“Bill come on time to go!” Tom's mom screamed. Every summer Tom has to go to summer camp. His parents are traveling all the time because of work. Bill really doesn't like to go, he’s not the “athletic type.” Tom does not have a lot of friends and keeps to himself. As bill walks down the stairs to the car he feels a little overwhelmed. Bill has gone to the camp three summers in a row and feels weirded out when he’s near the woods. The camp counselors don’t like it when kids go to the woods by themselves, apparently kids have disappeared but the counselors don’t talk about it too much.
The car ride there is long. To get there you have to go far from town. You could see huge trees swaying back and forth as you pass by, it’s a little creepy. Bill arrived to the eerie camp, he saw all the kids with their parents trying to check in and get to know the grounds. The car came to a stop and Bill and his mom got out the car. It was a long ride there so it took Bill a minute to stretch out. Bill and his mom walk up to the front desk, there was a young man at the desk looked like he was not in a good mood. The man began to speak “Hello and welcome to camp, do you need a room?” the man said angrily. “Um yes please.” Bill’s mom said, but Bill zoend out the rest of the conversation. “Bill I have to go now,” Bill’s mom said “I love you and please don’t get in trouble your room number is 122.” “Ok mom love you too.” Bill said. His mom gave him a kiss on the cheek, gave him his room number and bags and left.
Bill walked through the huge camp and looked for his room number. Bill has been at the camp multiply times so it was not hard to find. “122 must be mine room” Bill said out loud. The room was not in the best condition, moss was on the outside and the grass was a little dead. Bill walk up slowly to the door and knocked three times, “Hello is anyone home.” You usually get a room mate. “Come in!” the other person yelled from inside. Great, Bill was hoping no one would be home. Bill opened the creaking door slowly. When he entered he saw a boy around 14 his age sitting on one of the two beds. “Hi my names Tom, what's your name?” The boy said. “I’m Bill.” Bill does not have friends and he keeps to himself, so he a little shy.
THE BOY HITCHHIKING on the back-country Kansas road was nineteen years old. He had been dropped there by a farmer in a Model T Ford who had turned off to the north. Then he waited for three hours. It was July and there were no clouds. The wheat fields were flat and went straight to the horizon. The boy had two plums and he ate them. A blue Plymouth coupe went by with a man and a woman. They were laughing. The woman had blonde hair and it was all loose and blew from the window. They didn't even see the boy. The strands of straw-colored hair seemed to be waving to him. Half an hour later a farmer stopped in a Ford pickup covered with a layer of dust. The boy clambered into the front seat. The farmer took
When I was taking a photo of the purple sky and two stretching lakes across the Bonney Pass in the Teton Mountains; I knew this place that I loved had transformed me into a better person and a more confident woman.
This summer I was given the amazing opportunity to be a camp counselor. At first, I was hesitant because I wanted to spend my summer having fun. I thought about it a lot and soon realized that the opportunity was a dream come true. I had always wanted to have a group of little girls who loved me and thought I was the coolest person ever. My summer was absolutely perfect. Three things that made my summer perfect were my kids, my job, and my memories.
One hot friday afternoon Jamal and Jonathon got off the bus from a long day of school.Jonathon was staying the night at Jamal’s house. They walked down the street to Jamal’s house. But one thing about it is Jamal forgot to do the dishes this morning which it one of his chores he calls a job. They finally got to Jamal’s house after a long hot walk. But as soon as they walked threw the door all you could hear was Jamal’s mother yelling like somebody had died saying“you knew you had to do the dishes now go do them”!Jamal and Jonathon went into Jamal’s room and put there bookbagas down then went straight into the kitchen. As Jamal and Jonathon walked to the kitchen Jamal thougtht of a plan to get Jonathon to do his work for him because he really didnt want to wash dishes.
