If I would bring somebody back from the past to have dinner with,I would choose George Washington. I would choose him because not only was he the first president, but George was in the revolutionary war. he was selected as the general of this war because he was well prestiged when attending the meetings in his old military uniform. George Washington was a part of the French and Indian war as well and he had won both of those war. He was the only surviving one of the war at the time. George was also elected not only elected as president but he was the 1st president. When George was president he served 2 terms a our leader. When George Washington
There are many fascinating events and people that make up American history. Some events have changed the very ways that American values have formed and many people have risen to the challenges of their time to make a better country for every American citizen. George Washington was one of those people. He is widely known as one of the founding fathers of America. George Washington was born February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He was the oldest son of Augustine and Mary Washington. George Washington lived through and was part of many of America’s first couple defining moments in history. He served as a politician, Army officer, and became the first President of the United States. His time as an Army officer had its ups and
If I could go back in time, I would personally thanks Mr. Washington for being so very noble, caring, smart, and for starting our country out on the right foot.
George Washington was one of the most skilled, and maybe the best person that could have held the title of founder of the United States of American. He had the capabilities of representing his people on the Continental Congress, the intelligence to flip his misfortunes to his victories on many battles against the British and on his personal life, the generosity of believing in people that were ignored or discriminated by society and more remarkably, the bravery needed to act against the laws and even risk his own life on several occasions for the liberty of his people, among many other aspects that makes him one of the most studied historical characters and sources of inspiration.
George Washington was born in Bridges Creek, Virginia in February on the 22 of 1732. At the age of eleven his father, Augustine Washington, died of unknown causes which caused George Washington to live the next few years in different households throughout Virginia. Washington’s official career in the military began in 1752. In June, 1775, the Second Congress elected George Washington as Commander in Chief, which lead to Washington taking control over the Continental forces that were surrounding the British army in Boston. Throughout the war for Independence, he continued to make smart decisions, such as the surprise attack in Trenton. In Congress was unable to provide his troops with enough or supplies, which lead to many of his troops starving.
George Washington, has always been the ideal president. He was not only the first U.S. President, he also possessed great leadership qualities, was an honorable war hero, and an all around interesting man. George was one of the founding fathers who helped shape this country as we know it today. He set new standards and inspired many presidents to come. He is considered the Father of our country.
I asked all my family members to name as many presidents as they could, and the only one they consistently said was George Washington. if he was the only one remembered then george must have had the greatest impacted. He Also won the election anonymously because he's so great and he did great things as the president. He showed the power of the executive branch and maintained power peacefully.
In George Washington's Farewell Address, one of his main concern was that an "alternate domination of one faction over another... is itself a frightful despotism." He felt that one party would rule over the majority in the government and feared of what it could become. And now because of these political parties, there are more Republicans in the House of Representatives and the Senate. For instance, there are 248 Republican seats in the House and only 192 Democrats. As well as in the Senate, where 54 are Republicans and only 44 are Democrats. From this division, Republicans will favor Republican ideals in the government and the Democrats are being misrepresented. I believe that Washington would not stand for this disunion and would
Thomas Jefferson is the most interesting revolutionist. Sitting down for dinner with him would be an extraordinary chance to learn what it was like to live in the era of great thinker and one of the most famous revolutions in history. I would have numerous questions for Thomas Jefferson about how his life was and what it is like to be one of the Founding Fathers. He was also part of the first Continental Congress which was the beginning to our nation’s government. He was responsible for the largest land purchase in American history known as the Louisiana Purchase which bought up most of the southern and Midwest territory of America. Thomas Jefferson also funded the Louis and Clark expedition which was a search for the quickest route through
George Washington was the first U.S. president. He was fifty-seven years old when he was nominated for president, and stayed president for two terms. If I could meet anyone I would want to meet George Washington. One reason why is because he fought in the French and Indian War. He was also a leader in the Revolutionary War. Here are some examples of why these facts show that I would want to meet him.
Good day General Washington. My name is James Powelli, and I run the local newspaper, “Events of America.” My readers asked me to interview you, so that they could gain some insight on your life. They would also like to know something about you and what challenges and events you faced before, during and after becoming president. So let us get started.
If I had dinner with any revolutionary it would be George Washington. The reason why I chose George Washington is because I think he was a very interesting and noble man. He was the very first President of the United States and played a leading military and political role. I want to know how hard that was for him and what he did in order to set to that level. George Washington was also the commander in chief of the continental Army during the Revolutionary war. He then forced the British out of Boston in 1776 but was defeated later that year when he lost New York City. I want to know his ideas on what he could have done in order to be victorious and what would of happened if the British was not kicked out from Boston in 1776. In the battle
Washington farewell address was written by one of our founding fathers, George Washington. This article contained a lot of problems that our country need help with. For example the issue on government, foreign affairs, national debt and political party.Although time has change from 200 years ago,I feel like this article should be used more in our modern government. By changing a couple of words in the article but still keeping the meaning that George Washington was trying to say, I think this country's dilemmas would not be as trouble as they are now.
I also would like to eat dinner with george washington because he was a big part in america's success. He wore a wig. He seems like a radical guy and has good attitude. He was bffs with betsy ross.
If I could have dinner with only one revolutionary it would have to be Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin was a founding father of the United States of America, and he was also an author, printer, political theorist, politician, freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. I would like to have dinner with Benjamin Franklin because first off, he would pay and I would get a good and expensive dinner, also because I would love to tell hime how his finding of electricity has changed the world, and to thank him. To start off the first thing I would tell him is thank you for all the hard work, and never giving up on discovering electricity because without it the world would not have air conditioning, our
If I could have dinner with anyone, I would choose to dine with Mahatma Ghandi. Ghandi was the leader of India when the country became independent from the British Empire; he was a man without extravagant tastes, so it seems likely that we would enjoy a simple meal together. Ghandi preached non-violent resistance and led a massive social movement. Many of the ideas of American Civil Rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., who fought against institutional racism, violence and segregation in American society, are similar to Ghandi’s. Neither person believed in meeting violence with violence. I would talk to Ghandi about his legacy and the American Civil Rights struggle, and ask him questions about how he felt about King, his potential, and
