Creative Writing: Callahan's Death

Getting on our plane was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to, especially since my dad couldn’t come with us that day. December 8, 2010 was the day my family decided that moving to America would give me and my brother many more opportunities, keep in mind my parents hadn’t told us that we were moving to the US. I remember I had been hugging my dad saying goodbye to him and my mom had to come and grab me away from him. All i could hear was the faint yelp of a gravely injured man. As i looked around, i found the source of the adamant yelling.

November 24th, 1971, a man by the name Dan Cooper sat in seat 15D on flight 305 from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington. Once the plane reached 30,000 feet, Dan Cooper gave one stewardess a note. His handwritten note said that there was a bomb in his briefcase and he would blow up the aircraft if they didn’t meet his demands. His note demanded for four parachutes and 200,000 dollars in 20 dollar bills. His resources were given to him after landing at Seattle Airport and the plane headed towards Reno, Nevada with Dan, one stewardess, the pilot, and two other crew members. On the way to Reno, the crewmembers left on the plane were told to lock themselves in the cockpit. That was the last time the man by the name Dan Cooper was ever seen.
