Insecurity is something most people have witnessed at some point in their lives. Insecurity is the act of feeling inferior to everyone else, or frankly unconfident of oneself. A variety of people around me are able to mettle with this issue, but a small percentage aren’t. When it comes to insecurity, I am practically the queen because I just can’t seem to accept myself for who I am or have become since childhood. I have an absolute hatred towards for myself, and whenever the opportunity is present, I find something to criticize my myself for. The act is almost identical to being the most judgmental person in the world, with the exception that you are aiming the insults at yourself instead of others. I always have to insult myself and can never accept the actions I have made. There is always something wrong, something I could have done better or a detail I misplaced when doing something of great importance. I feel myself lacking some sort of greater potential that will lead me to perfection. The ironic part? I know that perfection is an impossible feat but I was raised so strictly on the idea of reaching perfection that avoiding the achievement is not an option. Thus, this is my greatest flaw and I am recognized through society as the person who can not stay positive or accept myself for

I was always insecure about something my whole life. I was scared to talk to “cool kids” because I would stumble on my words or say something dumb. I would avoid going to social events because I wasn’t good at talking with people and was afraid that I would set a bad impression when meeting new people because I never knew what to say. Sometimes I was even insecure about my appearance. Was I wearing something ugly? Is there something in my teeth? Is my hair a mess? By being afraid of what others thought of me and not being fully confident in myself, I was showing insecurity. Being insecure can be a bad thing but it could also be a good thing as it teaches you to be happy with what you look like and who you

To many people, a lie has little significance. Some people tell lies as a way to cover something up, make a different name for themselves, or just to make excuses. No matter what the situation, my father has constantly reminded me that the truth will set you free, and as I get older even though I am still in my youth, the more I realize the truth and importance of that statement. To me a lie is a form of disloyalty, the less you respect the person the more you lie to them as a way to cover up your true identity. A lie is when you mislead what is really the truth; where you don’t tell the full truth in order to deceive someone, or you avoid being honest at all. There are several different outcomes to
The word “ integrity” seems to float around me, its very existence locked in my mind. The word integrity will never be forgotten, never be lost, but the meaning behind the word integrity has yet to be discovered. Oprah Winfrey once said “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's going to know whether you did it or not. ” Integrity is something I believe in and value greatly. To me integrity is doing the right thing even when no one else is watching. Most people always look for an easy choice, but it's not about the easy choice it's about the right choice.
The word integrity means a lot and is a positive trait. To have integrity means you have a quality of being honest. Integrity is something really important in life. And people will look up to you if you have integrity.
Oppression occurs from the systemic existence of unearned entitlement and advantage for certain groups of people in societies (RWL 408). This notion contradicts what many are taught to believe: that power and disadvantage are awarded based on individual merit. It perpetuates the myth of meritocracy, that people deserve what they get—that those in power earned it fairly instead of based on their societal positions (RWL 407). As our readings point out, both white people and heterosexual people are systemically conferred privilege, though they work to remain ignorant of their power and maintain the myth of meritocracy (RWL 409-410). At the same time, oppression has become a diluted word, normally standing in for any form of “human limitation
