America’s gift to my generation Freedom of speech, choice, and religion was the gift soldiers died for. America doesn’t realize how much sorrow family go through to get of freedom, but Americans use it as hate. Hatred wasn’t meant as a gift, but it was used as one. In 1986 a shooting was taken place in Oklahoma City killing 14 people. Quoted Joseph Drake, ” And they who for our country died shall fill a honored grave, for the glory lights the soldiers tomb, and beauty weeps the brave,” that, freedom, was the gift that was meant to be given. Freedom was given as a hopeful offering, however it wasn’t used as affianced. Soldiers venture for a change to happen, however they comprehend there hope isn’t enough to stop the hate and reconstruct
America’s gift to my generation is not just a physical gift, but a mental gift. The physical gift is the safer place to live and grow. This mental gift that America gave to my generation is a deep feeling that you can go around and be who you are, dress in what you want, say what you want, and basically do what you want without being restricted to doing one thing each and every day. America’s gift to my generation is the ability to grow, learn, and live life the way you want to without a limit. If you look at America compared to other countries it’s like a whole family, and America is the one that all the other siblings go to for help or a safe place. America might not always be safe but we can always count on all our amazing, brave souls
America’s gift to my generation, what are the first things that come to mind, freedom? Ronald Regan once said,” We are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free.” We celebrate Veteran’s Day to celebrate those who made the biggest sacrifice for our freedom, America’s Gift, but freedom is not the only thing. America’s greatest Gifts to me are my freedom in general, freedom of Religion, and high advances in technology.
Would you want to know why I think America’s Gift to My Generation means to me?I have many reasons to why I think America’s Gift to My Generation. “Men and women fight for freedom, then they begin to accumulate laws to take it away from themselves”.~Author Unknown. This means that once the soldiers get their freedom, they take their own freedom away from the family to go in war to make America better. So all the people can have what they need to survive and never be on the streets to die.And they also can be free
Here in America, we are free to pursue our own happiness. We also have one of the strongest and largest economies in world history. We have liberty or freedom unheard of in the world. We have a justice system that works proficiently, though not flawless, and we even have a justice system that is very high ranking. We also the benefaction of education, most of it at public charge. Americans also have the right to aspire to any dream we may have. One of the most important gifts to our generation is the chance to provide to this society and make it more suitable for yourself, your family, and your fellow citizens. The examples I just gave are some of America’s gifts to our generation. We should really value America’s gifts to our generation. Without
I believe that America’s gift to my generation is freedom, technology, useful objects and utensils. I think that my generation has taken a lot for granted, we have many rights and have many things people didn’t have before but were made for future generations such as mine.
Patriotism is not short frenzied, outburst of emotion but tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime
What is America’s gift to my generation? Well, I have a million reasons why America is a gift to my generation. In the words of Charles F. Browne, ”We can't all be Washingtons, but we can all be patriots.” We may not all be patriots like Washington but we can carry on being patriotic in our world today. This is a gift we can give to our future generations. In this paper I would like to show you some reasons why America is a gift.
America’s gift to my generation is freedom to all, a good education for all, and hope. Hope is that thing that never leaves. Hope is that thing that is able to push you out of bed in the morning. All the kids that have no families and live on the street, they have hope to keep them going. Hope that they are blessed with spectacular education, a good meal to eat everyday, and a loving heart warming family. That’s what America can provide. The gift is not being like some other countries where you are having to be trained and enrolled into the military while you’re still little kids. In some other countries, you don’t even get to have the job you want, you are assigned a job that is chosen for you by the government. Not having to be like those
Do you really know what you have, and i am not talking about phones and stuff like that I am talking about what America gave to you. One day I was asked this question and I did not know what to say at first. I was thinking about that question but i didn’t know till now, but do you.
When I see a skyscraper in a city, it reminds me of America; it stands taller than other nations. Like a skyscraper, America was built up from scratch by people who saw potential in its future. Our founding fathers drew the blueprint of America, suggesting that our colonies could unite to form one monumental building. From that blueprint, our Constitution was created which I believe is America’s gift to my generation.
America’s greatest gift to my generation is the advanced knowledge of things in our country. We now know how to keep our country safe and strong even if there are conflicts going on all around us. Our increased knowledge from the past conflicts have shown and taught us what to do in sticky situations. Whether it is bad conflicts or just everyday safety precautions, the information helps us get through it. I think our country has greatly benefitted from all of the information we have gathered over the years from things that happened in other countries, and even in our very own country. America now has complete freedom because of the brave men who fought for us. They gave us knowledge of if we ever were in that situation again what to do, and
It has said that freedom was never given to people. Some people take freedom as granted and for that reason they think they can do whatever they want to do, but that is wrong because some people has pay the price for our freedom and this not talking to the soldiers, is to politicians, civilians, and even kids. People like Martin Luther King jr, Abraham Lincoln, and many more pay for that price. Then why should we still fight about something that was fought and “won”? Why still he have discrimination and racism?
The issue of hate speech reveals that the freedom offered by Liberalism is not absolute nor is it perfect. However, this essay still maintains that the freedoms offered by Liberalism significantly outweigh its failings, especially when compared with Fascism or Communism. First of all, this essay defines hate speech as “speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes like… religion,” (Nockleby, 2000, 1277-79). The issue of hate speech presents an interesting paradox; taking action against hate speech could be construed as an attack on freedom of speech, a liberal ideal. As a result, Liberalism is often stuck at a crossroads, take action and impinge upon freedom of speech or stay passive and betray the ideals of religious pluralism
“The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease” (William Osler). “Good” physicians treat the patient not just the disease. This topic is important to me because I think caring about the older generations like my grandparents and great grandparents. My generation has been given the opportunity to receive good health care where my grandparents did not have that opportunity. People need to take care of their health carefully. America’s Gift to my Generation is health care.
Living in the United States we enjoy many wonderful freedoms and liberties. Even though most of these freedoms seem innate to our lives, most have been earned though sacrifice and hard work. Out of all of our rights, freedom of speech is perhaps our most cherished, and one of the most controversial. Hate speech is one of the prices we all endure to ensure our speech stays free. But with hate speeches becoming increasingly common, many wonder if it is too great of a price to pay, or one that we should have to pay at all.
