We have all deleted something from our smartphones at one point in time and wished we had the same kind of recycling bin that our computer running Windows operating systems has pre-installed. Sadly, that isn't the case with the Android operating system when it comes with a locked operating system straight out of the box. There is a way you can have a recycling bin and restore any of your old deleted pictures, videos and music files, and it's done with the Dumpster application for rooted users.

Anyone can install the Dumpster application on the Sony Xperia Z5c and restore those deleted files you wish were still around. The only thing you need to do is root your device first by using the guide after the break.

You will need to unroot, have the stock recovery and lock the bootloader before your warranty can work again. Check forums like XDA developers and Google for more details on how all that is done for your device.
Never accept your OTA's after you root the device. For those who do not know, OTA stands for over the air update and they can brick your device with root access. You want to be searching for your stock ROM and flash tool to flash your stock ROM on the device manually with the help from a computer. Get familiar with flashing your stock ROMs if you are planning on rooting and installing a custom recovery in the future. The flash tool will often stay the same if you are using a device from the same manufacturer; it's just the stock ROM file you will need to keep changing.
HOW TO ROOT SONY XPERIA Z5c COMPACT ON ANDROID 5.1.1 LOLLIPOP

Download the SuperSU by Chainfire you need to root the Z5c from here.
Drag the SuperSU from your default downloads folder over to the desktop.
Connect the Sony Xperia Z5c device to the computer with the USB cable and copy the SuperSU file over to the root of the internal storage SD card.
Unplug your device from the computer and reboot it to recovery
