Describe The Benefits Of Being An American

America, a place where you make your own life choice In America, unlike some countries, they have the right to make their own choices and with this choice they can follow their dreams. The definition of being an American generally means that one either lives or was born in the country. However, actually being an American goes far beyond that of the general definition. Someone can be considered an American because of the location they live or where they were born. Though that may be true, there are many other things that better define an American. The freedom of choice, the chance to create a better life, embracing and accepting different cultures, and the want to defend peace and freedom better explains what it means to be an American.

I believe that what it means to be an American is to struggle,not be accepted for you are,and to feel and be treated as someone less then other people. To be an American is to struggle with being undocumented and not being able to have a an actual document stating you went to school and have and education. “The federal dream act, which would have provided a path for undocumented children and would penalize states that failed to provide in-state tuition for undocumented students, failed to make it through congress in 2011. With all the controversy in what it means to be American at this point in history, coming to a consensus on the meaning of the term is crucial. The meaning of being an American can often be tied to one’s emotional connection to the United States of America. If this attachment is taken away from the definition of the word, the most authentic and traditional interpretation of what it means to be an American is revealed. To be an American means to be a citizen of the United States and to align yourself with the ideals of America.

To be an American can mean a lot of things to others, but one thing everyone has in common on what they think it means is to be free. It means you can vote for who and what you want. It means you can say “The Pledge of Allegiance.” It means you can have a good education and the job you want. It means to be proud in living in the United States of America. Being an American is having freedom and being able to do things with that freedom. It’s about having freedom of religion, rights, and justice. It also means having equality. To be an American means you have the right and freedom to do what you want. It means having the freedom of speech. It means you can be yourself. To be an American mainly means having freedom.

Fireworks cracking and lighting up the sky, hot dogs cooking on the grill, and a cold drink in a red, white, and blue paper cup. It is the forth of July, Independence day, the day Americans put all of their worries to the side to celebrate the freedom of the country that they live in, America. Those who live in the USA may experience more freedom and comfort then those who live in other parts of the world. America is highly praised for their education, diverse crowds, and socially accepting everyone despite their race, religion, or special needs.

Ask a hundred people and more than likely you will receive a hundred different answers. This is due to our overgrowing diverse country. Some people may give you an answer of a stereotypical American, for example Americans are materialistic, racist, and arrogant. Being an American means many things to me.

Being an American today should be looked upon an honor and a privilege. Being an American you can witness what 9/11 was all about and how it all came apart from there. It’s harder now to see how we are still standing and how we overcome all these problems that are out there. We are still recovering from all that was broken all around us.

Don't be afraid to change because change only leads to a new beginning. Is there really such thing as freedom, how would you react if you could go somewhere without being judged and you can be who you are? America is simply a place where there is freedom. It's your choice if you want to take the freedom or not. To be an American means to believe in yourself and that you want to believe in.

To me being an American means loving your country and appreciating the freedoms you have. We are lucky to live in a country where there are so many opportunities for all the citizens. Americans should be respectful to the flag, always flying it and handling in with care. We should show thanks and respect to veterans and the military people who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect our country. Even though we don’t always agree with the leaders of our country, we should be respectful when we disagree and find peaceful, appropriate ways to fight for change. Americans need to remember to respect our police who keep us safe. Following the laws of the country is the duty of every citizen.

To me being an American means getting to live my life freely. I get to grow up and go to school, I get to follow whatever religion I want to, I get to work in whatever job I want to, and I get to vote for who I think deserves to be the president of our country however I want to. Being an American means that we are all free to express our opinions on anything. So many people come to the United States of America so that they can be able to say that they are living the “American Dream.” The American Dream is defined as; the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.

“Bang! Bang!” Shots could be heard in the distance as a group of minutemen marched toward a whole army of red coats. The minutemen were nearing the red coats and soon would be upon them. Just over the ridge the red coats were waiting, ready to fight whoever would be sent their way. They didn’t, however, have the heart of the Americans they would be facing. Where does that heart come from? It comes from being an American, but what is an American? An American is someone who is brave, free to live in a land that is more amazing than any other, and is able to vote for the people who run that land.

America is a providing country and will support anyone who wants to have their freedoms. People that come or live in America for this reason and many more are called Americans. Unlike other countries, our government isn’t strict and you can do a lot of stuff that you can’t do in other countries. Also, most people in America are here to work and to meet their life goals. Americans like to work to meet life goals and in a lot of countries you don’t have the opportunities that America gives them.

Being American is more than having the right to proudly wave a red white and blue flag, more than relief to be apart of a fairly organized government, and it is certainly more than simply a tittle. To have a group of isolated tribespeople understand what it truly means to be American, they would have to understand the American Dream; a dream that was so unique to each individual, it required equal opportunity for all. Three things that represent what it means to be a unique dreamer in the pursuit of happiness are snails, Ford T car model, and fireworks.

St. Joachim school is a school I have grown up at. Making so many memories and inside jokes, I will definitely miss this place.. Introducing myself, I am joshua landeros. I have been stuck here… actually i have been attending this school for eleven years now, and being here has changed me in incomparable ways. St. Joachim school is a school i am so dearly gratified with. Being able to attend this school has let me learn many life qualities.

For most Americans, education is the key to social mobility. Thus, the ultimate goal of education it so ensure that American values, ideals, culture are passed on to a new generation while providing the skills and knowledge necessary to help America compete in a global economy. Educational tax incentives were introduce to help students pay for college and encourage families to save for education expenses.