Dave decided to set up a Lemonade stand. He had seen other kids in, the neighborhood do it. It didn't seme that complicated. By the time he had made the sines and lemonade and brought it all out, the boy from across the street was sitting at his lemonade stand. The boys name was Mike. Mike glared at dave as he sat at his stand. Dave got an idea. A while later, he came out with a plate of hommade chocolate chip cookies. Mike stormed into his house. Later he came out with a plait of huge chocolate brownies. Dave crossed his arms, sneered, and went into his house. He came back with a tray of mini sandwiches. a family walking down the street stopped at Dave's stand. They bought to sandwiches and three glasses of lemonade. Then they walked across
One of the workers woke up. She looked around for a bit and she was still half asleep so she couldn’t really see or know what she was doing. So, she fell back asleep………….. It was a little while after the worker fell back to sleep. It was like 6:30 am, and one of the other workers woke up. He was wide awake and so he went outside and went on a walk. While he was walking another woke up he just wanted food so he went out and went fishing. The last worker woke up and she was still kind of sleepy so she read a book. She was wondering if anybody had seen Susana because she hadn’t seen her. “Oh well,” she thought. It was 10:00 am, and the worker that fell back to sleep woke up Susana slept in the sleeping bag right next to hers so when she looked down it was empty.” Oh well”, she thought. Then once the two girls were ready, they went to see what the other workers were doing. The boy workers had met up by now. Once the girl workers had gone there they asked. “Hey where is Susana we thought she was with you guys.” “ Nope we thought she was with you.” the boy workers said.” “OH NO!! WE LOST HER!!!!!! They all screamed. They all started searching and searching for places. In the bushes, trees, and nowhere was she found. The workers called down everybody from Atwood, so everybody started searching and searching. It was almost dark and everybody was sitting down when one of the kids whispered” SHHH I hear a
Tallulah and I were at the fuel airport. It was the littlest airport. It was night so it was hard to see there. We are going to go pick up orphans from Africa. We are flying over the Atlantic ocean. “Talulah are you ready to go,” Lizzie said. “Let's go Lizzie.” Said Talulah. We are 30 min away. 30 min went by. We are landing. And the kids are waiting for us at the airport. I said to Talulah, “are you ready to get the kids.” “Yes”, said Talulah. We get the kids on the plane. We want back of the plane and asks for the kids names. Most of them did not talk. Bet there was these two girls that answered me one was Linda and the other was Koko. So we want back up to the front of the plane. And I said to Talulah “ready for taking off.” “Ready”, said
Allen Jones was a mysterious man who lived in the woods since he was twelve years old. Allen had been hunting since he was eleven, so it was no shock that he lived by killing animals and eating berries. He had a nice peaceful life until one day when one of the townspeople came into the woods. Allen didn’t realize it was a person and thought it was just a bear, so he shot it. He heard the person scream out in pain and ran over to him. The man had been shot in the leg and needed to see a doctor right away. Allen picked the man up and started to carry him out of the woods and to a doctor. As he was carrying him he thought about how scared he was to go back to town. Allen stopped for a second and then thought it through and talked himself into
One day a man named Tyler Dawson was on trip to Chicago for vacation. He decided that he would go camping it was during the winter he was prepared and had his equipment with him. It was a bright peaceful day and snow was everywhere, it was very quiet and relaxing. He decided to go further into the woods, he traveled to a part of the woods that no one ever ventured too. It was always very dangerous to go further into the woods, but he was prepared any decided to go venture off. As he was venturing it started to get darker and colder. As he was getting flashlight from his bag he heard a cracking noise. He shouted “is anyone there” with no reply.
I take a deep breath and start down the dirt path to where I will live for the next twelve days. The air is crisp, oddly like autumn for an August afternoon. I pull my thin cotton T-shirt closer to my body. I already miss the stifling dry heat. !follow the other two kids and the camp counselor in front of me, trying to avoid turning my ankle on the roots in the path that seem to pop up from nowhere. The boys in front of me don't seem nervous, they're joking with the counselor like they've been friends forever even though they had only just met. I paste a too-stiff smile across my thirteen-year-old cheeks and try to close the distance between myself, the boys, and the counselor. The counselor stops abruptly by a patch of knee-high grass just before a fork in the road and turns to me. I feel my face redden. The counselor is around nineteen years old with curly chestnut hair fashioned in a short haircut that has clearly grown out throughout the long summer months, a stray curl loops around their unpierced ear and rests against their cheek; they have an
He heard shuffling inside then the door unlocked it slowly opened and women about the age of his mother. Her face lit up with joy as she screamed “JONAS!” and wrapped her arms around him and Gabriel, he did not know who this women was but he felt an instant connection with her and hugged her back. He has never felt this much love before, he stood there hugging her for at least 10 seconds. The women finally let go “why did it take you so long?” the women asked Jonas. “what do you mean?” Jonas responded having no idea what she was talking about. Two children younger than him ran out the door and also asked what took him so long? Jonas was so confused, “the milk, why did it take you so long to get it?” the woman asked while grabbing Gabriel. He looked down and he was gone it was carton of milk, he watched as she took it and put it in the fridge. Jonas has never been so confused, he spoke to one of the small children “what happened?” they giggled a little then began “well about an hour mom asked you to go get some milk for grandma, we were all worried because the store it right down the street but it took you so long.” Jonas suddenly remembered everything and walked into door hugging everyone on his way
Mom said, "Heavenly Father, we come before you this night to ask you to send an angel to camp with our son Timmy, to keep him safe from harm and to guide him through his daily activities so that he will not be afraid and that he has the most fun of all the children there. We ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen." "See Son, now you have nothing to worry about because you have an angel to go to camp with you and be with you always."
“Guys hurry up we have to travel 12 hours by car”, dad yelled. “Get in the car Sam and Tom do you guys want go camping or not”, Kai screamed. So dad where are we going to camp Harry said repeated. So when we entered the freeway there a long line of cars for at least 1 mile. 30 minutes passed. Lucy started to cry because James and Kai were fighting over for kicking someone's shoe. So dad took the next exit and stopped the car and separated James and Kai. We went off road and my dad did not know how to drive on the off road so he kept going to the sharp rocks. So the tires were flat after it popped. Then we lost the way so we were lost. Then the family had to build the cabin. First Harry and Kai search for wood branches. While Harry was searching
