“As an ENTJ person, you’re a confident and strategic thinker, you automatically analyze things, and you enjoy observing patterns and trends. Your primary goal in life is to make important things happen.” That was the feedback that I received after completing the lengthy MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) test years ago. At that time, I had no idea what, making important things happen, meant to me. Through the exploration of different fields, from academic research to real world experiences, I discovered a huge passion for real estate development and investment.
I studied architecture for three years in college and spent a summer working as an architect intern at XWG Architecture Studio in Beijing, China. During that time, I participated in a commercial complex project in Beijing and an industrial park project in Wuhan. I was busy the entire summer creating models and drawing diagrams. While becoming familiar with what it’s like to be an architect in real world, I observed some things

I plan on taking courses such as Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets: REIT Analysis. After graduate school, I hope to begin my career in real estate investment, and I specifically want to gain experience managing REITs and private equity funds in a mature and developed market like New York. Later in my career, I want to return to Asia and use my experience to raise capital to support commercial real estate development projects. Based on my research and conversations with current and former MSRED students, I believe that the MSRED program has precise combination of development and investment curriculum, the most experienced professors in this industry, and the professional network that I need to make my career a reality. I greatly look forward to joining you, bringing my own perspective, and contributing as an ambitious, passionate, and diligent candidate in the real estate
My interest in medicine first stemmed from my freshman Biology class and my Nutrition class. I was intrigued by our studies of cells, genetics, and disease. Both courses incited a sense of awe and curiosity within me. Dissecting a frog, was the stepping-stone for my interest in medicine. Seeing the frog's heart made me wonder how the human heart worked. My research into the human heart inspired me to learn more about the medical field. I sought out volunteer opportunities that would give me insight into a doctor’s typical day. During my volunteer experience, I learned that as a doctor you experience many obstacles, including patient compliance and insurance approval issues. In my journey to pursue medicine, I learned that becoming a doctor means more than helping people, it means being the team leader, being compassionate, and most importantly being committed to the patient’s well being.
The process I developed and used to complete my dissertation was trial and error in the beginning. I entered the Ed.D. program, at Southwestern College after several years removed from a graduate program after having obtained my Master’s in School Administration. I entered the doctoral program with basic knowledge of current instructional research, theories, and practices, but had a desire to challenge myself professionally.
Real estate has always been extremely interesting to me, even at a young age, I knew that I wanted to make a career out of it. Initially, my interest was sparked by watching HGTV (Home & Garden Television) with my mother on the weekends. My fascination for real estate continually expanded the more I had the chance to witness all the amazing houses and beautiful designs on the television. My desire to be a real estate agent only grew from there on out. When I began attending high school, I wanted to take classes and join clubs that would help lead me closer towards my chosen career path. Therefore, I joined Distributive Education Clubs of America my freshman year. Through DECA, I was introduced to a multitude of knowledgeable skills relating
A good job is something everyone needs to have. It doesn’t have to be a doctor or dentist or any other traditional well-paying job. Your job should be something you enjoy and look forward to doing. To get a decent paying job you should go to college for at least 4 years. Although there is a couple lucky people who do or did okay without going to college. Mostly, nowadays people have to go to college to live well.
I believe that I am proficient in establishing a classroom setting that calls upon the students to learn in an individual and collaborative manner. I believe that I have sufficiently encouraged positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self motivation. I have shown this in learning activities that have been presented to the students. An example of this would be with the placard assignment, which had the students fill out a sheet that corresponded to four maps to help them figure out what artifacts certain cultural regions would use. During this learning segment, students would have to be self directed after the directions were given, the students would have to use collaborative skills, and they were all engaged during
I am very excited to be applying to ECU for many reasons. From the pleasant campus atmosphere to the comprehensive majors, I believe I will be greatly benefited by the experience the university offers.
