“The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease” (William Osler). “Good” physicians treat the patient not just the disease. This topic is important to me because I think caring about the older generations like my grandparents and great grandparents. My generation has been given the opportunity to receive good health care where my grandparents did not have that opportunity. People need to take care of their health carefully. America’s Gift to my Generation is health care.
My generation has provided medical insurance through our parents until we are 26 years old. This is important because it can save my generation money through life because you will still be on your parent's medical insurance. It can provide medical care through college.Medical insurance can help take care of you if you get in an accident and I get any injuries. Medical insurance is a very good health for you in your life. It can also help you if you play any sports or other activities and you get hurt..`

America’s Gift to my generation is a great one. They have given my all the freedoms I could ask for.
Young adults make up a large percentage of these newly insured people. “The ACA's dependent coverage provision allows young adults to remain on their parents' insurance plans until they turn 26 years old” (Sommers & Kronick 2012). This creates a big impact on those who have many children. The ACA aims to prevent insurers from creating an increase in rates that are unaffordable and unreasonable. Insurance coverage gives people a wider range of coverage options. A pre-existing medical condition, such as cancer, made it very difficult for people to get health insurance before the ACA. Because most insurance companies would not cover treatment for these conditions, the ACA does not allow Americans to be denied insurance due to a pre-existing condition. Medications can also be a burden for those with low-income. The number of prescriptions and drugs covered by the ACA is continuing to grow each
It will be realized that the Obamacare which is also referred as Affordable Care Act happened to become a law in 2010. Notably, the act was basically aimed at offering health insurance coverage to citizens in American that was affordable (Kennedy 2013). Obama healthcare system was also designed in order to guard the consumers from most of the tactics by the insurance companies which may in the long run restrict care and increase the patient costs. Statistics extend to reveal that a large fraction of the Americans have greatly benefitted by obtaining significant insurance coverage as provided by the Affordable Care Act. Most of these individuals that have benefited were those having low-paying jobs as well as the unemployed. Some of these individuals were unable to work as a result of obligations from the families and due to disability while others failed to obtain superior health insurance following pre-existing medical conditions like chronic disorders (Japsen, 2014).
America’s gift to my generation is not just a physical gift, but a mental gift. The physical gift is the safer place to live and grow. This mental gift that America gave to my generation is a deep feeling that you can go around and be who you are, dress in what you want, say what you want, and basically do what you want without being restricted to doing one thing each and every day. America’s gift to my generation is the ability to grow, learn, and live life the way you want to without a limit. If you look at America compared to other countries it’s like a whole family, and America is the one that all the other siblings go to for help or a safe place. America might not always be safe but we can always count on all our amazing, brave souls
What is America’s gift to our generation? If you ask anyone in America this question, they must ponder about for a long time. Why? Because this question has a different meaning to each one of us. America’s gift may be freedom, or it may mean safety. Although, each of us may have a different answer to this question, we all owe our thanks to the same people and place: America and its veterans. Without our veterans, we would never have such as great place to live and survive in. Without America, we wouldn’t have the freedom, opportunity, and safety that we take for granted. The hardships of America’s past have brought forth a great abundance of these gifts. Our country became a great paradise, people have the key to having a great life. All
America’s gift to my generation, what are the first things that come to mind, freedom? Ronald Regan once said,” We are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free.” We celebrate Veteran’s Day to celebrate those who made the biggest sacrifice for our freedom, America’s Gift, but freedom is not the only thing. America’s greatest Gifts to me are my freedom in general, freedom of Religion, and high advances in technology.
Would you want to know why I think America’s Gift to My Generation means to me?I have many reasons to why I think America’s Gift to My Generation. “Men and women fight for freedom, then they begin to accumulate laws to take it away from themselves”.~Author Unknown. This means that once the soldiers get their freedom, they take their own freedom away from the family to go in war to make America better. So all the people can have what they need to survive and never be on the streets to die.And they also can be free
Here in America, we are free to pursue our own happiness. We also have one of the strongest and largest economies in world history. We have liberty or freedom unheard of in the world. We have a justice system that works proficiently, though not flawless, and we even have a justice system that is very high ranking. We also the benefaction of education, most of it at public charge. Americans also have the right to aspire to any dream we may have. One of the most important gifts to our generation is the chance to provide to this society and make it more suitable for yourself, your family, and your fellow citizens. The examples I just gave are some of America’s gifts to our generation. We should really value America’s gifts to our generation. Without
I believe that America’s gift to my generation is freedom, technology, useful objects and utensils. I think that my generation has taken a lot for granted, we have many rights and have many things people didn’t have before but were made for future generations such as mine.
What is America’s gift to my generation? Is it an electronic? Is it a new fidget spinner that lights up? Is it a new restaurant? No, not to me, America’s gift to my generation is the freedom of speech. It is to follow and worship different religions, say what you want to say, be who you want to be. That right cannot be taken from you because, it is the first Amendment and even back in 1791 congress knew that it was an important right. America’s gift is like a car, brand new, shiny gleaming, and takes you where you want to go.
Have you ever gotten sick or know of anyone who has but cannot afford the medicine? If so then you must ask yourself, “how am I going to get your hands on the medicine that I need?” With the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare), you would not have to worry about that. ObamaCare is an affordable health care plan to which all American citizens can get medically taken care of without spending a fortune, regardless of what is wrong with them. Obama-care is necessary to the American public. Reasons being for ObamaCare being necessary are that middle and lower class citizens cannot afford health insurance, certain plans do not offer certain medical procedures, and it ensures citizens to have no medical worries. America, it mostly is an amazing continent, or so they for the most part thought. We really take it for granted, not taking care of it, so America, it specifically is an amazing continent in a kind of big way. America however, doesn’t care because it definitely is not a living creature, which mostly is quite significant. But, it still can essentially give some really pretty good gifts, so America, it kind of is an amazing continent, which particularly is quite significant. These kind of are America’s Gifts to my Generation, or so they essentially thought.
The Second Amendment says that all citizens should have the right to bear arms, and some people are trying to take away what the military fought for. America’s gift to my generation is the right to bear arms or the Second Amendment. Because of this law, we have the right to defend ourselves hunt, and have fun. The military fought for these rights so we should keep them.
America has contributed many things to my generation. America is truly lucky to have troops and veterans, for they have been amicable to my generation. One thing they have given is improved women's rights. Before my generation, women weren’t totally equal, but people before me have worked on this.
According to the US Census Bureau, around 33 million people in the United States of America did not have health insurance in 2014. That is about 10.4 percent of the US population. I was fortunate enough to have insurance growing up. I remember when my father lost his job when I was quite young, my mother was very worried because he had no health insurance. He was not worried about it as much as she was, but unfortunately, he fell off his bike and fractured his knee and forearm. He was so stressed out about how he was going to pay for it because unemployment was definitely not going to help. He had to take out a loan and luckily got a job soon after so he could pay it off quickly. Many people are not able to pay off loans for medical services so quickly. We live in the richest nation on earth and we should not go without health care. It could stop medical bankruptcies, improve public health, reduce overall healthcare spending, and help small businesses. Health care should be a necessary government service. According to a 2009 study from Harvard
