In reflection of my Of Mice and Men essay, I have reviewed and reflected upon my errors.
Overall, my greatest problems was my grammar and my constant usage of the word “you” in non-argumentative essays. Throughout my essay I had used “you” four times all together :

I have to be more careful and I should revise my essay more thoroughly and to ensure that I do not make similar mistakes that I had made here. The character in Of Mice and Men that is most similar to Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby is Curley. Curley and Tom Buchanan have many similarities throughout both books. These shared characteristics stem from one thing both men have an abundance of: privilege. Curley and Tom are easily two characters with the least amount of struggle in The Great Gatsby and Of Mice and Men.

This theme of of Mice and Men is that things don't always work out the way you plan, its developed through the characters dialogue and actions the throughout the book. The two main characters ,George and Lennie, despite their differences, form a family like friendship to face the loneliness that comes with being a Ranch workers. Lennie and George both cling to the hope that they can one day buy a small house throughout the course of the book. In the book the two main characters are Lennie Smalls and George Milton, and they are the best of friends. The only thing off is that Lennie is not all there, he is not normal. Some of the issues Lennie has is what leads them to leave to the farm. Lennie always seems to make things more difficult for George, but George still protects him and cares for him. (91).These was one of the events that took place at the end of John Steinbeck’s book, Of Mice and Men. After endless catastrophes and tragedies, Lennie small, a giant mental handicapped, and best friend of George. He makes a terrifying mistake of killing of Curley’s wife at the ranch. The men at the ranch try to bring Lennie to justice by killing him brutally. So, George should make a right decision of what to do with Lennie. In the end, George did the right thing by killing Lennie because he killed a woman, Lennie was mentally handicapped, and men at the ranch would have killed him.
John Steinbeck’s highly acclaimed Of Mice and Men is a classic American novella that paints a depressingly realistic portrait of America during the Great Depression in the 1930s. She is the only woman on her husband 's ranch. Because she’s the only woman in the ranch, the only people she has to talk to is her husband, and the ranch workers. In the play A Streetcar Named Desire written by Tennesse Williams, the characters Blanche DuBois and and Stella Kowalski are two women who are marginalized due to the period of time the play takes place.
Of Mice And Men' by John Steinbeck is a classic novel, tragedy, written in a social tone. The authorial attitude is idyllic, however, as the story develops it changes into skeptic. It is evident that Steinbeck knew the setting and places he is writing about.

Race and gender were very important characteristics that determined whether a person had the opportunity to make money. The 1930’s were also a time where people started questioning life and the American culture. Many people like John Steinbeck thought that life was very unfair and questioned whether if life was even worth living. In Of Mice and Men John Steinbeck demonstrates that mans dream is destined to be destroyed by a cruel reality.
