1. The earth’s sun is a star, it generates heat and light through nuclear fusion.
Many physical properties of stars can be found by using a little bit of light. One property of a star is luminosity. Luminosity is the quantity of energy created in a star and then released as electromagnetic radiation. The brightness of a star is a blend of luminosity and distance of a star and can also depend on the quantity of energy absorbed in the direction of a star. Another property of a star is distance. Astronomers use parallax to establish the distance to an object. As Earth travels around the Sun, they monitor neighboring stars from various positions. They are then able to measure how much the star seems to move to establish the distance to the star.

Many philosophers have said that the ‘Eyes are the windows to the soul.’ The eyes can show a person’s true personality. Not their clothes, facial expressions, or how they hold themselves, but looking into another’s eyes will show one’s soul. But what if their personality was not found in their eyes, but on their body in the form of a mutation? As found in Black Hole, the town’s teens have contracted an STD they call “the bug.” Each teen that acquires it grows an external mutation. This can especially be seen with some of the main characters: Keith, Rob, and Chris. Keith grows appendages that look like tadpoles on his chest. Rob has another mouth on his neck. Chris sheds her skin. Each of these mutations indicate what this person is actually like. The external mutations of Keith, Rob, and Chris symbolize the characters’ inner selves.

Whether you’re getting directions, calling a loved one to let them know you’re running a little late, or checking Facebook to catch up with an old high school friend, cell phones have began to dominate our technology based society due to their easy accessibility and endless uses. While “nine-in-ten Americans own a cell phone and nearly two-thirds own a smartphone,” the cell phone is has become one of the only things the vast majority of people deem necessary in their life (Rainie et al., 2015). “Ch 1: Always on Connectivity,” written by by Lee Rainie and Kathryn Zickuhr, explains how dependent adults really have become of our cell phones. “8 Fascinating Facts About How Teens Use The Internet And Social Media” elaborates
People have cell phones everywhere, especially teenagers. Teenagers are glued to their cell phones; they need cell phones almost everywhere they go. Today teens are depending on their phones for everything. The number of cell phones users has increased and as of 2010, there were more than 303 million subscribers in the U.S., according to the cellular companies (Hanna). As a result of teenagers over using cell phones, teens are being impacted emotionally, socially, and physically.
One warm, sunny summer day me, my sisters, my brother and his friends were talking about going to do something that night since we didn’t have anything else better to do, we decided that we would go cosmic bowling. As I was getting ready my brother called out to me from his bedroom “Brooke are you about ready to leave? Bowling starts at 10pm and it's already 9pm and we still have to pick up Jesse and Devon.” I said back “Yes Tyler just let me finish straightening my hair.” After I was finished be were running a little late so we sped out of the house so that we could get the others and make it to the bowling alley on time. As we arrived we had 5 minutes left to spare. Then we walked in and looked for my sisters that said they were already
Stoic metaphysical idea of cosmic determinism is human beings using their ability of free will to make their own decisions, knowing that every action that they make will always have consequence. Every event is always cause by another action, which is led by the decision that someone made. Events cannot be avoid because there will be another event cause by your actions avoiding the previous event. For example, if you were to be shot by a man on the street and dodge the bullet and that bullet killed someone else that happen to be there. The action you made killed the random civilian, which is the consequence and unenviable event. Everything will come back around and become a continuous cycle cause and effect that will never stop.

Ever wondered how it would feel to experience life on a space mission? Have the gravity pull you in and come along as we journey into space on Galaxy Impact! On Galaxy Impact you’ll be faced with top speeds of 75 miles an hour with a duration of 60 seconds. This ride features the newest technology of several virtual reality screens, therefor making this an incredibly real scenario. Jump on to our surround sound cars that hold 32 people at a time. In these inverted seats you’ll be able to just pull the harness over and down until it can’t possibly continue any further, and as a result you’re nicely secure. With the design of these cars it causes you to feel as if you are floating around in an actual space shuttle, making this whole adventure a unique ride that you will only experience once in a lifetime. You will start off by blasting off into space only to realize your shuttle ran out of fuel, than you will plummet 200 feet straight down in an attempt to develop back to Earth. In a venture to Earth your weight can’t be over three-hundred pounds. Your shuttle will be exposed to swerving, looping, and twisting as it goes through Earth’s atmosphere. You will first start by climbing 50 feet of stairs to arrive at the elevated station. As you enter you will be astonished with all of the past space missions such as Apollo
I am interested in researching animal behavior, animal science in general, ecology, and evolution. I believe all of these topics mesh together well. Combined they provide us with many answers about natural life and how our actions and the wildlife's own actions all relate. This area of research is important to me because of the idea of the cosmic year. In the duration of the cosmic year, humans have only inhabited the earth for the last minute of the last day of the year. On an even smaller scale, modern civilization has only inhabited Earth for the last 14 seconds of the cosmic calendar. With those 14 seconds, humans are held responsible for 95% of climate changes leading to the deterioration of many species both plants and animals of the past.
Scientists have shown that the Earth stops energetic neutrinos, according to data collected from the IceCube array in Antarctica. High-energy neutrino interactions monitored by the IceCube detector, an array of 5,160 basketball-sized optical sensors buried a mile deep in a cubic kilometer of exceptionally-clear ice near the south pole.
