As stated above any terror attack has a conventional force of motives and interest that put pressure towards committing such violent and inhuman acts; therefore, more strategies should be put in place to minimize and certainly do away with terrorism.
Financing of this terror groups is the largest challenge that is facing the war against terrorism. Other than just blacklisting countries that sponsor terrorism, the United States should completely ban these countries and cut down any relation or connections that it may be having with these countries. This will help in regulation of who comes in and out of the US borders, and it will also restrict individuals who come in as a tourist and end up posing terror threats to civilians. The other countermeasure

With this countermeasure they will be in a position to execute the four set strategic elements which include; prevention, protection, pursue and response efficiently. Terrorism has been deemed to have different meaning but for instance, terrorism can be defined as the illegal use of force or even violence against a state, or even against persons or property. It is aimed towards intimidating the interim government in power, the civilian population or even a group of people to achieve political gains, religious or any other ideological changes. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is considered the most prominent federal law enforcement group in the United States of that is charged with the ultimate responsibility regarding counterterrorism analyses. A joint terrorism task force was formed of the FBI among other FBI agencies as well as other local enforcement task forces with an aim of taking action against terrorism. The joint terrorism task force is composed of a diverse group of law enforcement agencies within the United States since terrorism is a national disaster that requires joint efforts of all law enforcement agencies available but on the other hand, it is run and managed by the Federal Bureau of
Terrorism is an ever changing threat that can not be completely stopped and in order for all forms to
to inflict radical ideologies upon U.S. citizens. These people need to be held accountable for their actions. If they join a terrorist organization, then how is one to say they will not kill Americans? They definitely have the capability being U.S. citizens. They should not be allowed back in the United States without consequences or even at all. “A congressional study released Tuesday said the Obama administration has largely failed to stop more than 250 Americans who have traveled overseas since 2011 to join -- or try to join -- terror groups including the Islamic State, describing the flow of fighters as the largest global convergence of jihadists in history” (Foxnews.com, 2015). There seems to be no national strategy to prevent these acts from
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the United States of America domestic security and intelligence which also serves as the federal government’s law enforcement agency. land but on our U.S. military overseas as well; although the terrorist attack on September 11, 2011 was the most significant event ever in history of terrorism (Clarke). According to Against All Enemies written by Richard A. Clarke, a primary and reliable source, before the major event had occurred, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and FBI were heavily involved in fighting foreign attacks operated by Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden in which they did not know at the time were the culprits for all the terrorist violence (Clarke). The main reason why this extraordinary attack happened was because of miscommunication between CIA and FBI; the CIA knew beforehand that Al Qaeda was involved way before, but decided not to inform anyone, not even the FBI (Clarke). If the FBI learned of this earlier, the agency could have prevented the attack by targeting the mastermind of Al Qaeda Osama Bin Laden early on. Because of 9/11, the FBI pursues changes strategically, informatively, and financially. They sought advice from the National Commission of Terrorist Attacks Upon The United States (Commission), and the Commission gave several valuable recommendations to how the FBI should change their approaches to terrorism (FBI Responds…). The agency took in suggestions and applied them to today; members will specialize in one of the four program areas – Intelligence, Counterterrorism/Counterintelligence, Cyber, or Criminal; recruiting, hiring, and retaining of Intelligence Analysts, including having experience and expertise, foreign language, and technology; formation of team to handle national security intelligence operations; and emphasis on detailed reporting from FBI to Congress (FBI Responds…). All of these changes will greatly affect the way FBI combats terrorism. Compared to the past, FBI now does more than just preventing violations of laws, but protects the U.S. through internal improvement and focuses on many factors that
The Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTFs) are responsible for defending our nation from terrorism. Its purpose is to broadly coordinate planning and responses to terrorist incidents. The first one was established in New York City in 1980. It is a multi-agency effort led by the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), designed to combine the resources of Federal, state, and local law enforcement. According to the article they are, “Small cells of highly trained, locally based, passionately committed investigators, analysts, linguist, SWAT experts, and other specialist from dozens of U.S. law enforcement intelligence agencies.” They have many different responsibilities such as chasing down leads, gathering evidence,
The United States experienced one of the biggest scaled Domestic Terror Attacks on eleventh September 2001. These assaults against our incredible country were done with the capturing of numerous aircraft transporters. The repercussions of these appalling demonstrations left the aggregate decimation of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and other relevant areas. After these occasions the USA Patriot Act of 2001 was passed, and the Department of Homeland Security started to devise and execute the first of numerous missions and conventions to alleviate any further dangers to the United States. Since the sanction of the Patriot Act, there have been various indications of fear based oppressor plots and thwarted assaults against the United States

Curbing the supply of funds to these organizations has been a major part of past efforts to counter international terrorism. The effectiveness of existing legislations and treaties and need for and nature of further measures are issues that need to be discussed.
