In short, we had a lack of students attending the Preview Days because Crater and Butte Falls high schools backed out of the event. The team discussed that there were only about ten students that attended the event. Thank you AHO staff for helping out. Even with the small number of students it seemed that some were not interested in healthcare occupations. Although, the Dental Assisting program did draw individuals who were interested. A concern was how we capture data if students are interested in healthcare occupations. Another discussion was about the disposable supplies used during some of the program activities (Phlebotomy sticks) that cost. The group agreed on the fact that what happens when there is a large group of students at an event

At the age of thirteen, I decided that I wanted to become a dentist. I have since read countless dental textbooks explaining everything from anatomy to treatment of oral diseases. My junior year of high school, I entered the Dental Assistant program at the Clark County Skills Center. Through the program I gained the knowledge needed to become a dental assistant. The Skills Center further strengthened my decision to become a dentist by teaching me how the dental world truly functions. In December of 2105, at the age of 16, I became a Certified Dental Assistant and began working at Design Dentistry. Working at Design Dentistry with Dr. Wenzinger has inspired me to continue my education, and I plan to further my education to become a dentist.

Looking through different regions in California, one of them stands out on having a high pay rate is the Bay Area. And, going more in depth than that, the city that pays the most for Dental Assisting in the Bay Area is San Francisco. That being said the question is: “Why does San Francisco city pay more than other cities in the Bay Area?”
1) Core values that were used by the dental hygienist, Brittany, were beneficence when, Brittany, performed the oral exam on, Mrs. Claren. Brittany, also, used veracity when she sat, Mrs.Claren upright in the chair to discuss her of the findings and the treatment plan.
Dental Examiners is likely to have a significant impact on both antitrust law and on state governments. State boards covered under Dental Examiners may face antirust liability in the future, and there remains a lot of uncertainty about what boards are covered under Dental Examiners. First, we will need to walk through what impact Dental Examiners will have, and what legal requirements it sets out. Second, we will need to examine what Kansas Boards will likely be effected under Dental Examiners. Third, we need to review what approaches other states have taken to address Dental Examiners. Finally, we need to examine what possible approaches the State can take to address Dental Examiners.

Hi Sheikira Brissett, nice to meet you my fellow classmate. Jamaica is a beautiful place that I hope to visit one day. I worked in an allied health field several years ago as a dental assistant. I truly enjoyed my career and having the ability to help others. My wife was currently enrolled for a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration however, she changed to Criminal Justice. The career path that I am pursuing is a Masters of Business Administration which would be the main difference in our career paths. The differences in the academic interests are project management and accounting in comparison to healthcare management. The similarities would be the principles of leadership which must be employed. The information provided about LinkedIn was

Choosing dental practice management software (dpms) may not always be the sole choice of the dental hygienist, yet, it is utilized a great deal by the hygienist. With more than thirty dental practice management software companies to choose from, there is a benefit to developing your own criteria for acquiring the software that will best suit the needs of the practice. On February 13. 2018 in room 4340 representatives from Colgate had a lunch & learn for DH1 and DH2 student as well as the hygiene faculty. The lunch and learn was for one hour in which Annette Wolfe presented how she worked as a dental hygienist for 30 years in Florida and became apart of the educational department at Colgate. Ms. Annette also introduced other pathways to look into after graduating such as teaching, selling, representing, and advocating dental hygiene. She said, “after graduating and working for some time we always want to do more.” As she spoke I was interested in the teaching career. I always had a teacher inside me, and coming back and becoming a teacher by educating others about dental hygiene would be something I would
This reflection acts as my fourth reflection since I have started my internship at Comfort Dental under the Guidance of Dr. Trino Nuno. The semester is coming to an end, and I have enjoyed my time at Comfort Dental., I previously had a clinical and administrative internship at Smile Works Dentistry in Rockwall, Texas and I can now tell you that my experience at these two dental practices was incredibly different. At Smile Works, I quickly got used to the way the practice was run because it was not that complicated and I only had one doctor’s schedule to manage. However, at Comfort Dental I still struggle with managing day-to-day functions. The reason I struggle is that Comfort Dental has three doctors and a lot more staff. Also, the computer system that I mastered at Smile Works is not the same computer system that they use at Comfort Dental. I got the chance to use all to same skills in this internship. I answered phones, checked that patient’s insurance plans are eligible to be billed and scanned paper documents into a hard drive.
