ENERGY CONSERVATION:-
Energy conservation is a method to limit or control the use of energy resources in our day to day lives. It is a process which limits or reduces the amount of energy used. Energy conservation is an important necessity in our day to day lives, as the energy resources present on the Earth is limited. With the expansion of technology, the use and consumption of energy resources have been increased gradually over the years. Energy conservation can be done through the efficient use of energy i.e. reducing the consumption of energy resources. Conservation of energy is advantageous both for us and for the environment too. It is an important aspect which will help us in shaping the lives of our future generations. Energy conservation

The stars shows the efficiency of the product to conserve electricity. The ratings were done from 1 to five star ratings. The products with the highest star ratings were considered the most efficient in energy conservation and vice-versa.
Importance of energy conservation :-
• Energy conservation is unquestionably important as we are reluctantly reliant on energy for whatever we do in our day to day lives. As we know that the supply of energy is limited on Earth so we have to spend the energy wisely for the better quality of life.
• Reducing the quantity of energy that we use is a good way to save money and decrease energy conservation.
• It helps in protecting the environment for future generations and uses because energy saved is energy produced.
• Energy conservation leads to sustainable development of the country i.e. development which does not affects the environment.
• As per the record, over-use of energy resources leads to erratic climates and climatic changes.
• It affects the ecological balance of the

It represents or shows the property of an appliance to conserve electricity. It limits from one to five. Each rating shows the efficiency of the product. The Products with maximum stars are considered to be more energy efficient than others with low star content.
ENERGY CONSERVATION TECHNIQUES:-
• Incandescent lamps has been replaced by CFL i.e. compact fluorescent lamps, which takes low electricity to generate more amount of life and is more energy efficient.
• The CFL were replaced by LEDs as they consume 1/4th of electricity as used by a CFL. It has a longer life than CFL. The government is promoting the use of LEDs as they are the future.
• Switching off electric appliances when not in use could save a lot of electricity.
• Tightening of pipe joints can save water and avoid leakages.
• Reducing use of lights during daytime.
• Using public transports instead of own vehicles.
• Using CNG instead of petroleum could save fuels and also helps in reducing pollution.
• Use induction in place of LPG cylinders.
• Turn off the engines of vehicles at traffic signals could help in saving a lot of
Energy has easily become one of the most important necessities for our everyday lives. Without it we would simply not be able to have transportation or be able to gather any of our other resources that we depend on. If at anytime our energy supply ceases or no longer attainable the results may be horrific. However, it is quite easy to keep this from happening, It is crucial that our current population realize the importance of sustaining our present non-renewable resources. An examination of all the present energy issues and human impacts of energy conservation along with the a resource plan will show importance of energy
From the moment we wake up in the morning until the time we go to bed each night, we all use different forms of energy to perform our daily activities. On a daily basis I use energy for transportation to commute to and from work and run errands; for cooking meals using either my gas range, microwave or charcoal grill; for heating my home in the winter and cooling my home in the summer; for daily showering, and for lighting my home in order to be comfortable and productive. Most of the resources we rely on for energy are nonrenewable and will soon be depleted.
Energy is a main source used in mining sites. For example the use to grind ore and refine copper, coal and aluminium. By reducing the usage of electricity in mine sites it will conclude with the reducement of green house gas emissions. This being done will increase the living of fossil fuel reserves. Adding onto that it will reduce the cost of
As the Law of Conservation states, energy can be neither created nor destroyed (The Secret Lives of Energy). That means that an energy source has to be use in order to generate the energy needed. It is common knowledge that the pollution caused by the use of fossil fuels over time is making society live in a contaminated world. In addition, the cost of the use of fossil fuels is increasing and becoming too expensive, forcing people to find alternate ways in which they can pay less for the use of energy. The use of fossil fuels over time has increased to a point where the remaining reservoirs have decreased by a large margin. On the other hand, renewable energy is
