The first step that helped me to memorize my poem came from thoughtco.com written by Bob Holeman and Margery Snyder and It was to “ read It over slowly and read It to yourself aloud”. A very helpful tip was to constantly read It out loud to myself, paying attention to every detail. It took a while of reading my poem over and over again to finally memorize it and be able to recite it without messing up. Memorizing my Poem was not actually the hard part of this assignment, It was actually reciting It to someone. No one I am friends with are all that Into poetry that much, so I thought that reciting the poem to someone would be awkward, and It kinda was. It was not as bad as I thought It would be. I recited my poem to my friend Noah. Noah Is also Into hunting like myself, and since my poem was about hunting he thought It was a good poem. I soon realized that this assignment was not as bad as I thought It would be. Doing “poem In your pocket” was definitely a different experience but It was one for the books. I will have to remember poem in your pocket day for the future when I am off at college, and I will have to try and get my friends involved in participating in it with me. I have never heard of poem in your pocket day so I did have to read about it online to see what it was really about. During the period that Poe was lonely, he missed his biological mother that he loved so much. He kept dreaming about her.
