfoot Cinderrrrrella, to determine the similarities and differences.

Students should have access to all three texts (Cinderella, Cendrillon, and Bigfoot Cinderrrrrella) when answering the text-dependent questions. As students answer the text-dependent questions, teachers can record students’ answers on the three circle Venn Diagram. See below for example.
