Romeo & Juliet was originally a poem written in 1562 by Arthur Brooke. William Shakespare rewrote the poem into the popular play we know today in 1591. The play was set in Verona Italy where a young couple from feuding families fall deeply in love only to end in tragedy.

After reading Romeo and Juliet, I've decided that although Romeo and Juliet are responsible for the physical act of causing their own deaths by committing suicide, their young ages and lack of family support played a part in the tragic events that took place, The couple meet and feel deeply in love at a young age. They could not openly share their love or emotions due to family differences. Without guidance and family support they were alone and confused in thinking. They acted upon their love to quickly eventually making the decision to end their own lives. Even though they had only known each other for a short amount of time, they thought they loved each other so deeply they had no other choice. If they had thought about their decisions more thoroughly, had more wisdom and family support they would still be alive.

On the way to her tomb, he buys illegal poison from a poor man. Romeo: "A dram of poison, such soon-speeding gear, As will disperse itself throughout the veins, That the life-weary taker may fall dead, and that the trunk may be discharged of breath, as violently of hasty powder fired, Doth hurry from the fatal cannon's womb." Romeo is saying that when he takes the poison he wants to die fast, because he does not want to live without Juliet.
