Welcome everyone to the funeral, in love and in memory of Simon Birch. I am Joe Wentworth, Simon’s best friend and I wouldn’t change it for the world. He was my hero and showed me what its like to have a true friend, so today I would like to talk about three of the main things I will always remember about my times with Simon, the Christmas play, finding my father, and the accident.

Babysitting is an intricate line of work that not everyone is suited to perform. Not only is it full of responsibilities, but there is also a child's life in your hands. In order to be a great babysitter, one must form a bond with the child or children. If the child does not like their babysitter, nothing but bad can come out of the situation. Forming a routine, being responsible, and changing stinky diapers are also all part of the job.

Now hold on, before you get too excited about babysitting, there are a few things you may like to know. These classes can usually be found at your local hospital, at least that is where I took mine. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, a city where I realized being an American is an unbelievable blessing to have in your life. I would have to thank my mother for risking her life, and having the courage to move to the United States when she was only eighteen. Without her courage I would be living a completely different life right now. The opportunities one has as an American is shocking. Not realizing how fortunate Americans are in their country, with job opportunities, public school system,and child labor laws. Basic laws are not as easily accessible in other countries; one would have to be quite wealthy to receive these essentials in their country. The opportunities I am able to receive through this country makes me proud I was made in the USA.

Or other times I have kids who love playing games that keep me entertained. I have had some interesting incidents while babysitting that made up for the times where I kind of slacked off a little bit.