Since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the United States (US) government has focused on terrorism as the biggest threat to stability and national security in the homeland. There have been controversial laws enacted which tested an individual’s Constitutional rights versus the security of the country as a whole, military engagements in foreign countries designed to stop terrorism overseas before reaching the homeland, and a number of law enforcement and government initiatives implemented to identify and investigate terrorists before they commit acts of terrorism or pursue material support activities in support of terrorism. Federal law enforcement agencies have been criticized recently for failing to predict when homegrown violent extremists
The Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. is mandated to deal with terrorism problem that has a long history in the U.S. Terrorism has been a threat to U.S. security since the 1800. Terrorists continue to use powerful secret communication strategies and unexpected tools to achieve their intention in the U.S. soil. For example, the 9/11 terrorism attack that killed the highest number of American citizens in history succeeded because terrorist used hijacked passenger planes to perform the attack (Lutz and Lutz, 2013). Although the most notorious terrorism activity in the U.S. soil was performed by Islamic extremist, several other groups among them black militancy, anti-liberal, anti-government, Jewish extremist, fascist extremists, and Palestinian militancy among others have been reportedly caused a terrorist activity in the U.S. in the past and their continued existence still remain a major threat to the U.S. security (Lutz and Lutz, 2013). The counter-terrorism policy administered through the Bureau of Counterterrorism aims at partnering with local security agents, multilateral organizations, non-state actors and foreign governments to defeat local and global terrorism. The policy employs high level of coordinated strategies in securing international partnership to document and monitor and act appropriately to Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) as emerging organizations that coordinate international terrorist
On September 11, 2001 terrorism became a reality! There is no way for the United States to prevent future attacks on Americans without working as a coalition force with the other nations to identify, track, and eliminate terrorist networks around the world. One of the main problems with fighting a war on terrorism is that the nations of the world have become accustomed to working alone as individuals vice working together. The United States will need to change its approach in order to conquer the worldwide threat of terrorism. The way to defeat terrorism at home and around the world is to form an international counter-terrorist task force.
Terrorism has become a serious issue since the 9/11 attacks. Local, state, and federal law enforcement has been working with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Counterterrorism efforts are in full effect and have priority. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has the responsibility of trying to predict and prevent terrorism attacks. For the FBI to be able to do this they collect, analyze, and share information with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
As a direct consequence of September 11, a number of substantial challenges lie ahead in the area of counter-terrorism.. The most prominent of these is the changing nature of the terrorism phenomenon. In past years, when terrorism was largely the product of direct state sponsorship, policymakers were able to diminish prospects for the United States becoming a target using a combination of diplomatic and military instruments to deter potential state sponsors. Today, however, many terrorist organizations and individuals act independently from former and present state sponsors, shifting to other sources of support, including the development of transnational networks.
Maritime cyberterrorism is the theft or infiltration by terrorists of important information that is used in maritime operations (Belmont, 2016). In the maritime environment there are many systems that are vulnerable from maritime cyberterrorism. These systems include, but are not limited to, security systems, computers, navigation systems, and communication systems among others (Belmont, 2016).
Terrorism, which has been around for as long as people can remember, has been on the rise for the past ten years. Terrorists usually use murdering, kidnapping, hi-jacking and bombings to achieve their political purpose. For instance, according to Wikipedia.com (2006), in 1985 816 deaths, then in 2003, more than 1,000 people died by terorist acts around the world. In recent years, terrorism seems to be at a new height and attacks are much more violent than in the past. Unfortunately, in spite of many anti-terror campaigns, projects and organizations are being created for prevention (to prevent) terrorism, the number of terrorists only is increasing. These days terrorism is all over the world.
