By researching food, all of the many different facts about Louisiana can tie together. There is always a cultural background when it comes to food anywhere. Here are three reasons why I chose to attend LSUE. I want to become a nurse one day, and I know this university offers a wonderful program in nursing. That is my first reason for choosing LSUE. My second reason is the driving distance; it's the closest university to where I live. My third, and final reason, for choosing LSUE is I know people who have attended this university in the past; they have nothing but great things to say about it. Because of these three reasons, I knew that LSUE would be the right choice for me.

New Orleans is a city that has always been immensely fascinating to me. I love that every street corner is teeming with culture and excitement. I have been visiting New Orleans ever since I was a young child and I love it. The energy of the city is so uplifting and inspiring. Earlier this year when I first learned about Tulane, I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to apply. My hometown of Austin, Texas is also a city filled to the brim with life and culture, but it is so different from New Orleans. Attending Tulane would be a major challenge for me but one that I would be extremely willing to take on. I would be exposed to so many new things and would be forced to step out of my comfort zone. It would be a thrilling opportunity to live in such a unique city during a time when I am exploring who I am. I particularly love how Tulane incorporates the local culture into school activities. The crawfish boils and Mardi Gras traditions are things that I have not been exposed to in Texas, and I would be excited to experience them at Tulane.

I have read this book a couple times now, and the many complex things I have learned are unbearable. Every chapter is important to what the end of the story is going to be. I think this story of a china rabbit finding his way back home had more plot twists than I thought this story would have. The first lesson that I will tell you will be to never give up hope on love, but to always know that somebody will find room in their hearts for you. When you figure out what love is, your heart will grow even bigger.

I am interested in attending Tulane University because of its academic and social opportunities as well as its location. Tulane has strong history, theatre, and dance departments. It is important to me that I go to a university where I can receive the best possible education in the areas that interest me. I am also interested in Tulane because it is a school where it is very easy to double major and minor. I have a lot of interests, and I think college is the time for me to explore them. The admissions counselor I spoke with told me that 70% of Tulane students have a minor, 33% have a double major, and some students even have a triple major. I think this also shows that Tulane is the type of school that attracts ambitious students with a variety of interests. Additionally, I like that the core curriculum at Tulane allows students to investigate different areas of interests and to possibly find a new direction for themselves. The admissions counselor I spoke to also discussed that around 1/3 of Tulane students study abroad. This appeals to me because I would like to be able to go study theatre in Europe. Furthermore, I have been studying Spanish for over seven years, so I am interested in study abroad in Spain where I could be completely immersed in the language.

When looking for a college, I prioritized my values and searched for a college that shared them. I believe I found this college in Tulane. We both share the desire to find different ways to improve society. I am always searching for ways to contribute to my community, and I do not want that to stop when I go to college. Discovering Tulane’s public service requirement confirmed that community service would be an integral part of my college years, just as I hoped it would be. A lot of my community service reflects my concern for animals, especially dogs. I have never lived a day without a dog by my side. If possible, I want to be able to continue this tradition while I am at college. When I was on campus for an information session and tour, I learned about the TUSTEP program. This program is an opportunity I cannot pass up and I am really excited to potentially be a part of it. I

New Orleans is a beautiful place full of fun surprises. It's a great place for a vacation expressly for family vacations, with everything someone could want like restaurants, amusement parks, rich cultures and all around great experiences. “Non Sibi Sed Suis” or “Not for oneself, but for one's own.” Tulane’s motto is not about education, but about serving the world by using your knowledge and being selfless. Success is measured by the impact you have had, not by personal gain. I believe that I shouldn’t be selfish and only care about how things benefit me. I should be concerned about others because there are 7 billion people on this Earth and each one of them deserves to have someone that can look out for them.

this is really important to me as I have watched countless disasters, such as the intense series of hurricanes and the wildfires Northern California. While I have been doing my best to help deal with these disasters through organizing a relief fundraiser for Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria at my school, I believe that the quality of Tulane’s education will arm me to make more impactful changes in the world.
