As the sun quickly rose over the visible horizon of the dark blue, brisk waters of the Atlantic Ocean in Palm Beach, Florida, John knew he was late as he threw his rod and tackle box onto his fishing boat. The boat had a navy blue hull with white and brown accents that emphasized the boat and on the side was painted “Sharon” in memory of his wife who had died the year before. He untied the cleats attaching his boat to the pier, started up the engine and as the exhaust filled the air, he set off. Every week John looked forward to this, he looked forward to fishing on the weekend. Fishing was the only thing John had left. As he drifted along the smooth water toward his favorite fishing spot, John thought about his wife who, his wife was all …show more content…
Where am I? What is this?” John stood up only to quickly fall back down with a sharp pain in his leg.
“AH!” screamed John in agony. He looked down at his leg to find it bent in the wrong direction.
“HELP! Somebody please help!” John screamed, but there was no response. John looked out to the ocean and could not see anything out there, nothing but the ocean.
John knew he would not be going anywhere for a while so he gathered up materials and wood from what appeared to be left of his boat. He gathered wood and reached into his pocket and grabbed his trusty Zippo lighter he always carried with him. After a few failed attempts, he finally got a fire going. As the sun began to set over the horizon, the reality of the situation began to set into John’s mind. He knew he was in trouble and he knew he needed to find help quickly. As the night grew darker and the fire died down a noise came from behind John. He pays no attention to it at first, then he hears it again.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” John looks around and sees nothing so he turns back to the fire… WHACK. Everything goes dark. Everything goes

He was not surprised when it did not budge. He tried again with the little energy he had and still nothing. Hours went by and John began to lose hope until he heard something in the distance. He saw three muscular men approaching with dismantled animal carcass. As he backed himself into the corner, the men approached. “You hungry?” Asked one of the men while holding the carcass still dripping with blood. “I’m gonna have to pass on that one.” John began gagging at the sight of the dead animal that appeared to be a wild pig. “Here drink.” demanded the man holding out a wooden cup filled with water. John took the cup and immediately gulped it down. The man handed him another cup and John gulped it down as quickly as the first. The other two men began skinning and preparing the pig to eat. Despite locking him in a cage, the men’s hospitality comforted John. “Who are you guys?” John curiously asked.
“We should be asking you the same thing.” Replied one of the three men in a witty tone. “Well my name is John Harper, I am 42 years old, and I come from Palm Beach

John leaves the hospital, and catches a cab to 221.B. When he hears the sounds of muffled groaning coming from behind the door. "Sherlock?" John calls.
The birds chirping as they wake. Trying to keep quiet so no wildlife sees him. All of a sudden he hears the leaves crumple, something is running in a full sprint towards him. He clutched his rifle ready to defend himself, all then a deer the size of two of him runs out into the field. He hasn't eaten meat in almost two months, He had to land a perfect shot. He makes a noise to stop the deer, then levels his rifle, takes a deep breath in squeezes the trigger and lets the bullet fly. He lands a perfect shot dropping the deer immediately. As he was raging the deer back to his cabin, he thought to himself “this can last me the whole year”. As he put a part of the meat on the fire he remembered he needs to get water from the pond. He picks up his bucket and starts to walk to the pond. As he gets there it is starting to turn dark and he realizes he needs to hurry. He puts the water in his bucket and makes his way back. As he is about halfway to his house He smells something. “ Is that smoke?.” he says questioning himself. He picks up the pace of his walk and turns it into a sprint when he arrives the cabin is in flames. He clutches the bucket and starts trying to put it out. After about two hours of running from pond to cabin he finally put it
He pressed his back to the wall so the entrance of the alley was right beside him. He faced forward so he would not look the person in the face. He dropped the bag of coins to the ground and kicked it into the dark alley. After a few short moments he heard the sound of coins clinking.
They had to make camp that night without the benefit of a creek or river nearby. Charity was glad they had filled the water barrels before leaving Marilee's; at least she had water for the stock and for them to drink. By the time she stopped to set up camp, the children were bone-tired and so was she; she was glad she didn't have to cook. Marilee had fried several chickens and packed them some beans and biscuits to go with it. They filled their bellies and were asleep, before it was good and dark out.
A wild native American tribe was lurking around the corner and stared at them with a sign of death. Quickly John and Sam got up and used the last bit of energy they had to sprint the other direction, but it wasn’t enough, the tribe was too fast and caught them. The tribe took them hostage and brought them to their village at the base of the volcano. They were tied up to a tree and were treated like rag dolls. The two pilots looked around, realized that the tribe was preparing a meal. “I wonder what they are preparing?” said Sam. “ I think I know,” said John, “They are preparing us!” Is this how it
“There was a ship. Out there. You said you’d keep the fire going and you let it out!” He took a step toward Jack, who turned and faced him.
As Sam opened his eyes, he was taken aback. Cobwebs draped down from the ceiling to the ground. There was no lighting; the only trace of light was from the dusty window. The smell was what really surprised him. It smelled so good in here! He expected a place like this to be smelly, but instead it smelled like lavender and honey. He spied a plate that had some rice and vegetables, and a small bowl of curry. A cup of tea finished of the dazzling array of food. “Finally you’ve woken up,” a chiming voice startled Sam’s inspection. To his surprise, he saw a monkey. He was carrying a banana leaf with a container of something green. “You sure where lucky. Surviving a moose in rage is quite uncommon. You’re pretty uncommon yourself, with a birthmark on your forehead shaped like a star and a really quick reviving body. My name’s Looloo, and I’m the one who carried you home. You
The hunter killed a deer and Sam saw the deer lying on the ground. Sam decided to take the deer before the hunter could. He got it. He used everything of the deer. The boned the skin and more, but most importantly, he had a lot of food.
