"Why did Mildred stay at your house? as I recall you give her the creeps" She says.
"I found her lost in the woods surrounding my house, it was getting late, so I offered her a place to stay" Zach replies, a low tone to his voice.
"Why would Mildred be lost when she lives around the same general area as you do?" She asks.
"I don't know, I guess she went for a walk and got lost" Zach replies to her, sounding uncomfortable.
He looks over at me for a split second. Not long at all, but long enough see what he's getting nervous about his eyes are slightly turning yellow. I have to think fast. If he shifts that will be the end of the secret, and everyone will know. Not only that, but someone could get hurt. I can't allow that to happen, but how do I take the heat off of Zach. Then something that Emma said from earlier this morning gives my an idea. 'Nothing happens in this small town without anybody knowing

"I think you're lying" Ms. spark says.
"I didn't lie" Zach says, trying to suppress the growl rising up within him.
I have to intervene. I walk slowly into the office. Ms. Spark's eyes shift from Zach to me in surprise, I clear my throat. "Zach's not lying" I start, but then I feel the need to sit down, so I take avenge of the right of Zach. "Yesterday afternoon after School. I went to the park, and I was the one who found Nora's body. I freaked out and ran into the woods, by the time I stopped running it was late, then Zach's family appeared out of nowhere, and invited me to live with them for a while" I explained. I look over towards Zach, and he's got his hands covering his eyes.
Ms. Sparks looks right at me. "Is that true?" She asks me, and I nod my head firmly in reply. Then she looks towards Zach. "Alright Zach, you're off the hook for now" she says. Zach lets out a slight sigh as he removes his hand from his eyes, they're back to normal.
I turn back towards my teacher. "Can we leave now?" I ask

“I don't know who she is anymore, or who she was, but I need to find her.”
"She did?" The detective asked surprised. When she remember the not so comfortable conversations with her, she tried to ignore the warmth she felt in her cheeks. "What did she.. uhm say exactly?"

“I don’t know, but she hadn’t left her house, or answered her door for three days. And the lights remained on the entire time. So, I thought something must be wrong.”
"We wouldn't be able to find him until morning. Usually in the backyard", she said.
I attempt to catch my breath as I speak. "Please, how did you know where I lived?"
he told me “Now as your new agent I need to tell you don’t get too carried away you could disappear just like that.” “Sure Zack, but I doubt that it will happen.” I replied.
“Hey sweetie,” Sam said, pulling their daughter’s attention to him, “this is Grace. Why don’t you ask her the question we were talking
"That's fair. But why do you think you wanted her help for all so many years?"
“So you took us into some haunted farm without a plan. Oh, the genius you are” Zach was mad, but he could’ve just stayed behind but he decided to come.
“Thanks.” I am about to run when I realized something. “How did you know she was in trouble?”
“No it’s okay I wanna take a walk through the woods.” I said. I gave Lexi a hug and kissed her.
