Practice Ms. Okoro has displayed her ability to identify, analyze issues and proactively solve problems by active involvement by either effectively contributing as a member or a leader in many initiatives with a departmental and/ or hospital-wide impact. This has been evidenced by the following:

1) Implementation of Strategy to reduce Medication Refill Only Related visit to the Crises Clinic: Ms. Okoro took the lead in identifying the number of visit that are related to none crises concerns in our crises clinic; She identified and collected data that indicated that at least 33% of patients visit is related to medication refills. This information was utilized in to develop a work group that Ms. Okoro was part of the team that worked to revamp the general mental health walk in clinic and how to appropriately staff the access clinic with a goal …show more content…

2) Co-Lead in Developing the RVU(Relative Value Unit) Education For MHCL and the CBOCs:
RVUs reflect the relative level of time, skill, training and intensity required of a physician/provider to provide a given service. RVUs therefore are a method for calculating the volume of work or effort expended by a physician/provider in treating patients.

A) Ms. Okoro was a co lead in developing a comprehensive presentation that educated all the clinicians MDs, NPs, PAs, and Psychologist on how to code for difference procedure. The outcome was to capture productivity, determine clinics that were underutilized which opened up allot of available follow up appointments, The impact was reduced wait times for follow up visit and decreasing over books, which ensured that veterans in the program were seen when they needed to be seen and not scheduled so far
