I’m applying for the FOTA Summer Education Grant so that I may use this grant to pay towards the tuition of $1850 for the California State Summer School of the Arts this summer. In the Christian Brothers Arts program, I am a part of the 4 year art program, I’ve participated in both the Christmas card and Easter card contests, I’ve taken part in the bowlathon, and I’m planning on submitting my art into the De La Salle Exhibit. The CSSSA is a program with a great reputation for students who plan to have a career in the arts. It’s a one month living on campus program that will allow students to learn from professionals in the field, experience new techniques and tools, refine and improve their skills, as well as network with students that have
You are a manager for Riordan Manufacturing. You recently administered a series of assessments to your three employees to give you a better understanding of their different traits. You have begun putting together an Employee Portfolio for each employee. Now you must use the information from the assessments to create a Motivational Plan.

As you may have heard, Mr. Swift has made a very modest proposal about what to do with the situation of starvation among adults. Mr. Swift has proposed that after a year of a child's birth, they be eaten if the family wishes. I, being a mother of a baby, currently, could not approve of this proposal more. Me and my husband together, concur, this will allow us to not go hungry, but also fulfill our wish to have another baby. We've always wanted more kids, but we only desire a baby. We don't want them after they have grown older. We already have an older son. Now, with this proposal, we won't go hungry and we can stay full for months on end and all I must do is push out a baby. No big deal.
Don’t forget to indicate any time spent on health essentials such as recreation, sleep, and exercise.
“Northside Achievement Zone” someone replied when I asked, “What does NAZ stand for?” from that very moment I knew I wanted to learn more about this organization. After collaborating with NAZ, and learning about the services they provide to a community that I’m a part of, I then knew I wanted to be part of the organization. I believe that my passion not only for youth work but my passion to impact my community positively is what motivates me to become apart of the Northside Achievement Zone and push scholars to succeed.

At the start of my Sophomore year attending San Diego State University I joined a club called Aztecs Professional Pre-Health Organization (APPHO). Not only did APPHO introduce me to other students who have the same motivation to enter into the Health field as I do, but it also helped me find guidance on my path to becoming a Physician.
Fitting in has always been a challenge for me. Even though I have lived in Unionville since I was in kindergarten, I sometimes feel that I do not fit the role of a stereotypical Unionville student: a rich, well-rounded student with a 4.0 GPA.
I am interested in Malone University because of how involved I am in my community already and how I can transfer that to the Malone community in the future. I also would like to play soccer at Malone because my high school coach was an Malone alumni and played soccer. He is a role model to me because he is a successful soccer player and coach, and he is also a well respected figure in Hudson High School. I want to become a math or science teacher at the high school level and he showed me what a great teacher looks like. I have played soccer for only five years but improved every year and want to expand my growth into my college years. I visited Malone in 7th grade for a cross country race and immediately recognized the beauty of the campus.
I am a very active student in the community and in my school. I am involved in a lot of extracurricular clubs and activities such as the Art Club, Prom Committee, Interact, Web, Link, Athletic Club, Ambassador, Yearbook Club, and Environment Club. However, my favourite club is the Art Club since it is one of the most committed club in my high school. To be precise, every year, we organize and participate in a chalk drawing contest called Chalk-athon to raise money for CHEO. We have also made a mural and decorated drums that were donated to the Apples and Art Studio. Recently, we painted a city transit bus right in our hometown for the Christmas Parade and we also painted on the glass windows of Canadian Tire. Ever since I was young, I always had a deep passion for art and this passion and commitment were confirmed when I received a mark of 99 percent in visual arts in my high school report card. I also received the Highest Achievement award for art in grade nine and eleven. As a result, I take pleasure in drawing, painting, stretching and trying out new types of
Many universities offer an array of clubs; however, John Hopkins encourages an environment that will create an enriching, diverse life for their students. As a student who pursues many different creative avenues, I am able to continue them through John Hopkins and possibly even explore and discover more things through the four hundred undergraduate programs
is past October, I had the chance to complete my service work while working alongside with other students from Cabrini, the Villanova community and other volunteers within the local community at the 29th Villanova Special Olympics. The reason why I have selected to do my service work at the Special Olympics because ever since I was in high school, I’ve always loved showing my support for both children and adults with intellectual disabilities because despite our difference there is no reason that everyone deserves their time in the spotlight. Even if that means me providing their help by providing water as runners past the rest stops to cheering on the sidelines on the soccer field. I love knowing that the end of each event that I volunteer
motivated. Some rewards included small activities like watching educational movies or enjoying some healthy juice from BOOST stores mostly after my exercise sessions. It has been suggested that reinforcement such as self-rewards work as good motivators for changing behaviours (Bond 2014). Intrinsic motivators (pride in achievement) and extrinsic motivators or external incentives (material) both motivators are believed to be useful for positive reinforcement in behavioural changes, especially in the early stage of change (Bond 2014). Both internal and external rewards act as stimulation that drives an individual to adopt or change behaviour (Bond 2014).
When people in my community of Cedar Springs, Michigan ask why I go to school 25 miles away from my house, my answer is always the same. When I began school in Cedar Springs, I wanted to leave a legacy. I have tried to make an impact on many areas in my community, and moving schools would mean leaving work unfinished.
