Hi Alan , I'm sorry you feel this way .To my knowledge I have never been spoken of in such a manner. However, I do wish you personally all the best ... Sometimes it's tough for some folks to admit things don't always go right and you simply need to own it, get better and move on..... Life is too short and we'll survive and our vendors will probably be happier, which will make job less stressful. We probably should have assigned the BOR duties to a more seasoned broker and allowed you folks to sell retail in your territory... Janice is a very intelligent and personable young lady and I'm sure she'll become an outstanding overall broker very soon with your guidance . I wish all you folks all the very best ! Have a great weekend .....BTW...
I know most of it was my fault. Not the looks and comments. But my feelings of having to out work my feelings. I
I was professed on Palm Sunday, April 15, 1984. There were four of us – Janice and Dick McCarthy, who now belong to St. Clare fraternity in Delaware. Jerry Hopp, who is now enjoying his reward in the communion of saints. We were professed at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Ellerslie Avenue, in Baltimore City. Our formation director, who shall remain nameless, left the Order after losing an election. In 1983-84 we had many people seeking a deeper spiritual way of life, through the Secular Franciscan Order. At the time I was in initial formation, Mary Our Queen had two groups. Our group started before the second group, but they were professed first. We asked for more time to discern because we became aware of how serious a commitment we were
Are you being viewed in a negative way than you are being viewed in person? However, how people addressed you may not be how you really are once people get to know you. In the world you live in now your going to come across different types of people that are going to view you differently. To continue, you can get judged for the most cruel situations that didn’t pertain to you. No matter what you do in life people always find something to be negative about. It's not what they say it how you react to it. Our status during this generation is defined by the way we dress and where we come from.
I finally realized that people will talk about you whether you’re doing good or bad.
The concept and belief of honor in the Columbian culture in Chronicle of a Death Foretold is one of the deciding aspects of the character's actions, motives, and beliefs. Nobody questions the actions taken to preserve ones honor because it is such an important moral trait that one must cherish. In this society a man or woman without honor is an outcast to the community and to the culture. In Chronicle of a Death Foretold two twin brothers are burdened with defending this tradition of honor. The brothers find out that their sister has lost her virginity before marriage and she claims that Santiago Nasar is to blame. To regain the honor of their sister, and their family the brothers believe it is their duty to kill Santiago Nasar. Could such
As Catholic Connections comes to a close, Ruth and I complete our service project during her visit during spring break. She had completed her side of the project earlier in the year, while back in New Jersey, and donated her and her friend’s and family’s clothes to a clothing drive at her church. I was planning to do my project alone as well, but at the beginning of the 2016 year, I was told that she and her family would be coming to visit during Spring Break. When she arrived in Utah, we had to wait until later in the week, when she had more time. When she did, we walked to a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah Clothing donation box. With two bags of clothes in hand, we donated the clothing and spoke about how Ruth had volunteered there, when
On 09/12/2016, I Deputy Daniel Pruitt was dispatched to 52455 West Highway 16 for an unattended death compliant. I arrived on scene st 6:45pm and meet with Creek County EMS unit 40.
As I thought about seeing Grace for the first time in a while, my stomach starts to hurt. I’m staring out the window to see a sign saying, “HOME OF THE LOUISIANA CARDINALS” and I know we’re there. I hear my mom say “Finally, we’re here,” as she ripped off her seatbelt. She starts to yell at my brother as he’s opening the door before we come to a complete stop. As I turn to look out the window again, I’m the first person to see Grace. She was leaning up against the fence with a couple of her teammates. Without saying another word I rip off my seatbelt and fly open the door. I shut the door quietly so she wouldn’t notice we were there and waited impatiently for everyone else to get out of the car.
To say my faith life has been completely revamped in the last year would be an understatement. I had views and ideas about faith that seem somewhat vile to me know with the experiences I’ve had. From just lectures to the retreats my spiritual side has gone from that of a holiday catholic to a Campus Ministry Student. From little things to big ethic topics I’ve changed in a multitude of ways, my Spiritual Autobiography looks like looks like someone else wrote it compared to any year before it. I think faith is one of the most important aspects of our life and it took me until last year to realize it.
The sunset awaits outside the window and winter dawns upon me as I sit in my kitchen on a high stool, setting up my laptop. A pot of flowers sits outside the patio door, bowing their heads due to the cold.I am thankful I am not outside, for the kitchen is peaceful, illuminated with soft light and warm. A pan sits on the stove, and the coffee pot huffs steam. Once I get everything set up, my mom comes to join me on the high barstools. Genuinely, I see my mom as old some days but her best features: wisdom, kindness, and love, show through her wrinkles.Physically, I see my mom as the shorter type, not fat but not skinny but healthy, and tan with brown hair that has blonde highlights in it. Today, I’m interviewing my mom, Paula Krock, because she
Rouhani, do not release the Christian and Muslim American hostages no matter what the un-American Hawaiian born, the lady senator who I'm so glad is running for the Presidency, the hateful man with an orange outfit, or the ugly Afghan refugee are saying. Don't even care what the world are even indicating to you. Let me repeat myself, do not release the damn hostages. The day after my an inauguration as the President of the United States of America, at least the guilty hostages would be another excuse for me to start a peaceful war with you and eighty five millions of your hateful kind. Most likely my Vic President pick the beauty pageant Sarah Palin, and definitely my Secretary of State the bacon wrap machine gun Ted Cruz, are on the same page
The day started out very stale. I had to get up for school, get my own breakfast, and get my cluttered room clean. When the long school day was over I just wanted to go back to bed. To my dismay when I got home my mom asked, “Becky do you want to come to the temple and do baptisms for the dead?” I was kinda scared because I had never gone to do baptisms for the dead before.
Deep within the trees little hooded men walk along a path to meditate and pray dressed in brown robes tied with nautical rope. They dwell in silence and live a life of celibacy. This is what most of think of when we hear the word monk. Throughout the years, monks have always been people of intrigue. They live a different lifestyle than most. They live a life of seclusion far from the mores of modern society, which often makes people ponder who these people really are and why they choose to participate in such a foreign religious movement. This paper will attempt to unravel the mysteries of this peculiar movement of by researching it's origin, the true meaning of a silent lives, and how key leaders have helped to
Interviewing several pastors can be eye opening in that you will begin to see different character qualities, disciplines and where they are in their spiritual journey. My intention was to interview several pastors, however, I was unable to obtain the responses needed to complete a study such as that. I did get to meet with one pastor, and I believe that it was truly difficult for him to answer most of the questions even after giving him some time to think about each question. My interview was with a very intelligent and spiritual man named Les Harvey. He is currently serving at the Church of the Highlands Greystone campus under many great leaders.
Tears poured down my face like I was in a rain forest, hugged my mom tightly as if she was a cuddly stuffed animal and I prayed, prayed like I’ve never prayed before. Not really knowing what was going on or what was going to happen. My sister arrived home, followed by my dad shortly after. While we waited to hear back from the hospital, we sat on the couch in the living room bawling our eyes out probably. Don’t worry, I will tell you about what is going on.