2. Wind power is generating electricity by collecting wind, and it saves energy in the world.
When we turn on the lights and don’t turn them off , when we leave sinks on when we brush our teeth instead of turning them off until we need them. We are wasting energy by not realizing how much this could affect the environment. Animals, plants, humans, and minerals rely on energy to get the nutrients they need and to help give the plants their strength so they can provide food, flowers and other
When the new Southeast Polk High School opened they added many new energy saving products. This included installing geothermal heating under the high school cutting back on the cost of heating such a large building. Many new windows help save on energy used to light the building along with automatic lights that turn off after several minutes without movement. The new high school shows how easy it is to save money and help the environment. Renewable energy is good for all aspects of the U.S, providing jobs, economical growth, environmental cleanliness, and new research for improving energy efficiency. Therefore the United States should use renewable energy to benefit the economy and environment.
What do we know about our energy sources and how our energy choices affect the environment? Many people still do not put much though into this topic or pay any attention to the amount of energy they use or where it comes from. For some it is just willful negligence, but for many others it may be due to a lack of knowledge on the subject. Perhaps it is a good idea to pay closer attention and educate ourselves so we can make informed decisions that may lead to less stress on our wallets and on our environment. In order to make a change, we should observe our currently used energy sources in everyday life, the impact of increasing energy uses, and observe all of the alternative options available to us.
Firstly, it introduces the conservation of fuel and power which is the act of setting new energy efficiency standards in buildings and structures. It controls the insulation values of building elements, the allowable area of windows, doors and other openings, air permeability of the structure, the heating efficiency of boilers and the insulation and controls for heating appliances. This
As climate change becomes increasingly recognized as the key environmental issue of our times (Verissimo et al 2014), there is overwhelming scientific consensus that only a large reduction in greenhouse gas emissions can reduce the risks and impacts associated with climate change (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, 2007). Yet, to achieve meaningful reductions, we will need to change the way we use energy. One of the more immediate and cost-effective paths to this change is to increase energy conservation and improve use efficiency (Alcott & Mullainathan,2010).
The data also shows that CFL bulbs were a very close second in the amount of wasted heat energy per watt.. This was expected because the CFL bulbs, like the LEDs, do not need to heat up something to cast light. The results of this experiment can be used in many different practical situations. For instance, when setting up a light source near something that could easily catch on fire, it would not be a good idea to use one of the bulbs that give off a lot of heat energy. Also, if you want to use the most efficient bulb, you should consider the one that turns most of the energy it uses into light energy like the LED
For one thing, simple lifestyle changes can save kilowatts of electricity. One of these involves turning off the lights and electrical appliances when leaving a room. Shutting off computers can save watts – turning them off at night, and having them hibernate during the day if not in use is a good way to save energy
The United States consumes more energy than needed, compared to the rest of the world. However, to properly address such an issue as over consumption of energy, one first must understand what “energy” is.
Humans today are using much more electricity than we need to in our houses and this is impacting our world more then we realise. Although electricity is a huge advantage to humans it has the complete opposite effects on our environment. By using more electricity, we are using more of the earth’s resources and if we keep going down this road then we are going to run out. The solution for this mass overuse of energy is to build houses which are more energy efficient. Features like LED lightbulbs, insulating and even positioning your house in the correct position for natural airflow instead of using air conditioning are all ways we can help improve this problem.
CFL lightbulbs entered the market at an expensive price, yet the consumers continued to purchase them. Knowing the bulbs “paid for themselves,” the tradeoff was worth it. They used 75% less electricity than incandescent bulbs, lasted 10 times longer and emitted 450 pounds fewer greenhouse gasses. In previous years consumers relied on incandescent lights that were reliable and much less expensive than CFLs. CFLs were backed by utility companies that also wanted the product to be a success, which was obvious through their coupons, trade-ins and price promotions. Aside from the many benefits CFLs offered to consumers, market research showed there were misconceptions that caused hesitancy in consumer adoption. The original product had problems such as light flickering and buzzing, needed continual usage to result in energy savings, could not be used with a dimmer, and recycling the bulbs was not convenient as special measures were needed to dispose of the bulb.
