One of three children Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet born in Amherst, Massachusetts, 50 miles from Boston, born December 10, 1830. Dickinson is known for her unusual social life and reserved lifestyle. Dickinson went to Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in South Hadley But she only attended for one year. Dickinson was a very rare but bright individual at a young age Dickinson was not allowed to read different types of literature including Walt Whitman which like Dickinson was a great poet but was discovered after his life time. Her father Edward Dickinson did not allow any types of inappropriate readings in his home. He was a father who believed in fairness, and personal restraint to a point. That most people in the community took it as a severe and unyielding. When Dickinson was young she obeyed him as a child but she found ways to rebel like most children would after a while. Dickinson’s life was reflected on several poems “Because I could not for death” and “I heard a Fly Buzz” they both discuss death and their own ways. Many believe that everything Dickinson writing is always about death, loneliness and having an unhappy life but that’s so not true. Dickinson also enjoys writing about nature. “Because I could not stop for death” was one of Dickinson most enchanting poems. In “Because I could not stop for death” Dickinson describing her journey with death, nobody has a choice of when their time is or how they are going to die. In stanza 1 Dickinson paints
