On 11/13/2015 at approximately 2133 hours, I was dispatched to 712 Cotton Brooks Dr. (The Grooves) in reference to a domestic. Dispatcher Cioch advised that a female complainant stated her husband is intoxicated and just struck her and her daughters with his hand and she and her daughters had locked themselves upstairs in the bathroom to get away from him.
Upon my arrival, I observed a white male standing outside, Officer Welch then order the suspect to ground who was later identified as Kevin George Plato (Suspect). Mr. Plato had a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath at this time.
I then proceeded to enter the residence and noticed a female was visibly upset and was crying. I identified the female as Mrs. Gloria Lipscomb Plato (Victim) and her daughters Marissa Dawn Plato (Victim) and Kara Plato. Marissa stated that she heard her parents arguing so she went downstairs to make sure her dad did not hurt her mother. Marissa stated that she witness her father run at her mother in aggressive manner so she ran and started fighting with him in her mothers defense. Marissa could not provide any further information.
I then made contact with Mr. Kevin George Plato (Suspect). Mr. Plato stated that he has been having marital issues. Mr. Plato stated that his wife and himself have been fighting ever since their daughter Kara had moved back home several months ago. Mr. Plato stated the reason for the incident was over stress. Mr. Plato admitted to slapping his wife in the face.
Mr. Plato was arrested for assault on a female. Mr. Plato was transported to the Wake County Jail where he was processed by CCBI and then released into the custody of the Wake County Jailers without further incident

During the period of the police lineup, the witness pointed out Mr. Gibbs as the suspect regardless of having physical differences in weight and stature. Moreover, a park police officer told the police that he did see the offender, but he was never asked to identify the offender in a lineup. An autopsy was performed on the victim’s body and hair samples were found that shown Caucasian characteristics.
On 10/28/12 at approximately 1330 hours, Deputy J. Berner and I (Deputy M. Young) was dispatched to 2712 Dwight Road in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, I met with, Mrs. Tiffany Howell (complainant).
Upon arrival, Officer Jimenez made contact with Gerald Hendricks (W/M-DOB11/19/1981). Hendricks was standing outside the residence. Upon contact, Officer Jimenez could smell a strong odor of alcoholic coming from Hendricks breath. Hendricks told Officer Jimenez that he got into a physical altercation with his wife Amber Anderson (W/F-DOB02/12/1982). Hendricks stated that his wife was inside the residence. On January 10, 2017, I, Officer LESSANE, with the city of Beaufort Police Department, responded to 1030 Ribaut Road #6, in the city limits of Beaufort, to conduct a follow up on a previously reported domestic (17B01907). Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim SOFIA CHAVEZ and confirmed the offender VICTOR MANUEL CRUZ-ANAYA information. While at the victim residence, I took updated photos of her injuries. She also provided me with a photo of the offender. After clearing from the victim residence, I relocated to the offender job in an attempt to make contact with him. Negative contact was made, no further actions were taken.
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the complainant who was identified as Corena Mendoza(H/F/-DOB09/01/1981). Corena told Officers that she was concerned for her daughter’s welfare who was inside the residence. Corena told Officers that she was afraid her daughter was going to get beaten up by her
On 9-7-2016 at about 0950 hrs I was dispatched to the Seasons on Lea Hill for a vandalism report. Enroute dispatch advised that the victim, Shawntea Mason, had contacted 911 to report that she had discovered damaged to her vehicle.
On 07/11/2015 at 2200 hours, I was assigned as the floor officer for Tower 13 at Lower Buckeye Jail located at address listed above. At approximately 2225 hours, I was conducting a security walk in Tower 13 B-Pod when I walked in front of Cell 19. Inmate Ward T193682 was standing inside Cell 19 when he told me that he was assaulted by another inmate and he feared for his safety and asked me to take him out of the housing unit. I immediately escorted Inmate Ward out of Tower 13 B-Pod to One Core.
At about 1130 hrs police were dispatched to 2404 K ST SE for the report of a physical domestic in progress. Upon arrival, Leondra Joyner reported that she was assaulted by her 16 year old dauthger, Ayana Holloway. Leondra explained that they were in a dispute, which is a daily occurance between the two, when Ayana struck Leondra in the side of the face with her fist. I observed a red mark and a small cut on the right side of Leondra's face. Ayana admitted that she did in fact strike Leondra during the dispute, but stated that Leondra struck her as well. Contact was made with the subjected detained in the back of Officer Cox’s patrol vehicle. The male subject identified himself as Jared’s brother, Joshua Depew. Joshua’s identity was confirmed using D.A.V.I.D. Joshua stated that if any marijuana was left anywhere it was his. Joshua further stated that this incident was his fault and that he needed a ride for alcohol, so his brother, (Jared) enlisted his girlfriend, (Scott), to drive to Walmart for him. Joshua kept stating that everything was his and to take him to jail, not Scott or Jared. When asked about the other unidentified male, Joshua was only able to provide a first name of, Joshua.
He described the suspect as a white, male, aproximately 35 years of age, 160 lbs., with black hair, and dark eyes. He alos described the clothing the suspect was wearing which included: blue, jeans, white tshirt, black teniis shoes, and a borwn leather
At this location, we were able to make contact with the victim’s mother, Jodie Williams, to begin our investigation. Jodie Williams advised this morning at 0630 hrs; she dropped her son Philip Barrett, Jr at her sister's house to be taken care of while she goes to work. Around 0739 hrs, her sister Wendy Williams, sent Jodie a text message asking why does Jr have bruises and scratches on his face. Jodie Williams advised at this time she responded, her oldest daughter Sophia hit him with a toy while they were playing, but asked for more photos. When Wendy sent her pictures of Barrett Jr, she immediately left work and pick up her son and took him to the hospital. Jodie Williams advised a doctor stated the bruises might have been caused by a hand or a dog.
Upon arrival, I heard inaudible screaming from the rear of the residence, at this time through the open rear window I observed a male subject screaming from the staircase. I made contact with the male subject inside his residence (Diaz, Johnny DOB 08/01/72), Diaz appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. I detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Diaz. While speaking with Diaz, I observed a cut on his left middle knuckle. Diaz related that he injured his hand working on trucks. I observed an open syringe on the kitchen floor laying next to a burnt metal tin (one photo taken and later placed into inventory). Diaz related that he is a heroin user and is taking prescribed methadone.
On 04/21/16, I was dispatched to 123 Main Street, at 1305 HRS, and arrived on scene at 1310. The original call was from an anonymous person stating they heard their neighbors yelling and arguing with each other. The caller stated that this is constantly happening.
I made contact with the females at 601 Poplar Street, while waiting to see if they had anything to do with the assault I identified them and had dispatch check both subjects for warrants.
On 4/2/17 at approximately 1754hrs I, Officer Choate, was dispatched to 3343 Island Estates Dr. for a report of harassment. Upon my arrival I made contact with the complainant/ victim, identified as being Ashley Champagne, who stated that she has been being harassed by Gloria Harrison since 3/21/17.
