My Character Trait Essay By Avi If your friend told a secret, would you tell someone else or keep it a secret? Harry from Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K Rowling decided to keep a secret when he was told to. This proves that Harry Potter is caring person. this becomes evident when Harry is there to stand up for his people, he got their back. For example when Harry did not tell Ron’s secret and kept it a secret because Harry paid respect about him. This shows that Harry is caring because he cares deeply about almost everyone. He knows what’s right, and what’s wrong. This shows Harry is caring person. Because he has a “what can I do to help” mentality. He always cares about everyone. He is ready to fight back when helping others.

Secret is defined as something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others. If that is true, why do we tell others our secrets? No one's secrets are truly theirs, at some point anxiety will build up, information accidentally comes out, or you may just tell someone. Your confidentialities are not always yours, at a young age kids tell their parents everything. As those kids grow up, and become teens they start to develop barriers between their parents. Not telling them whatever is going on, at school or at practice can only last so long. This is hardly the case, because everyone has told their friend or parent something that was meant to be classified. For example, if one player on the basketball team knows a secret about another player, the whole team knows. That is due to the fact that we are a family and don’t care what we think of each other, because we are one. Trustworthiness is hard to prove, confidence is needed to tell someone a secret. If the friend is not trustworthy then that secret could be floating around school completely changed from its original stature. A secret is only a true secret if it is kept with only yourself. Just as honesty is evident in life so it is in literature. In William Shakespeare’s famous love story, “ Romeo and Juliet” and in life, withholding secrets is the

He always helps other people and is always polite. An example is when he was asked if he had been over to Mayella’s before and he said lots of times. Each time Mayella asked him to do something he did it. Not because he had to but because it was the right thing to do. “’ Were you paid for your services?

Personality is something that can be defined as “the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character”( English, Oxford Dictionaries). In the book “Out of the Silent Planet” written by C.S Lewis you are able to see how the main characters Weston, Ransom and Divine each contribute their own personalities and viewpoints to the story. Since their philosophies are vastly different from one another this takes a effect of the story. The characters of the novel “Out of the Silent planet” not only affect how decisions are made but also the effect their attitudes create when interactions take place in the book.
Orson Scott Card, an American novelist, once said, “A character is what he does, yes-but even more, a character is what he means to do.” This quote is impactful because the character in a story is given its character traits by the personality, actions, and intentions that are shown throughout the development of a story. With this being said, the choices, actions, and intentions that one has and shows, impacts others and reveals the type of person that one really is. The intentions that one has sets up someone for recognizing who that person really is.
gentle, and caring on the outside, but in actual fact, he uses his loving behavior as a mask to cover
Personification, penetrates the pages of Harry Potter. There are many examples of objects coming to life in ways that seem mundane to the average witch or wizard, such as the self-washing dishes in the Weasly home (CS 34). There are also personified objects that are shocking to those in the Wizarding world, like the Whomping Willow. By far the most interesting use of personification would be the sorting hat. The hat alone is responsible for placing each student in their respective houses.
So what does “real” mean? To Sterling, it refers to civilized people and the western cuisine that fuels civilized, white society. As a result, Sterling wishes to adopt western-style foods. He believes white foods are “real” food, and recalls how his “family flirted occasionally with real food. What real people ate” (76), which was food served from boxes and cans and Swanson TV dinners. This white food, served with every item organized into its own department, served as a sharp contrast to Chinese cuisine with everything mixed together. As Xu explains, “to identify with the national ideal the racialized Other must desire its own denigration” (Xu 65). For Sterling, in order to identify with the white, middle class American ideal, he must simultaneously
