Doctor, there is a great deal of blood loss! We need to stabilize the patients and give them more anesthetic! Many orders bounced around the operating room as the first conjoined twin separation occurred. A slight movement to the right may rupture a blood vessel. A slight movement to the left may breach a vein. Each move was paramount in the completion of the surgery. After 16 hours of gargantuan pressure, the surgery was deemed a success. One may say that Dr. Ben Carson was destined for success from an early age when in reality his childhood pushed him towards being a model of the typical African-American male stereotype. Benjamin Carson has had a tremendous impact on the choices that I have made in life so far. When I was in the eighth grade I wanted to be a neurosurgeon because I was inspired what Dr. Carson had done. After conducting a few projects based around the brain, I decided that neurology was not for me. When I was in 9th grade I had a chance to meet Dr. Carson. I told him that I wanted to be a neurosurgeon at first, but then I obtained a growing interest in oncology. Dr. Carson told me to follow my passion. From that point until today I have been following my passion of doing cancer research. I have obtained two pending publications with scientist throughout the country. I have also received top honors at several national science fairs. Dr. Carson influenced me to follow my passion and it has proven to be the right thing to
At the age of ten, I read a book, “Gifted Hands” by Dr. Ben Carson, which inspired and begin to motivate my interest in pursuing medicine as a career because I could identify with his discovery of the joy of reading and his fascination with science. When I was 14, I had an epiphany at the doctor’s office. This event occurred a little after I had finished my final exams in school and the next step was to go to senior high school. But, I thought the preliminary chemistry and physics classes of junior high school were daunting and went on to convince myself that a career in medicine might not be right for me.

We are going to try to make it through our workshops, my little intro on David Foster Wallace and these two videos tomorrow. Might be a little too ambitious. These are wonderful videos, very uplifting, very important to the time we are living in. I think we are in for a fun week. The videos are listed below for your reference, and in case we do not make it through these tomorrow. You don't have to watch them. The first one is Wallace's commencement speech, the second is on meta-modernism in pop culture.
Minutes have passed and to my surprise, after shocking the patient multiple times, we had return of spontaneous circulation. A sense of excitement, and relief, poured over me. From my past experiences, I assumed that there was a small probability that this man would live; however, that day I learned that every patient is different. As a Physician Assistant (PA) I want to consider the entire combination of factors that make each person unique, analyzing all aspects of their life – physically and emotionally. Ultimately, this experience motivated me to channel all of my energy towards pursuing a career as a PA.

If I was unsure about my pursuit of engineering before I came to A&M, I was completely convinced I made the right decision to become an engineer after taking chemistry with Dr. Tak Leung. He often related his personal research to the topics he was teaching. This professor solidified my interest in engineering and research. He spoke about his humorously failed experiments and the impressively successful ones that led to several patents, which persuaded me to want to go above and beyond to learn and improve on complex engineering problems or even the most basic things.

Ben Carson is a republican candidate running for president in the 2016 election; he is a retired renowned pediatric surgeon that has accomplished great things in hi life. He’s a man of god and a man of wise words, he shows loyalty in America but struggles to find his political side of the campaign because he has no political history, I predict he has a chance of becoming the republican candidate but I do not think he will become president.
