I have a major fear of clowns. It started with a terrible occurrence in my youth. Everytime I see one I have this horrible feeling that makes me sick. Of my experiences, I had one encounter that made my fear somewhat decrease. Most of my fear from them is what I didn't know or see. But I'm still not afraid of the circus. Clowns always frightened me as a child, but one Halloween made it even worse. I was on a haunted house tour with my family when I accidentally was diverted. Not knowing I was alone for a while I wandered into a room full of killer-looking clowns and they all swarmed me at once. The quick outburst of them from every direction was so terrifying that I passed out right where I was standing and awoke in the hospital. I looked over to my mom and she said "They have something to say." I looked to my right side and I saw the clowns once again this time they looked even more evil. Once again I passed out. The next time I woke up I checked to make sure there wasn't any clowns and then checked again to be safe. Lucky for me there were none to be seen and I was relieved but still on edge from the whole encounter. My mom entered the room soon after I gathered all my nerves. She said that she thought that me seeing them and …show more content…
Every so often I would think about the horrible creatures or see them on the TV, whenever I stumbled upon them I would change the channel immediately. But one day, while getting gas,I saw something across the parking lot that I never wished to see again in my whole entire life. It was in fact a clown, I quickly threw the hose back in its holder and jumped in my car with out getting gas and left. After getting gas from somewhere else I didn't think much of what happened until, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the big nosed creature once again. It must've followed me because I was close to my house and it was still following me close

This lasted for many years, until he was about 10. His friends found out about his fear and they would wear masks and scare him all the time, and bully him because of his fear. His most horrific day Halloween because so many people dressed as clowns, he was almost too scared to go out that night.
What started as a series of "creepy clown" sightings in some regions of the United States, with people dressed up as clowns and supposably trying to lure children into the woods, has become a growing problem. Threats on social media and sightings of the clowns have led to school closings and warnings from law enforcement, along with more than a dozen arrests. On August twenty ninth residents at the Fleetwood Manor Apartments in Greenville County, South Carolina, reported seeing a person wearing a clown costume had been spotted around the apartment complex trying to convince children to come into the woods. On September fourth, police in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, receive a call about a clown looking to lure children into the woods.
I hate clowns they scare the crap out of me. I have had bad experiences with clowns at haunted houses so I am terrified of them. I do not see why someone would go to the doctor or anything like this. People are strange and such . There is many more bizarre ways to dress and present yourself, just clowns came to my mind.
To me, they are extremely creepy, but for some reason I don’t really know why i’m frightened from them. I mean, why are people scared of clowns if they were meant to make people happy? This is because the fear develops
Imagine you’re at the skate park, all of a sudden your all alone, every one leaves you arrive. A clown shows up
It all started when I was three or four years old and I thought it was going to hurt me or haunt me so every time a clown comes close to me, I get scared because of its makeup and what they put on their face because I freak out when I see a clown, so I feel like I’m always scared of a clown when I see one because of the laughs and how they talk in their little squeaky voice because it’s scary and creepy, I also believe that they were going to hurt me or take me away do something bad to me because of their makeup and how they would
Riding a fear of clowns through clowning Clowns have been present in almost every culture for over X years; often being used to say what is needed to be said or to tear down misunderstood ideas. The nature of clown is to act as a social commentary while still remaining grounded in what makes humans human. It is because of their nature in connecting to their emotions and saying what is socially unacceptable that coulrophobia or the fear of clowns has become a growing and relatively new problem. Mostly mediated by the portrayal of clowns in pop culture, this phobia ranges from young children to fully grown adults. For some people, the image of a clown or even just the red nose of a clown is enough to bring them to tears while for others clowns are merely uncomfortable to be around.
Even Stephen King—whose novel IT brought to life one of the scariest clowns known to man — Pennywise— urged people to not be afraid, tweeting: “Hey, guys, time to cool the clown hysteria — most of em are good, cheer up the kiddies, make people laugh."
Recent sightings of people dressed as sinister clowns have nearly, but not quite, ignited a nationwide case of coulrophobia, otherwise known as the fear of clowns. In the broad scope of the matter, these alleged incidents are not taken seriously by a vast majority of Americans. Why? Many people simply do not believe that the sightings are real.
I think clowns are scary, people find this whole clown thing scary because they see it on the news and hear it from people. People never thought that clowns were necessarily scary before rather they were for amusement. Now hearing about clown sightings in the U.S people find them scary. Watching scary movies and going on carnival rides is not the same thing, people do these things because they're just normal for everyone to do for thrill and fun. People scare other people because they find it fun or funny but other people might find it creepy, rude, mean and scary. These fads spread quickly through social media, the news, YouTube and the newspaper etc. I think these "clowns" should be warned because people are scared

One night there was a clown “and his face is creepy, and they also jump scare you’’.
