When faced with pointing out the cons of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, one may feel there aren’t many if any. Or maybe that it’s a justified contradiction to the first amendment, which from the U.S. Constitution reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
