Although standing out as an individual may seem as a reliable option for some, in most cases conforming may also be the best as well. As examples, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, “Shooting an Elephant”, and “Little Boxes” demonstrate acts characters face in order to choose when it is right to conform or when it is right to become an individual. In the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Huck is faced with a dilemma of trying to find himself as a person in a world that does not really understand him. In addition to trying to fit in with society, he is caught between deciding whether to conform into what everyone's thoughts are against Blacks or becoming an individual and standing up as to what he thinks should be done.

Health care is something that everyone requires in order to lead a healthy life. After a visit to a hospital there are instances when certain individuals require further care due to their circumstances. Although hospitals may provide long-term care, it is not usually ideal. Hospitals are in place to handle emergency situations and aid in stabilizing the patients. Once the patients are stable, they must be transitioned to another facility if they require further assistance. This will avoid maximum occupancy for the hospital and allow it to remain available to other patients that may need their services. Patients who require long-term care or around the clock care and are in good medical condition should seek a long-term care facility, such as a skilled nursing facility or nursing home. For some individuals, facilities such as skilled nursing facilities or nursing homes are a blessing. These types of facilities are in existence to aid in the recovery of certain injuries and or to provide living arrangements for those who lack someone to care for them or assist with meeting their health care needs.
The type of group approach I would propose for this population is a support group. Support groups are an important part of the approach used in helping the bereaved suffering from grief and loss. An important goal of the support group is to use mutual aid to help participants understand and accept themselves as they are (Raby,R 2010). . Mutual aid is sometimes used in a support group to help participants share resources for mutual benefit. Understanding and acceptance are the first steps towards self-help in a group.
