What if we all sat around and procrastinated and never worked hard?
What if we were all unenergetic?
We would never get anything done, and all our work would be very sloppy.
What does success mean to you?
Success has a different meaning for each person. According to Oxford dictionary success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My definition for success is to get to your goal and having the feeling of pride because of all the hard work you put into.
In order to become successful you must put hard work .The hard work is all the effort we are putting in so we can achieve our goal. We all want to achieve our goal because that gives us the feeling of success. Hard works may take long days, practice, sleepless nights, and a lot of dedication

I started with doing lessons just to know how to save myself from drowning. The swim lessons turned into recreational league swim team. Those were the best days because I used to swim with my friends and the meets were not as stressful. This prepared me for high school swim team. The week before try outs I was super jumpy and anxious but I believed that all the hard work I put into swimming, I would make the team. The week of tryouts I was very nervous, but I tried to be as calm as I could be to give my best performance. I thought that I have worked very hard at tryouts and did amazing job. Monday morning I went into my coaches classroom to find out whether I made the team or not and I was disappointed to find out that I had not been chosen to be part of the team. To comfort me my mom told me “it’s only freshman year so you have three more years to make the team”. Then I decided once again to focus on my goals and put the ingredient of hard work and dedication, so I joined an out of school swim team called Tide. This team had stroke academy clinics which helps swimmers improve their strokes. My swim coach there was wonderful and helped me reach my goals. I would only go to practice once or twice a week and also have to manage homework and after school activities. After three months of hard work I passed the evaluations and made it to the high school group of Tide. I had to continue to work hard as the team met every day after school to practice for two hours. As of right now I am amidst try out for my sophomore year. With all the hard work and time I put into swimming I hope I make the team this
To me success is accomplishing the goals, doing things the right way, and doing what you love.
The definition of success is in the eye of the beholder. More than three-fourths of your life is spent working to become successful. People are told during childhood to work as hard as they can so they can grow up and make lots of money. But the word success can be taken in many different ways. Everyone has a different understanding of what success means to them. Generally, success means fulfilling the goals that you set for yourself. For some, success is measured by popularity and riches; for others success is determined by the amount of happiness that they feel.
Success, as described by Winston Churchill, is “…going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” This has taken on greater meaning in our modern day, as the path to success has seemingly become more complex. Is the American dream still valid? I would say yes, considering that we are currently in a recession. The term “American Dream” is used in a number of ways, but really the American Dream is an idea that suggests that all people can succeed through hard work, and that all people have the potential to live happy, successful lives. Many people have expanded or refined the definition of the American Dream. This concept has also been subject to a
“Success” is a term that is a part of our daily life. It can be defined in a variety of ways, such as achievements, awards, and college degrees. Some will even deem success as having a family, having a well-paying job, or even feel that living an uncomplicated life of contentment. But in the world that we live in today, there is not a set definition of success to go by. Only you as a person can give the meaning of success.
Merriam-Webster defines success as the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame; the correct or desired result of an attempt; someone or something that is successful; a person or thing that succeeds. The definition of success differs from one person to another. Most people work their whole lives to accomplish their own personal success, in which, everyone views differently. Success among many individuals can be connected with The American Dream, the idea that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through work, determination, and initiative.
What is the definition of success? Webster’s dictionary defines success as “satisfactory completion of something.” But my definition of success is having a gratifying sense of achievement by accomplishing goals or targets you are trying to reach or attain. Although there might be multiple interpretations of what success means, I think using time effectively, creating and achieving goals, and processing information into your memory is a vital part of being successful.
What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Success to me can mean many things. Although I am successful in school, that does not necessarily mean I will lead a successful life.
Wealth, fame, and respect are synonyms used for success, however; such meanings feel incomplete. I on the other hand, believe that success is having the energy to remain focused on small goals and having them amount to something greater. Both of my parents immigrated to America with a third grade education, yet their diligence towards setting daily goals of different caliber has turned them into successful people. Seeing their struggle and perseverance first hand has influenced me to set goals for myself and carve a path of my own.
Success is in the eye of the beholder. The definition of success has many meanings. It could mean how high a person reaches in their career, how well they do in school, how fit they are, how smart they are, how beautiful or handsome they are and even how much money they make.
My parents always said, “if you work hard, then you can become anything.” I also believe that statement. If you want to be a professional football player, then you work hard in the weight room, practice, school, etc. If you want to be a college professor, then you work hard in college, you read a lot of books, you pass all your classes, etc. The point is that working hard will bring your goals closer to you and easier to obtain. For me, I want to work with organizations like NASA and SpaceX when I am older. That is my definition of success. I have to work hard to achieve long-term and rigorous goals like working with those types of organizations. In order to obtain my success, I must get good grades, stay in school, read a lot, attend meetings, work hard,
How does one achieve success? Is it all out of hard work and determination, or just sheer luck? To answer that question, all kinds of scenarios must be taken into consideration. What one person sees as success could be seen as insignificant to someone else. Everyone has a different definition of success because everyone has different goals in life. These goals can range from something as simple as being able to cook for yourself to being filthy rich, and the difficulty of reaching them vary depending on where you live and how you were raised.
Socially, I define success by asking your teacher for help when you need it, participating, and being active in discussions to be successful. Also, when I am playing soccer with my teammates, working together, and striving for our common goal we can achieve success. Academically, if I stay organized, put schoolwork first, and study hard, I can easily achieve success. Personally, if I take my responsibilities more seriously, I can be successful.
What is success? Success is achieving your goals in life. It means you know that you made it. To keep going and never stop trying. People who are a success never stop trying, even now they keep trying, athletes, business people, anyone. We all want to be a success. But if you just give up, you can never be one.
Success is being to be able to overcome adversity and achieve a goal that a person has
What is success to you? Success can be multiple things such as being happy, winning a championship game, making money, getting an A in your hardest class, or getting work into an art gallery. Goals like these all mean something. When I think of a person that has earned and is currently gaining success is my sister, Hannah. She set a goal, and every day she becomes closer to her own success. Everyone earns success at some point in their life, whether it's a difficult or simple task.
