The gesture was conceived by the co-captains of the girl’s tennis team. Liva Pierce and Anaise Manikunda started an online fundraiser to earn the money to pay for the head coverings. Collecting over $800, the girls decided to solicit private funds rather than engender criticism for using taxpayer dollars to purchase religious garb. This action marks the first time a public school has issued the Islamic garment to athletes, says Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic relations. As a result of student efforts, 25 hijabs were

To approach finding a solution to the problem in Belmont High School, an evaluation took place through standard crime analysis by reviewing all service calls and reported crimes made to and around the school, analysing it in a geographical perspective. An intuitive analysis was also conducted with the patrol officers collecting further background information to the core of the problem and key incidents. Due to the unsustainability to operate through traditional methods of policing, stakeholders had to evaluate possible methods that did not affect diminished resources that the school possessed. With this, Belmont High School’s primary project goal was to ultimately reduce crime and disorder in and around the school. This developed a hypothesis

A Hijab, is a Islamic religious and cultural symbol, that is increasingly becoming visible in the Western world giving rise to a debate over its use with dominant Western culture and values. The author Fatemeh Fakhraie, cites some cases in which the hijab are not allowed in public institutions like schools and government buildings. Although western civilization has rules or things that people follow and go by, Islam has also developed rules and ways of living people follow so that they can live their lives to the best of their ability as a noble one as well. The Qur'an provides guidance for Muslims on how to live their lives and how to dress which creates different views of being a Muslim. The Qur'an states that Muslim men and women should dress and behave modestly. This freedom and heritage would be taken the moment hijabs are banned. It would be a change in history. For this reason, many hate the western world and their ways but some love the western world and wish to live here and that's where dreams come into play. Many people dream to be here in the United States but a lot of times their problem ends up dealing with a lack of opportunity. Lack of opportunity before and once you get to the United States results in lower income. To some it’s a blessing to have some type of income, and for others it’s easier to see the lack of income which makes them want to push

The security issue here is the student’s easy access to leave school grounds and the possibility a stranger hanging out in the parking lot either taking the child or using the keycard to enter the building. Many visitors still come to the back parking lot even after that has been much discussion about only school building
