What if we all sat around and procrastinated and never worked hard?
What if we were all unenergetic?
We would never get anything done, and all our work would be very sloppy.
What does success mean to you?
Success has a different meaning for each person. According to Oxford dictionary success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My definition for success is to get to your goal and having the feeling of pride because of all the hard work you put into.
In order to become successful you must put hard work .The hard work is all the effort we are putting in so we can achieve our goal. I started with doing lessons just to know how to save myself from drowning. The swim lessons turned into recreational league swim team. Those were the best days because I used to swim with my friends and the meets were not as stressful. This prepared me for high school swim team. The week before try outs I was super jumpy and anxious but I believed that all the hard work I put into swimming, I would make the team. The week of tryouts I was very nervous, but I tried to be as calm as I could be to give my best performance. I thought that I have worked very hard at tryouts and did amazing job. Monday morning I went into my coaches classroom to find out whether I made the team or not and I was disappointed to find out that I had not been chosen to be part of the team. To comfort me my mom told me “it’s only freshman year so you have three more years to make the team”. Then I decided once again to focus on my goals and put the ingredient of hard work and dedication, so I joined an out of school swim team called Tide. This team had stroke academy clinics which helps swimmers improve their strokes. My swim coach there was wonderful and helped me reach my goals. I would only go to practice once or twice a week and also have to manage homework and after school activities. After three months of hard work I passed the evaluations and made it to the high school group of Tide. I had to continue to work hard as the team met every day after school to practice for two hours. As of right now I am amidst try out for my sophomore year. With all the hard work and time I put into swimming I hope I make the team this
