These people groups have brought their language, food, values, and customs with them.
There are lots of different types of families in today’s American society. Mine is a little bit weird. My parents got divorced when I was about 5 years old. My Dad re-married when I was about 8 and then got divorced again. My mom remarried when I was around 11 years old. My dad re-married again around the same time. It seems like in today’s society that more and more families are becoming split households. That is the culture difference between the USA and other countries. In the earlier years of the United States, many people looked down on divorce. Divorce was like a curse word to them back then.

We have Spanish, French, German, Scot/Irish, and African. We have been called the melting pot of the world by the history books. With all of those different cultures, there coms their heritage and cuisine. All over the United States there are different family owned restaurants. They all have a different styles of cooking. Those styles spread all over the nation and into other households. My family does a lot of Italian cooking and Irish cooking because that is where our decedents are from. My dad is a very god cook and makes a lot of fancy dishes. My mom makes a lot of pasta because her mom taught her all about it. America is very diverse when it comes to food and that is good because there is always something new to
Have you ever wondered how High Schools are in other countries? Despite sharing some minor similarities, the differences between Nicaraguan and American High School education are clear. Such as, note-taking methods, grading system, classroom environment.
Because my neighbor is considered suburban it often gets a bad rep. A lot of people think that suburbs are boring and aren't interesting. As this suggests, the problem is also cultural. For the most part, American culture and opinion are still created, even in the Internet age, in cities at either edge of the continent. If intellectuals do deign to look at the suburbs they assume that so much banality must be hiding something deeply
Cultures are extremely important, and everyone is part of one. You often hear this word at home, in the news, or at school. Culture is something that defines you. Furthermore, culture is something that can describe you. It is what makes you similar to some people, and what can make you drastically different from others.
Culture is a set of ideals and values about life that are widely shared among people and that guide specific behaviors. Differences, as well as similarities, can be seen when comparing world cultures. We communicate with each other, we feed ourselves with food, and when we sleep we often dream. However, we speak different languages, eat different types of foods, and dream different ways. We call these cultural differences. What causes them is not always obvious to the ordinary person (Nancy). I feel culture is what really sets us apart from each other and what makes us unique as individuals and families.

Culture is very important to many individuals in this world. It plays key parts in a vast amount of people’s lives. While some may follow everything to do with their culture, your culture doesn’t have to affect your life. You can still choose to have your own personal views, or to follow your accustomed culture. People will all view everything differently depending on who they are, what cultural background they have, and what scenario they’re in.
Over the past 100 years, the United States has changed the way it views other cultures including more respect, equality, and freedom for all people. As much as America has grown, has America really changed that drastically? Across the nation and world, cultural differences still exist, misunderstandings continue, and fighting persists. Recent attacks within the United States that are similar to the conflicts between the Japanese and Americans in the early 1900’s include the 9/11 attack, the bombing at the Boston Marathon, and the mass shooting in Orlando.
Wendell Pierce said,”Culture is the interception of people and life itself.” Everyone has different views on the world. Culture consistently informs the way one views the world and others around them because tradition, family, and beliefs.
Popular culture arose in the 1950s, as many Americans were troubled by the foreign ideology of communism. Citizens felt safe by advocating for their opinions on political issues and in their social behavior. Young people in rebellious styles of dress, music, drug use, and communal living expressed counterculture. Rock music identified their protests and festivals were common events to attend. But, as a result of experimenting with such powerful drugs, Americans destroyed their lives, and the counterculture eventually died out by the 1970s.
Based on my experience in Eastern Europe and in North America, I fully embrace both Serbian and the different cultures that are in Canada. In the summer, I try to go to as many Serbian events as possible and at these events, there is traditional music, food and dancing which I enjoy so much. Unfortunately, I have not gone to many events of different cultures but I do like to educate myself about different customs and traditions in order to build on my awareness and knowledge of different types of cultures. I am Christian Orthodox in which I celebrate Christmas on January 7th and I always enjoy going to the church services for this Christmas celebration. Also, I fast where I do not eat dairy or meat products for a few weeks before Easter and

I was six year old when I was uprooted from my village in Punjab, India. I was anxious to see the promised land, as my parents had referred to it. My father left for America before I was born so he could obtain a labor job to save up money for when my mother, brother, and I would arrive. I never expected my beliefs and perspectives to change upon arrival. Growing up in a very uniform culture I had a black and white view of the world. In our culture women were responsible for being caretakers. Their job was simply to raise the children, cook, and be domesticated. The men had the role of the breadwinner and they were the ones encouraged to get an education.

The concept of culture is something that defines many aspects of one’s life. From physical objects to different ways of thinking, culture adds significance to human life and makes groups of people distinct from one another. Culture is essentially a group of people who come together with similar interests and points of view. According to the Center for Advanced Language Acquisition of the University of Minnesota, “culture is defined as the shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs, and affective understanding that are learned through a process of socialization.” From a more sociological perspective, culture is a way in which people come together in order to fulfill their needs. These shared patterns and ideas identify the members of a culture group while also distinguishing those of another group.” Culture is one of the things that sets the United States apart from the rest of the world. Not that the rest of the world is not cultural, but the circumstance here is different. Many people of different cultural backroads come to this country in search of a better life. As a consequence, the United States has become a place where many cultures merge together like a colossal pot soup.
