"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy". Martin Luther King Jr. stated this many years ago. His words still stand true today.

We do not need to be saints to have good ethics. We do not have to be wealthy to know right from wrong. Individuals just need to have good ethics and our ethics are based on our morals and values. Not all individuals in today’s society have these virtues. Today many are driven by greed. Nevertheless, at the end of our path on earth we are all face the same outcome, which is death. I believe that what we do during our lives will help us get to the glory land and meet our maker. But overall, I believe that good morals and values should be carried out by individuals in everything they do. Both in their personal lives with family and friends, and in their work lives, with employers and colleagues. …show more content…

I have always been around the construction industry and growing up I remembers seeing my father argue with the construction superintendents quite often. I would hear them argue over deadlines or production. At that age, I never understood why they would argue and get to the point of disrespecting one another over work. Know that I have worked in construction as an adult and led crews as a superintendent; I have been able to understand the stressful role of a superintendent.