I have chosen to take Myers-Briggs Assessment test from the following website http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp. After writing the assessment test I have got ENTJ which is Extravert (67%) intuitive (12%) Thinking (25%) Judging (56%). The ENTJ mostly focuses on the efficient and organized means of performing a task. This kind of people are goal concerned and regularly make them superior leaders, both in realistic and visionary in applying a extended time plan. These ENTJ’s are frequently strategic leaders interested in developing there organization and maintain their team to succeed. They have a good vision about the feature and try to understand how to motivate people and guide them towards

A person’s personality is his or her essence. It is what guides decisions, emotions, and even thoughts. Some may wonder if it is possible to explore every nuance of such a complex part of a being, but there are ways to determine what type of personality a person has, and then branch off into a more detailed examination of that person specifically. Combined with other factors, such as personality disorders and the environment that someone has grown up in, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, test (Enrichment 1) and analysis can determine an accurate portrayal of a personality. Created in 1943 by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, it is a system made up of four basic functions and sub functions that combine to make a personality type. The mother and daughter team constructed it off of Jung’s theories (History 2). Based on this system, one of the most common personality types in the US population is called an ESTJ, and one of the least common personality types is called an INFJ. There are many differences and similarities between these two types. An ESTJ personality, overall, is practical, fact-based, and outgoing, whereas an INFJ personality is more private and makes decisions based on feelings; however, both are organized people who make good leaders and are capable of great success in roles that involve helping others.
The MBTI assessment was an extremely useful tool in helping me to understand my inner world, assessing the way I think and behave. Dr. Robert Prescott in OB often emphasizes that we judge ourselves by our intentions, but others judge us by our behaviors. My personality type is reported as INFJ. The information provided in the assessment was a little overwhelming at first and has applications that reach well beyond the topic of change. I have learned that effectively managing change in the business world requires that I understand and manage change personally first; the MBTI is a start in that direction. I have begun to pay attention to my external behaviors, and realize that I can manage those behaviors to facilitate change. Change is often generated in business via external drivers, and to survive that change it becomes necessary to adapt my behaviors successfully to the changing environment.
The College of New Jersey gives me the ability to have a well rounded education. It allows me to major in psychology while still having the option to minor in a science or in Spanish. The small class sizes provide individualized attention and foster relationships between students and professors. I am not just a number, or just another student. With this, I have the flexibility to design my major around what will help me advance in the particular field I pick. Due to this ability, it will make me an overall better professional and competitor in my chosen field. While The College of New Jersey provides a diverse set of courses, it also offers life experience. TCNJ’s Center for Community Engaged Learning and Research will not only fulfill my desire to learn, but also to help others.
"I am an independent married student. My husband and I both are full time students with a part time jobs. I am pursuing my first undergraduate degree and the price of high education and the University tuition are excruciating. I belief, that with EOP program I will not only have an opportunities to pursuit my education, but also strong support on my way to success.
The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) enables an individual to gain a deeper insight into their inherent personality traits. For some people, they have had prior knowledge or underlying assumptions about their personality, but this test provides clearer information about each of their identifiable traits. According to the MBTI in Human-metric personality test, my scores were 22% (E) extroverted thinking more than introverted, 9% (N) intuitive as oppose to sensing, 16% (T) thinking more than feeling, and 12% (J) judging as compared to perceiving. Thus, my personality type is ENFJ. The ENFJ personality group is described as a minority group that consists of natural-born leaders, and people filled with passion, and charisma for example, Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey; they are notable members of this group, also known as the protagonists (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists apprehend pride in providing guidance for others to improve individually and to improve the community at large (16personalities, 2016). The protagonists find it naturally easy to communicate with others and excel at communicating with other people in person (16personalities, 2016).
Before the end of my second year at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture, I began to ponder on the possibility of quitting architecture. It was a convoluted time of uncertainty; I wasn’t sure whether I was prepared to become an architect and take on the responsibility and commitment to better the built environment. Nevertheless, I decided to give myself one last shot at architecture before giving up – I accepted the internship offer from MAD Architects in Beijing, China. There, I got to meet many young architects
Based on the work of Carl Jung, Isabel Myers and Katherine Briggs developed the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, a self-inventory geared toward helping individuals determine their personality types and individual areas of strength. “By helping people understand themselves, Myers and Briggs believed that they could help people select occupations that were best suited to their personality types and lead healthier, happier lives” (Cherry, 2015). This test, through helping me explore my own personality, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, and various preferences and compatibilities, has been instrumental in affirming my
