Homosexuality is a product of biology because according to research, the hormones of the females are stronger. Dr. Hamer states that sexual orientation, male homosexuality is genetically influenced. This is passed down through their mothers to the hormone of their offspring. Sexual identity is wired into the genes, which discounts the concept that homosexuality and transgender sexuality are a choice. Since sexual differentiation occurs within the womb, as a result of hormonal influences, it has been hypothesized that homosexuality may result from differential hormone balance in the wombs of those who eventually exhibit a homosexual orientation. Rahman believes that the evidence clearly points to a biological, prenatal based homosexuality. He claims that homosexuality is biologically determined, even before birth. He cites evidence from twin-studies, genetic scanning, brain structure studies, and the fraternal birth order effect. He denies that learning plays a role in the development of homosexuality by arguing that the theories which attempt to explain sexual orientation through cultural socialization, either by authority figures or peers, are simply "not supported". Evidence from twin studies points to a genetically heritable homosexuality. Genetic scanning shows that homosexuality is a correlated with several genes.
The maternal immune theory is well established because it relies on the very reliable fraternal birth order effect. The fraternal birth order effect is accounted for in the prenatal environment. Brain structure differ between homosexual and heterosexual men.
