My observation began in the outside play, first with the animal pin and then played with the outside toys. When going into the animal pin Emily had a smile on her face and walked around and looking at each and every animal, she bent her knees down, reached using both hands she grabbed a chicken and when the chicken would move she would say, “silly chicken”. During the outside play Emily kneeled down, petted the pig with her right hand and said “Aww, it’s so cute!” Later on in the animal pin Emily reached put with both hand and pushed another classmate for trying to hold the same chicken. In addition, Emily would repeatedly tell other classmates “pet him softly, don’t hurt him” when they would try and pet the animals. When transitioning into …show more content…
Emily then ran to the slides and went down the slides with her legs extended and closed together a few times. When going into the classroom the teacher passed out wipes for the kids to clean their hands and Emily properly wipes her hand off and threw the wipe in the trash. After cleaning her hands Emily went to sit down when snacks were being passed around she asked the teacher “I want raisins, can I have a lot of raisins”. When eating her snacks Emily grabbed the raisins using her pin grip form and ate her snack. Emily interacted with her classmates and they talked about their snacks by saying “you still have a lot”, “you have a lot of raisins”. After snack time the teacher passed out a picture of a chicken where the kids had to trace it to complete the chicken body. When the teacher told the kids to pick a dark color to trace the picture of the chicken, Emily picked up the color red violet by using her right hand index and thumb together and said, “mine is dark”. With her right hand Emily then held her crayon in pin grip form and with her left hand she rotated her picture and traced the chicken
On this date and time this worker met with Elizabeth Rhodes at Holtville Elementary. She appeared to be clean, healthy, and adequately dressed.
On Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 1500 hours I was dispatched to 119 S. Main St. for an assault in progress. Schuylkill County Communications (COUNTY) advised me it is being reported that a male is assaulting two females out in the street. COUNTY advised me that screaming and yelling can be heard in the background on the telephone.
It seemed like she liked playing with others more than just playing by herself. When the little boy came over to knock the blocks over she started laughing, because she thought it was so funny. Also, when she was in her crib after she got in trouble, and the child approached her again to play she quickly stopped crying and began to play with him. Even when she was walking with the walker she wanted someone to play with her and when she started “chasing” the other child with the walker she laughed again. This shows me that she is very social and plays well with
My observation of children took place at a private preschool. The name of this preschool “Music, Art Shostacovish school”. As this a summer time, there were only 3 small groups of children. First group has children from 2-3 years old, second 3-4 and third 4-5, and each group has only one teacher. I observed second group. There were about 7 children that day, 5 girls and 2 boys. But as per teacher, Miss Alena, this group has 9 kids.
Setting : Observation took place in a classroom of Richmond Preschool . There were 18 children who are 4 years old, 3 ECE teachers and 1 volunteer during this observation.
I thought he was the cutest thing he said please and thank you every time he asked for a toy from an adult. He was able to say complete sentence such as” I need to go poop, don’t touch my toy”. Followed by “Can I please play with the other toy”? I though he was the most adorable thing very well mannered. He played nice with all the other children and was able to share. His sentences were understandable and clear. Although he was sitting next to the girl, he played to himself and he talked to himself. He made the train noise as he crawled around playing. At one point during his play while he was lying down on the ground and he was holding the train over his head, he became loud and started saying “stupid” followed by other words. This made me wonder do his parents when expressing stupid say it in aggressive manner. He sure has a great memory remembering this terms I believe the boy had no idea what he was saying since he was express playing. His attention seemed normal when and adult called his name he stopped playing and looked in the direction the individual was calling his
All children are different in their unique way. The goal of this assignment was to observe different children in an uninterrupted environment. Although all the children observed were the same age, they all acted differently during their observation. The differences in the way we react to different situations are what make us human. These differences can be explained through the theories that different psychologist have developed over the years. Some children react better to things like praise from a teacher or being able to be creative in the activities that they are participating in.

For our child observation project, we interacted with a seven year old boy named Nolan.
For this assignment, I observed my six year old niece, Faustine Bui who was born on August 16, 2007, at the park where I was babysitting her with her mom for approximately thirty minutes. The park I observed her at is packed with children and dogs are allowed. There is a large play area with jungle-jims and slide and it includes a sandy area which has a variety of playing equipment as well.
Describe the locations where you conducted observations and how much time was spent observing at each site: who was there, what were they doing, when and where did you observe, how was it being conducted. Briefly describe the people and setting at each site.
Subject “Chris” is a 7 year old middle class Caucasian male. Observation is taking place in the child’s home over the course of two separate afternoons. Chris is a friendly and well spoken child who is small for his age. Chris is the youngest child in his family and both observations take place while his siblings are home. In each case one or both parents are absent.
Behavior Observed: Upon entering the house Abby politely took my jacket and hung it up on a chair. She then ran up the stairs and asked me to come see her dollhouse. She identified every little thing in her dollhouse as she was showing it to me. She showed me the “windows”, “stove”, “soap”, “mantel”,
In the play area “J” goes to the science cabinet and took blocks out from the cabinet. And the teacher saw what he is doing. She went over to him and said: “Not right now!” He didn’t like what the teacher said to him and he threw the blocks across the classroom. The teacher didn’t like what he did, and told him: “You could have hurt someone”.
For this child observation, I decided to observe my younger brother Jacob. Jacob is 5 years old, but he insisted that I write that he is almost 6. He is also in kindergarten this year and loving every second of being a loud, rowdy boy. I suppose I am at an advantage in this observation since I have seen the numerous developments in Jacob’s life thus far.
