Dear palm beach state college i would like to become one of your students and attend the school i find it to be a wonderful location and its closer to home. Also the pricing for the classes are reasonable enough to be paid also its can be an area where you can have friends or even know people from around the area. Another reason for me wanting to go to the college is that it can also save me gas and money knowing that i would not have to travel as far. Therefore I can say many things why I want to attend palm beach state college and it just a great feelings knowing that it is in florida. I come from a small town called clewiston fl where we do not have a big population in school it is a small amount of students and there is not as many classes to choose from so there are some …show more content…
So coming from such as a small community and such a small high school the chance to get into this college will help me out in a great manner because it will lead me a long way in life. Therefore that will give me a chance to be successful in my career that the college can teach me for. Also palm beach college can teach you to be a responsible person and teach you to not depend on nobody for your work. Whenever you get a great advice from people close around telling you how great of a college palm beach state is it also motivates and encourages you to want to come to the campus even more. Most of all the college do not be in section all day like a typical high school and another things is the professor may teach you people skills that most people may not have because they have been shy they whole four years of high school. What encourages me the most is the college is not a type of college where you do all types of partying and things that will have you distracted from learning like most university do becauses they have many parties on campus that can lead you to messing up with your grades. That’s why I would love to have a chance to be able to be on the campus of the
Being here at Spelman has taught me so much. I am responsible now than I have ever been. I do not have to wait on people to tell me to do anything because I know that I can do it on my own. At first I could only imagine what the future holds for me, but now I can see it because it is getting brighter and brighter. Spelman College is my choice and I will chose to change the world with the education that it has bestowed in
It feels like everyday I meet people who ask me what college I want to attend. I give them the usual list of colleges I wish to apply to, but when Hofstra University comes up, people ask me, “why do you want to apply to Hofstra University?” I say there are infinite reasons why I wish to go to Hofstra. The number one reason being that it is really close to home. Hofstra is an excellent school - one of the best schools in New York. Hofstra has over a 100 distinct majors and minors to choose from ranging from Biology to Engineering to American Studies. I plan to major in Biology, and Hofstra is the best for my major because it has resources to offer its students giving them hands on experiences. Being an AP student, I love to take arduous classes
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
There are several things I hope to gain from my experience as a student at California Baptist University. Such things include, a community of God loving, supporting and encoring friends, a Christian based education and opportunities to grow into the person God created me to be.
Not only monetarily, but also mentally. Attending would certainly allow me to go to my dream school, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, while still being fiscally responsible. Additionally, it will allow me to go to almost any other university if I so desire. Eventually, it will allow me give back to the community and support other aspiring students. I am also positive that SC GSSM will help me mentally. With the low teacher to student ratio, the teachers positive attitudes will no doubt rub off on me. I also believe that the college style teaching environment will teach me responsibility and the value of planning. Attending GSSM would most certainly mold me into a mentally and mentally and fiscally mature citizen.
Western Oregon is a standard 4-year, medium sized college. It is located in the small, rural town of Monmouth, but only 10 miles from an urban city. Being primarily residential, Western Oregon brings a certain family vibe, which they claim you cannot find anywhere else. Many students say that their favorite part of Western Oregon is the size, since it gave them more one-on-one time with their professors. There are a total of eighty-three majors. Before financial aid and any scholarship money are entered the tuition is $8,274 for in-state students, while out-of-state student’s tuition is $21,759.
Choosing to attend Spelman College as one of many decisions I have to make as a student was an easy task. Ever since I can remember, one of my biggest aspirations was to be accepted to and attend Spelman College. Through the years, Spelman women in my life have demonstrated their commitment to uplifting children, families and the community. Considering that Spelman is a liberal arts college that provides an intimate and nurturing environment, I have no doubt that it will provide the tools I need to be successful.
Ever since my sister attended Troy University and told me about all the superior activities Troy has to offer, I have wanted to attend this college. Troy has an outstanding nursing program, and that is the career field I plan on going into prior graduation. I have always wanted to specialize in neonatal nursing with sick babies. Troy also has some awesome sororities at their school I am interested in being a part of. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sorority I am most interested in. They strive to achieve academic excellence and they help out their school as much as they can. Lastly, Troy has a very beautiful, clean, and safe campus. Feeling safe while walking around your college is a very important factor to me.
Before I was accepted to this University back in 2012, my school took us on a trip to visit the school. When we arrived on the bus I was so excited. When I stepped off the bus, I knew that this school was made for me. The way the school looked to the way they operated fit me. The operation of the school is very easy to learn and easy to adapt to. The operation included easy access to counselors for first year students as well as transfer students. This is very helpful for the students who are new to school and do not have anyone to show them around, like I did not. I also loved the way they had Freshman’s in particular dorms
One thing I needed in my college of choice was that it had to be small because I knew I would be able to focus better. My first choice, Towson University, was a large school and all my friends currently go there, but God, and my perspicacious mother, clearly knew I should not go there because of the countless distractions that would have hindered my success. The small atmosphere of Catawba enabled them to have a family style relationship all around campus. I am used to this family style because it reminded me of my high school. Another reason I chose to enroll at Catawba was because of its six hour distance away from my home known as the DMV, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, area. I have been in that area all my life and living somewhere else for I think would be greatly beneficial to my development as a person and would broaden my perspective. The other aspect of moving away from where you have been all your life is that you have to leave behind all your family and friends and that is one of the hardest parts. However, you will have a newfound appreciation for them that
The diversity of NC State would benefit me by allowing me to experience new relationships and skills. I learn and develop through my experiences, and the mixture of the campus, culture, and nearby cities would give me that growth. These new opportunities
I chose to attend LaGuardia Community College because this school was recommended by family members who had attended this college. Many people had told me that I would receive a lot of help with academic advising and other resources. At first, I was hesitant of coming to LaGuardia Community College, but I am happy with my decision. I think I have made the most out of my time at LaGuardia Community College. I have managed to keep my grades up and am a part of Phi Thetta Kappa Honor Society and on the Dean's List for Academic Achievement.
The main reason I see UCF as one of the best colleges for myself is the campus’s distance away from my home. The UCF campus is within driving distance of where I currently live, allowing me to live in the same house while I attend all my classes each day. Reputation has also always been important to me when looking for a college. If a place does not have a good reputation, I do not see much reason to give it a chance. However, UCF is known as one of the biggest colleges in the US and one of the most successful. I also had two friends attend UCF, one for the exact same major as I plan to go for and one that took a very similar major. Both of them have highly recommended UCF for the major I wish to take. Though having this kind of reputation is nice, I was told multiple times to visit the campus myself because not every college is made for everyone. So, I took a tour of UCF on a school sponsored trip and found everything I had heard to be true. The campus was beautiful and the staff were all very kind. After spending the day on the campus I knew this college, after everything I had heard and where it was located, was the one I wanted to
I chose to attend West Hills College so that I will be close to home. A small college will be great because I believe it will continue to provide a strong sense of community. The aspect of a strong sense of community will work best because it offers a better opportunity of interacting with your college peer. Attending a small college come with many positive outcomes. One of the many positive outcomes it has is that you have the privilege to interact more with the instructor and the students that are in the class. Furthermore being enrolled in a community college for instance West Hills College Coalinga gives you the privilege of making friends. Going into a smaller campus helps students get to their class faster without an exception of getting
I know that this college would be a great opportunity to show others that you can come from nothing and actually become something. I live in a family where my mother dropped out of school in the 8th grade and my father didn’t go to college. I will be the first in the family to go to college. I feel as though this college would be the best college to start out with.
