Dear Virginia Governor, President, and whomever else it may concern,
I am writing this letter due to the fact I have a great concern with the situations the plague the area my family and I live in. I am writing a peaceful letter hoping that what I am saying can make a change in our society. I think that every where us “blacks” go should be equal. I have talked with others and no one appreciates the hate thrown towards us. Others shouldn't get offended because of the color of our skin, we should not even be getting mistreated for having more melanin than others.
It has been brought to my attention that the hate that has been thrown towards my family and I is outrageous, It completely disgusts me. African Americans are the main target. The

I have always wondered why do they treat us like they way they do? What is the real problem?
Many Americans do not see the effects it could have on African Americans down the road. Living in poverty will continue for decades if the only jobs available for us are low income jobs. We always have to work harder to get to where the whites are, it may take us a year to have something so simple that they can get in a day. Hate will continue and poor schooling will continue. We have faith in our children and we want the best of the best for them just as anyone else. Taking hand me down books, or even using materials that are not legible, are not good learning materials. I want to be able to say that I made a difference for those who are coming in this world a while from now to make sure they have it better than I did. I want to fight for these rights, even if I dont have the chance to live free. I know my works will benefit for one of my fellow brothers or sisters.
The United States, Virginia, and local Cities, need to establish a law or ruling that all men and women should be treated equally no matter what your skin color is. We all bleed the same blood and we all have different outer appearances. Why can't we get together and become one? And happy. It is not just the blacks who get mistreated it is also the Chinese, Mexicans, and even Philippines. These people are sick in the

Although some historians consider the Native Americans responsible for Bacon’s actions, could it be that Bacon was only after the native’s land and property and would do anything to obtain the land for his own financial benefit? In this essay, I will discuss Jamestown, Virginia in the 1600’s, and the conflicts between the settlers, Native Americans and the royalty from England that were sent to govern this area. This essay will also discuss why Bacon should not be considered a hero by taking into account the conflicts between the Governor Sir Berkeley and his corrupt government, the rebel Nathaniel Bacon, the settlers or tobacco farmers, and the Native Americans
On July 11, 1958 a couple of hours after midnight, Richard Loving a white man and Mildred Loving an African American woman were awakened to the presence of three officers in their bedroom. One of the three officers demanded from Richard to identify the woman next to him. Mildred, full of fear, told the officers that she was his wife, while Richard pointed to the marriage license on the wall. The couple was then charged and later found guilty in violation of the state's anti-miscegenation statute.
One of Mr. Patrick’s main reasons is that the British communities were stock piling militant forces that were meant for America.
For many years, African American had to fought for the right to a proper education. From Havin to walk long walks to attend black only school to being able to
The European voyage to the New World that would leave its long lasting impact and legacy to be mirrored for centuries.
During the 1600s when England began colonizing in the New World, different colonies had their own concept of freedom backed by their beliefs and/ or motives for settling in America. Massachusetts and Virginia were settled for very different reasons therefore life in their settlements differed greatly. The political, economic, social and of course physical aspects of the colonies were not at all the same, yet they both resulted in their colonies prospering and successfully settling the land. The settlers of each colony had searched for a place to express two contrasting beliefs of what freedom meant to them. Massachusetts and Virginia are two prime examples of how freedom can mean something
The United States Supreme Court was, and still is today, the important backbone of America’s judicial system. This court deals with numerous cases throughout the year and keeps the country and government fair with its decisions. However, being responsible for giving justice where it is due, the Court is sometimes faced with hard choices that will make a lasting impression on the U.S. and its people. In the case of Loving v. Virginia, it did just that. As a Supreme Court landmark case, Loving v. Virginia definitely indicated a critical moment of change in civil rights for America and interracial couples everywhere.
Therefore, changes are needed immediately to achieve justice because too many people of color have lost their lives to injustice. I believe the more the “Letter from Birmingham Jail” gets around to readers, the faster Americans will value
There have been many of times in the history of American where people have been treated unfairly. After the Civil War the 13th amendment was passed and black southerners were no longer slaves. Yet they were not really free. These people were unable to accesses the things that were necessary to sustain life. During this time African Americans had no idea what the “American Dream” was like. There African Americas of the south wanted freedom. They wanted the freedom of owing land, the freedom of marriage and bringing their families together once again. These people were willing to do whatever it took to be free, no longer having some telling them what to do or how to live. They intend to work and gain respect as any one American.
The Constitution of the United States of America, and its powers within, is supposed to support the overall liberty of our nation. In 1798, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson sought to fight for the states right to nullify laws that they deemed unconstitutional. This fight was spurred by the Alien and Sedation Acts which were “considered unconstitutional because they infringed on the reserved powers of the states” (“Virginia and Kentucky resolutions,” n.d., para. 2). The language in these resolutions was later brought to light in 1832 in support of the nullification position taken by South Carolina pertaining to the high tariffs on imports that the government imposed. In the end, the fight for states’ rights was neutralized by the Force
Why didn't Virginia turn to slavery as a system of labor immediately upon the arrival of African slaves in 1619? What factors led to the more gradual introduction of slavery into Virginia?
There are many differences between the states of Virginia and California. Virginia is on the East Coast of the United States, while California is located on the West Coast. The current paper will be a comparison of the two states above mentioned. It will mainly focus on demographic characteristics, migration, age distribution, languages spoken, marital status, housing, energy and transportation. It will also briefly focus on geography, cost and efficiency.
As I sit here and write to you and I look across the street of this tiny little home I live in I see the neighbors and in their front yard is a cross that someone has lit on fire. Why, because today he walked a white girl to school. Rumors started and now everyone knows that this little girl likes him. Yet he is being punished for it. It shouldn’t matter. If there is one thing that you need to know and one thing that I can teach you through this letter it is to be you. Know yourself. Never let anyone tell you that you can not do something. Most importantly, remember that loves has no boundaries. It sees no color. It does not understand hate. It does not segregate nor does it discriminate. I hope that you never have to endure the hardships that we have to endure during these trying times. Always remember to live with no regrets and never look back!
As I go to sleep, I dream of a place where everyone is treated equally and not judged by their race or culture. As I wake up the next morning I tell myself, “Life being treated equally… What is that?” For years racism has been around, When will it ever stop? We the people are tired of seeing innocent black lives on the news being shot up by police officers for looking “suspicious”. If the law does not seem to notice how big of a problem racism is becoming, One suggestion that I would give them is that they should take their time to read “Room For Rent”, By Richie Narvaez. After reading that story, it will give you a better view on how racism is a huge problem. While I was reading this story, it made me more interested to find out if this is really happening or is it just a myth. It makes me wonder if people actually face these ethnicity problems.
