English writing prompt Ruff draft. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation.” -- Coretta Scott King, civil rights activist After the revolutionary war, they declared the United States of America a free nation, but was that entirely true? I don’t believe it is. After the revolution, slaves weren’t free until the civil war. Also, today, many people are fighting against people’s freedoms and restricting them. For example, The right to bear arms, the freedom of religion, and much more. Even regular people, of any age, fight for freedom all the time. It could be at the workplace, school, home, and more. Kids might fight with their parents to have a friend come over and spend the night on certain days or to get them to buy something, (even though it should be earned.) Teenagers may fight to go out with friends to go get some food at a nice restaurant or ask for permission to leave the house and ride around town. My point is, it’s never too early to start fighting for freedoms. No matter what age you are, you should have as much rights as anyone else. Fight for what you want or believe in, that’s a key to freedom and a good future. No one has just become rich or famous by standing around, they had to have plenty of fights for what they have now. There is a huge list of things you can fight for. I'm not saying to start a fight to start one, I’m saying to start one if its needed. For the adults, you could fight for a raise, or maybe equal pay at your job. You can see this happening all the time of workers going on a “strike” or a way to fight the workplace for what they want. At school, you may fight for certain foods in the lunch cafeteria. Maybe you can fight for certain types of assignments or test. The list goes on. No matter where you are, how old you are, or were you work or live, there is always something to fight for. To summarize this all up, fight for freedom. As Coretta Scott King said, freedom is never won once. You must fight for it as many times as needed.You never know, what you fight for today, could have a huge impact on what happens
