I had just woken up to one of the greatest exciting days of my life. My family and I had remained at the EL Tovar Hotel on the edge of the Grand Canyon in Grand Canyon, Arizona, since we arrived Thursday afternoon. The El Tovar Hotel first opened its doors in 1905. The hotel is constructed from limestone and Oregon pine. The hotel is a mix between a Swiss chalet and a Norwegian villa. The El Tovar required around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to be created. The El Tovar Hotel was later named a National Historic Landmark in 1987. Now let us move to the furthermost important part of my adventure, visiting the Grand Canyon. After we had become dressed and had breakfast, my family and I departed the El Tovar Hotel to adventure around the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon was created by the mighty Colorado River over a period of five million years. The Grand Canyon measures at over two hundred and seventy miles long, and about eighteen miles wide at its widest point and over one mile deep! The Grand Canyon was instated as a national park in 1919. The Grand Canyon was made a national park because an early explorer of it left a journal and stated how “valueless” the canyon was, and President Theodore Roosevelt after visiting the canyon, thought it was necessary that the Grand Canyon was made a …show more content…
While on the Skywalk, we were not allowed to have our phones or personal cameras with us. This disappointed me greatly because I wanted to take pictures from the Skywalk, but I was ecstatic to hear they had someone out on the Skywalk that could take pictures for us. When entering the Skywalk, we saw the true beauty of the Grand Canyon. From our position, my family and I could see the great depth of the canyon and its humongous width at the same time. By the time we arrived back at the hotel, it was late at night. At last, I could sleep after this tiring but an equally amazing

Sweat drips off your chin and stings your eyes. The rough stone, now hot with friction body heat, has begun to mark calluses on the base of your palm. The other workers in the room around you work on columns of stone and bits of obsidian using various sizes of chisels or hammers and picks. Finally, the call for the end of the workday washes over the jade workshop followed by a cacophony of tools being put down. You give the column you’re working on three final, hard rubs, then stand back to admire your work. The face of a giant stone warrior stares back at you. Once you clean up and exit the building, you stop a moment to admire the gold and jade buildings of the city around you before you hurry home. So what were the ancient Toltec like?

Providence Canyon is a park located in Southwest Georgia. Recently, the federal government made a decision to not make Providence Canyon- more known as the "Little Grand Canyon"- a national park. The federal government clearly does not know what they missed out on when they made this into only a state park. Providence Canyon would best be a national park because of tourism, education, and the stunning wildlife. These attributions should be known throughout the nation.

It didn't take us long to be very good friends. Diego comes from Ribeirão Preto, Northeastern region of the state of São Paulo in Brazil. His favorite past times are playing soccer, hanging out with friends and dancing.
Providence Canyon is a beautiful place for sight seeing. Many people visit ¨Little Grand Canyon¨ just to see all the great sights it has to offer. In the olden days farmers misused land for growing cotton. Farmers did not realize how bad they were neglecting their land until about a hundred years later. The farmers used the land so much that the soil became ruined and soon started creating small ditches from the amount of erosion. The ¨Little Grand Canyon¨ was becoming unfit, but after a while the erosion and rain made this place into a beautiful state park. According to travelers who visit the forested areas, they made a few wrong turns and thought they were in the America's southwest instead of Georgia's southwest.
Have you ever wondered how the Grand Canyon was made? How it was carved? It had been carved by John Grand. He was the man that had carved that 277 mile canyon. He was a really strong man with big muscles. He had did it with just one lucky hammer.
